I may be recalling this incorrectly, but I think there was also a small collection of half-elves further to the north. I have a suspicion that their presence was edited a lot, especially while the lack of humans was being worked on.

The god created being lies in a prison beneath the earth. The few that know about it say it is immune to gods own magic and possesses the power to assume the square of its opponents strength. The underground prison has not been found by anyone because the space around it is warped so that those trying to mine into it instead mine around it.
