Oh my, I'm just SO behind on posting. Didn't get much of anything done today and I have to work the whole day and evening tomorrow.

Let's see if I can get something up so that at least I'm not holding up this battle.

Lost track of maneuvers, damn. I think it's like this:
Last time I posted maneuvers was three rounds ago, Makul had four. Two rounds ago he had all of them. One round ago he gained three. This round he gains another. Here are the rolls:
    (1d5)[2]; (1d4)[2]; (1d3)[1];
    (1d2)[2];

    Quality writing right here.

So we have seven people in position for full attacks, all of whom have Haste and flanking.

I'm torn between Ray of Clumsiness and Grease.

    [RoC]
    Pro:
-Guaranteed minimum -4 DEX (equivalent to being prone), if the ray hits.
-Sets up the dragon for major debuffing from another spell next round.

    Con:
-The ray might miss. It would be almost guaranteed to hit if Rita didn't suffer a penalty for firing into melee.
-The dragon will be able to full attack on its next turn. One of us could die if we don't drop it.
-The odds of failure (on Rita's part) are greater for RoC than Grease.

    [Grease]
    Pro:
-If the dragon fails its save, not only is it prone and flat-footed all the melee get AoOs against it and it won't be able to full attack on its next turn.
-The odds of success (on Rita's part) are greater for Grease than for RoC.
-Even if the dragon makes its save this time, it'll have to save against Grease again in future rounds.

    Con:
-The dragon might make its save.

    Decisions, decisions...

Just go with either and we'll cross our fingers. The most important part is going first so that the rest of us will actually benefit from the effect of the spell. ;)

    Nice shot, Gabriel!

Hesitate is a great spell for boss encounters. The main issue is the dragon has only a 50% of attacking next round...

-4 to DEX is Half as much as prone (-4 to AC) vs melee and incredibly better than prone (+4 to AC) vs ranged

Also do not forget SR which ROC must overcome and Grease does not.

So if you go with Ray of Clumsiness Gabriel will wait for Rita, if you go for Grease - please post here so Gabriel can shoot before Rita.

    Also Huzzah!

Almost forgot - since one arrow misses (1d100)[64] on 50+ it is retrievable.

    Nice.

Hm, does no actions mean also no AOO? Nevermind, as long as Jasmine moves Gabriel can get to N15 without provoking AOO and keep the flank going. And at least for one turn his AC would be quite OK.

So far the highest value to miss was 25 and the lowest value to hit was 32. Pretty large range right there. The only attack from Dunlan with a chance to hit is the first one, at 29.

Edit: Just to confirm, Aria gets Rita's Haste since she was on the G row.

Well, damn. I edited in flanking but forgot to edit the rolls.

Mal - could you give us a heads-up if AC 29 hits (and if AC 26 hits as well)? If it does, I'll roll for damage here.

Edit: I guess that depends on the grease. Ah well, I'll wait for some feedback and then add more rolls/posts - whatever is needed.

Toliudar, FYI, Hesitate also has this part: "If you attack the affected creature, the spell ends immediately."

As Vertigo is a targeted spell with a harmful effect, IMO it constitutes an attack.

On having two identical effects: Multiple castings of, for instance, Ray of Enfeeblement overlap. But I'm not happy with people stacking charms / dominates on top of each other to make breaking through the effect nearly impossible. Hence, I'd rule this out.

Also, Hesitate does not limit the target from acting out of its turn.

    I've updated.

Last round, Ser Dunlan hit once for 18 pts., Makul hit twice (I've missed your damage rolls, though). Vertigo failed, Hesitate was canceled, due to Grease, the dragon is now prone. Jasmine is down.

Makul's next attack will be at +10 damage due to Aria's utterance.
