    Mira raises her sword to strike it down, but it disintegrates at the touch of your lance. The demons continue to mass together, whether to attack you or the fort you cannot tell. The balban charges you, swinging its mighty fist. You dodge the blow with a few inches to spare.

    The balban is at last vanquished. It collapses into a writhing pile of worms which then sink into the earth, vanishing completely.

    The remaining demons single you out. A schir and some of the dretches charge you. You strike the schir, but it still manages to gore Trombe with its horns. The steed rears back in pain. A dretch also succeeds in raking the steed's belly with tooth and claw.

    Trombe takes 26 damage.


    Mirabelle delivers a mighty blow to the offending dretch, nearly killing it.

They don't withdraw their full distance as to not discourage being chased.

    Trombe Double-Moves to 27BA/28BB. Initial preference is in a straight line. However, if anything gets in the way, Trombe will go around, trying to avoid AoOs.

    You lance the brimorak dead, and continue northwards. A group of schirs north of you are waiting. They charge, powerful horns only just stopped by Trombe's barding.

    "Crap, they're converging again! Can't let them get inside..." After having Trombe perform just a small adjustment step, Karrin, Trombe, and hopefully Mira unleashes a torrent of attacks on a Schir, taking advantage of the fact that its guard is lowered from having charged.
