"Wow." Syela looks around, taking everything in. She didn't really know what to expect, but this is pretty darn cool. "This is awesome. Everything you need to work is in here?" It's certainly a lot of stuff.

Dorota nods. Yes, it's all here. Everything I need to brew, mix, craft and conduct experiments.

"I guess it takes a long time to learn how to use all this?" Syela asks, rhetorically. There's no doubt in her mind that it's a lot to take in. "What're we going to use first for the chemistry stuff?"

[LadyOfWar]

A rather peculiar looking fellow enters the mall. His long hooded cape covers his figure from head to toe, leaving nothing for the eye to take in but black synthetic fabric. His enormous wings are the only exception. Sprouting from slits in the back of the cape the appendages reach above his head before bending at a sharp angle and sweeping down so that the final pinions brush the floor lightly behind him.

Once inside, and well away from the windows, he pushes back his hood, revealing a face that would be handsome, in a rugged and scruffy way, were it not so thin. He has several days growth of beard. His eyes are strangely dark.

He heads forth in search of a store dealing in cellular phone service.

"The worst the Baen're guy can do to me is turn his armies on my MagCave, or commit some awful deed in my name that upsets everyone. Even then, I've got you and the MaGLoG cameras and such as witnesses to my reluctance to have him under me, and the Cave security is more than enough to keep him from getting in."

Magtok shrugs, grabs an anti-pimple cream from one of the aisles, comes to a complete stop to peer at the thing, and then puts it right back where he found it before moving on again towards the front of the store..

"He's a zit, Missy. Poking him is just going to elevate the stakes, and trying to crush him between my fingers will make an ugly, icky mess everywhere. Best just to ignore it and wait for him to go away."

"Okay." Missy says, and looks a little self-conscious. "Sorry to drag you out of the casino like that. I guess I was over-reacting."

"I guess it takes a long time to learn how to use all this?" Syela asks, rhetorically. There's no doubt in her mind that it's a lot to take in. "What're we going to use first for the chemistry stuff?"

No, actually. All those things are relatively easy to use. During your first lesson, we'll just use the smallest burner. A lot of the lesson will be theoretical. Follow me.
Dorota will lead Syela futher into the lab and begin her lesson. It'll last a while, during which Dorota will try to introduce Syela into the basic chemical reactions that are needed for alchemy.

Syela is quite an eager student. She doesn't have a lot of education as a base, unfortunately, but she makes up for with a willingness to learn. Dorota will probably notice that she's a bit easily distracted.

The man with wings enters the store and makes his way to cell phones. He quickly finds a cheap handset, the traditional 'burner' phone: keypad for making calls and little else.

He heads for the counter.

Dorota doesn't really have much experience in teaching, but she'll try to guide Syela through her first lesson and captivate her attention.
When the lesson is over, she turns off the last burner and says to Syela: I think we've done some progress today. I hope we'll manage to finish teaching you the background quickly so we can move on to actual alchemy.

Eliza is there at the counter. She's a young woman in a dark red sweater, large thick glasses, and a nametag saying that her name is Eliza Hexadecimal.

"Hello! Did you have trouble finding anything?"

"None at all." the winged man replies with what he probably thinks is a charming smile. In reality it serves to show off his rather frightening long canines. Those along with his oddly thin appearance may give her the impression he's vampiric in nature.

He sets the phone on the counter. "I also need to purchase additional minutes for it." he informs her.

"Sure! I caaaa- eee Recalibrating Synthesizer- what was I saying? Oh, right. There are a number of plans you can buy for that phone, most of which are very cheap."

The plans themselves can be handwaved, suffice to say that for a phone like that they are affordable.

Hopefully Syela manages to retain all that. At least it'll be reinforced by the coming lessons. "Sounds good to me. I really enjoyed the lesson." She says. It's all really interesting.

Crissy, meanwhile, returns to the counter, where the blonde Valley Girl half-elf serves NPCs in between working at her Sudoku puzzle.

Silveri'tre enters the store. He heads to the desk, Excuse me?

A tall, regal-looking lady in her forties walks in, followed by a hunched, pallid ghoul clad in the remains of a silk dress, the reanimated skeleton of a human and a shambling zombie wearing a loincloth; it looks like the ghoul has been eating parts of the zombie on her way over. The lady walks towards the counter, her peculiar necromantic coterie following closely behind. The lady is wearing black robes, with a silver skull brooch pinned to her chest, a bandoleer containing a selection of bells wrapped across her torso and a belt containing six black pokeballs. "Excuse me. I would like some advice. I have a large number of undead, and I'd like the most modern weapons they are capable of using. I have brought several examples with me to try the weaponry with." She smiles, as the ghoul looks at Crissy hungrily (as in, 'I want to eat you', rather than any other type of hunger).

MagMart => Nowhere in Particular

Magtok blinks. Oops, accidentally made Missy feel stupid, did we?

"Well I needed an excuse to get out of there before he tried asking me for a private chat again anyways."

The cyborg shrugs, continuing out of the store. It occurs to him briefly that he has no idea where to go from here, but that doesn't stop him from forging ahead anyway. It never does, does it?

"Y'know, I have the weirdest feeling something is going to explode today, and I have no idea why. Not like, the angry-rant explode, but full-fledged detonations and fire and such."

The recalibration makes one of the man's dark eyebrows go up in a questioning way.

He opts to just buy more pay-as-you-go minutes instead of an actual monthly plan.

"I will take this." he indicates his choice, and waits for her to ring up his purchase. He looks slightly impatient.

"EEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEE HI!" Celena, what appears to be a perfectly normal little girl (pigtails and rosy red cheeks et all) has run up to Magtok and Missy from out of nowhere, giggle-screaming as she went.

"Whatcha doin?"

Crissy looks just a bit perturbed at the incoming brigdade, but gulps and smiles at the woman.
"Um, well, are they, like, capable enough to use firearms or are swords the extent of their capabilities?" she asks the woman a bit nervously.

Eliza gives the man the phone and the receipt, and turns her attention to the next customer. "Hello! How can I help you today?"

"Skeletons are adept at melee weaponry, yes. Zombies, not so much. Ghouls have their own melee weapons which can inflict larger wounds. I am unsure about their relative abilities with firearms." As the necromancer speaks, the ghoul grins, bearing sharp not-quite-human teeth and licking them with an elongated tongue. The zombie, meanwhile, drops a finger, and the skeleton merely stands there.

Eliza gives the man the phone and the receipt, and turns her attention to the next customer. "Hello! How can I help you today?"

Do you sell Jet engines or propelors?

Eliza will blink twice. "Are you referring to engines for full-sze planes? I'm afraid we do not have any of those. You will need to speak with an aeronautics company to get the parts in question."

Eliza seems... oddly befuddled by this man. He isn't asking that odd of things, is he?

Eliza is eying her phone. She is obviously not only uncomfortable, but seriously considering telling someone that there is a person asking for military hardware.

She's not sure who she would tell, but she kind of wants to tell someone.

Zith enters Mallside, and searches for Erin's Emporium. He finds it after a bit of looking and enters.

Zith looks around, marveling at the weapons. He searches for the shopkeeper, and mentally projects,"Hello, I need some assistance."
