    Sounds great, thanks Saturday alright?
And I'll get onto people who might like to come and see who's up for it.

Oh, and I doubt it'll be needed but just in case, are there any buses or anything from Richmond to Forbidden Corner?

Hokay! I have purchased 3 tickets to Forbidden corner, for me, Thufir, and Thufir's friend. If Tasroth wants to come he'll have to get his own (for 3pm, specifically).

edit: Checked train times to Darlington. They come all the time (and much more frequently and less expensive than trains to Richmond, incidentally), and the trains back go on later than the Metro.

Cool cool. You just need to tell me what time you're arriving in Darlington so that I can come and get you.

...and now I feel like an idiot for having entirely forgotten this thread...

Technically, the third person could sleep on the sofa (I use the term "sofa" very loosely). However, in that case, the flat managment won't be responsible for any damage, temporary or permanent, to your spine.

Which is to say, if you have a sleeping bag, it's better for your health if you bring it.

I look forward to it. =) Will you be turning up in the evening on the 11th? Just thinking about which day to book off - the 11th, 12th or 13th. If push comes to shove, I'll give you a copy of my flat key so you can go to and fro if you need to while I'm at work.

To clarify on this, I can't really offer you a bed or a sofa or anything, and I can't really say much about anywhere I haven't used. That said, I have looked around a little. If you're OK with youth hostels, YHA Bath and YHA Bristol should both have beds for under £20, with Bath being slightly cheaper than Bristol (the price varies over time).

After that, there are a few fairly cheap places -- the University of Bath offers rooms from £30 outside of term time, for example. After that, it looks like you'll be looking mainly at expensive places costing £50 or more.

I've got a couple of places lined up, although it depends on how long Thufir's gonna be travelling with me (and it'll totes be cheaper for me if he stays the whole time. Just saying.)

I'll get there on the 11th, and my flight leaves on the 13th. Do you mind if I ask roughly where you are? I'm a bit iffy on how far it is from Succubus' to the airport, so I may take you up on your offer if you're significantly closer (sorry Succubus. Hang-outs shall be had regardless!).

If you're flying from Heathrow, the Piccadilly line runs between my flat* and the airport with a change at Acton Town. If it's Gatwick, that would be a little more tricky to get to from here.

I'm in SE London. From my place, it's a direct train to Victoria (30 minutes), then you'd want District line then Picadilly line. Apparently you are looking at 90 minutes, door to door. Add another 15-20 minutes for "ooh look I'm lost" time.

Ashtagon: Thank you very much for the offer, but it looks like Succubus wins in the "closeness to Heathrow" stakes. I'll keep you updated with what's happening, though, and we'll meet up!

Succubus: I'd probably recommend taking the day off on the 13th, and recommend definitely not taking the day off on the 11th. I'm neutral on the 12th, although I may attempt to entice Nameless and Mal to take me out that evening.

Archon: Yay! Nothing specific, 'cept that burger place. I'll keep you updated too.

Ok, I'll let the boss know. As an idea, if I'm working on the 11th and 12th, perhaps crash at Ashtagon's on the 11th and then stay here on the evening of the 12th, so that all your stuff is near to Heathrow and ready to go on the 13th?

If you want to stay here on the 11th and 12th as well, together with Thufir if he's tagging along, I'll give you my spare keys as mentioned earlier and you can come and go as you will while I'm at work.

I'm thinkin' a jaunt around the British Museum would be a pretty awesome thing to do on the 12th. And that burger place again.
At the moment I'm in Hastings with Thufir, Grlump and FiftyEyedFred. When Grlump goes to France, Thufir and I will head Bathwards; somewhere around that time we might see Heliomance and/or Lesser_Minion, if they're up for it. Still working out where we'll stay over there: Bath or Pewsey. Turns out public transport around there really sucks...

I've been having a really good time. I'll post pictures up sometime soon - not today, got to pack for going over to Bath/Pewsey tomorrow. We actually said goodbye to Grlump and FiftyEyedFred just then. I'm gonna miss them so very much I shall be counting down the years months until I see them again!

Speaking of which, anyone in the vaguely Bathish region who wants to hang out at some point probably ought to speak up.
