Vasi slips back into the room carrying a baby sling backpacky thing that lets you carry an infant against your chest or back. "I just had this weird feeling you might want one of these, Kitty." Vasilisa says. "How are you feeling? Are you ready to give birth?"

"Hmm... oh well. It was an idea anyways." But learning how to drive takes time and energy and Kitty probably won't have either for the next year or two.

Reinholdt waves a little when Vasilisa comes in. They'd have been screaming about water breaking or something if she was ready, wouldn't they? Maybe this kid's different, so possibly not.

Kitty holds out her hands to take the baby carrier and take a look at it. "I think you're a mind reader or something, Vasi." Kitty says with a short giggle.

As for being ready to give birth? Ktty has no idea how you're ever supposed to be ready for that. Maybe that's just her, though. "Well, I guess I'm as ready as I'm ever going to be. It's not going to change any time soon." She also wonders why Vasi's asking. It's not like it's something you can put off. Oh well, she's probably just being considerate.

"Then let's have a baby," Vasilisa says.

The birthing curtain falls, and Vasilisa delivers Kitty's baby girl. Assuming the goddess-modding is allowed, it should be a smooth and easy delivery with only enough pain for her to be aware of what's happening, but not enough to cause screaming or swearing.

After the birth, Kitty lies tiredly with her newborn daughter in her arms. The child obviously draws from her mother. Her wispy hair is the same shade of orange-y red and she has the same freckles. Then of course the baby has a single fox tail at the base of her spine. The only apparent traits from her father, at this age, seem to be her pointed ears and her very dark, near black eyes, which are closed right now.

Kitty touches her daughter's face gently, smiling down at her all the while. The birth wasn't so bad at all, and look how adorable her little Annie is.

Reinholdt expected more water breaking and screaming and swearing and franticness. This was actually kinda tame. Huh.

Not that he watched most of the ickyness, preferring to peer insightfully at some random bauble or out a window during what parts he was able to get away with that. Or help by getting water or what have you when Vasilisa requested it.

Still over now, and the character can't help but get drawn into the wonder of the miracle of it all and watch with awe.

I think he's insane personally.

Every pregnant woman should get a mother goddess as her midwife!

"She's beautiful," Vasi says, and she puts a hand on Annie's head to try and sense what her needs will be now that she's not attached to her mommy.

Annie is feeling hungry, but not quite hungry enough to star crying about it yet. That could be headed off, though.

"She really is." Kitty agrees wholeheartedly. She looks up at Rein. "What do you think?"

[Reinholdt]

[Felina]

"She's..." Dang it, can't go with beautiful. Nor gorgeous, pretty, or any other synonyms. *peers at Vasilisa*

"Absolutely precious." Reinholdt decides on. "She has your smile." He'd probably be cooing over her himself if he didn't want to avoid crowding.

Felina

"She's about to be hungry," Vasi says. And the curtain will drop again for a lactation consultation, while Vasi's player wonders why the heck she ever thought that someone who is squicked out by this sort of stuff should have ever made a mother goddess.

Well then, Kitty gets some instruction on how to feed Annie. Soon enough the little girl is happily drinking. Hopefully that doesn't make Rein awkward. He's seen her breasts enough before, but not in this context.

"Precious. I like that. She's a cute little thing." Kitty says. She toys with Annie's hair a little. "You know, I wasn't sure that she'd have a tail. I did mention my mom was never like me, right?" She looks back up at Rein.

[Reinholdt]

[Felina]

"You did not." Reinholdt says, trying to find other things to look at, and expecting Kitty will elaborate on her own. Miracle of nature or not and history between homunculus Rein and Kitty aside, Rein's still in complete awkward mode right now.

Homunculus Rein. Right. *has a memory like a sieve sometimes*

Kitty notes his awkwardness. It's kind of funny, really. It's amazing how the presence of a baby changes the perception of boobs. "Yeah, apparently my father did, though. I never met him, but I did get my mom to talk about him a bit." She shrugs her shoulders. "I guess just one parent needs to be a kitsune? Seems like enough evidence for me. It'll be good for Annie that she doesn't need to figure out what she is all on her own."

Felina

Anyone doing that would be uncomfortable inducing, not just babies.

"Kitsune's the dominant gene, huh? Is being a kitsune all that different from the tail-less humanoids?

[Gullara]

[Felina]

"Kind of a lot different in a few different ways." Some of those ways Kitty's uncomfortable discussing. But not all of them. "Like this." With a gesture of her fingers, a white ball of flame appeared, suspended in mid air a short ways in front of Rein's face.
