Let's Play Fallout: New Vegas (Diary of Elryia)

Welcome to my playthrough of New Vegas. I will be going through New Vegas, this time with a character who isn't exactly the cream of the crop. The nicest of fellows. To be blunt, she might be the one to kick you in the head.

I'm sure you've seen other playthroughs, and I see one already on GiTP. The other one I see however, is one of a goody-two-shoes wastelander, helping the weak.

There will be a story behind this character I am writing for. She will have a background before her incident with the 'man with the checked suit.' That, however, will be discovered along the journey. It would be far too boring if I told you right now.

I am playing with a 'few' modifications, to add to the flavor of the game. If you have any to suggest, you can do so by posting, obviously. The ones currently active are:

Without further ado, I will give you Episode 1.

EPISODE 1: Sunny Smiles Way Too Much

Day 1:

I remember only a few things from the days before the incident. I get an aching headache whenever I think about it. My name is Elryia. I was a courier for the Mojave Express. That's... everything.







The nice doctor here told me that I was shot in the head. Twice. By a man with a checkered suit. Some robot dug me out of what was going to be my grave. Fantastic...



He had me go through some tests, to make sure my head came out alright. I'd say he did a lousy job... all I have is a splitting headache.





After all of that, he gave me my old outfit, my courier papers, and something called a Pipboy 3000. Keeps track of my health, and even has this convenient journal feature.

He told me I should keep track of what I do, in case I get shot in the head again. Like that'll happen.



I wandered about the room I woke up in for a bit, and found a damaged gun. I had a familiar feeling when I picked it up, and it took just a few minutes of tinkering before I had it working again. As if I knew how to fix it...





I headed out into the storm to meet someone named Sunny Smiles. Ugh... what a fruity name. The Doc said she could re-teach me how to survive out in the desert. Since he figures I already knew, and my brain was just scrambled by the bullets. Fine, fine...



That's right. The dog better not bite, unless it wants a head full of bullets... that I don't have... because all I have is the gun... wonderful. I dropped the Doc's name, and she immediately offered to help me out. The Doc must have some kind of reputation around here.

She handed me a rifle of some kind, and looked surprised. I knew how to hold it, even aiming down the sights, without a word. She said that the body remembers what the mind forgets. Fine by me, guess it means I won't need much training.

I head up the hill with her to get some real practice. Something called Geckos. Aren't they small lizards?



I heard some screaming from further down the way, so I made my way up there without Sunny. I found three Geckos, large lizard things, around some woman from Goodsprings. I think.

I took aim down the sight at the Geckos, lining up a good shot, but my hands shook. My aim moved from the Geckos to the woman, and before I knew it...





I... shot her. The Geckos started trying to rip off pieces of her body, so I filled them with led too. Why did I aim at the woman... I don't get it...



I head back to Goodsprings. On the way, I come across some man wearing an NCR uniform. I felt a tinge of resent for him, but it faded. I don't know what it means, but he made me an offer.

Said that he wanted to take over this town. Can you even call it a town? It's more like a collection of buildings. More of a village.



He said there's a pretty penny in it if I help him take over the town. I need to take out some guy named Ringo, who's been hiding in the town, and then help with the militia.

These people haven't helped much in finding the man in the suit... and I'm sure the caps will help me on my way. So I agreed.



"A message from Mayor Cobb. Thanks for the free caps."





I shot him right between the eyes. He didn't even get a shot off. I... I didn't feel any remorse this time. At least, it wasn't as bad as before. Is it this easy to kill?



He had quite a bit of a stockpile up here. A few guns, some whiskey, food, and water. I'll live well tonight.

I stopped by the Doc's office and asked for some medical supplies. If I was going to be on the road for a while, I'd need some. He was... kind enough to relinquish some of his for the 'kind injured man on the highway.'



Well, if I want those caps, I'll have to take care of my part of the deal. Aside from Ringo, we have to deal with the militia. The rifles more fit for this than the 9 MM I've been carrying around.





They did most of the work, I only help with cover fire I guess. Was pretty easy.



Poor Sunny. She smiled 'till the day she... well, you know. I'm not being realsitic though... someone's missing. The shop owner agreed to supply the 'NCR' with equipment in exchange for being alive. But... the Doc!



The moment I opened his door, I heard him shouting "You're a Coward."

He had a laser pistol! Have I told you how much those burn? Well, if I didn't, I'm telling you now. They burn. ALOT.



But it was ironic... I thanked the Doc for patching me up. I told him that the NCR offered much more in the way of finding the man in the checkered suit. The caps I need, and a direction to go.

I took care of business with the Doc, and had myself a new Laser Pistol. Well... kind of new. It looked pretty beat up actually.



Heh... looks like the NCR is short some hands. He told me that not all of them would be as kind as him though, so watch out on the roads. They might shoot first, and ask questions later.

I usually don't play evil; my next playthrough will be more neutral (and my other favorite character; the energy weapon nut).

Anyway, I strongly recommend all the mods I have on my mod list.

Episode 2: The NCR? In a Correctional Facility? Blasphemy!

Wha... what is that? I can't... think.



It looks like me... but... why?

Day 2:

I woke up in Doc Mitchell's house... or what was his house. I figured I would rest before heading over to the prison. And leaving Goodsprings, of course.



I talked to the shopkeep and picked up a new modification for my shotgun. Will keep it in better condition, hopefully.



Time to say goodbye to Goodsprings. The prison should be south... according to the Pipboy.



I took Cobb's advice and donned one of the extra NCR outfits left after the fight. He said the residents would trust me a bit more.

Took some time to find the prison. By then it was starting to get dark.





I told 'im Cobb sent me, and they let me in, told me to talk to some guy named Eddie if I'm looking for some caps.



Meyers was a former Sherriff, locked up here because he took the law into his own hands. I think I might like this guy.



I told the nice gentleman that I'll work for caps and a place to sleep. I'm on my way to to Primm, since it's the only lead I have, but having some money in my pocket can't hurt.



He wanted me to take care of some stray crewmembers of his. They went off on their own. I'm sure I can 'talk' some sense into them.





He should've been... really.



One shot to the head and there wasn't much left of it.





Collected my caps, and he's already got another job for me. This is easy work... looks like these "Powder Gangers" don't have any spine to leave the prison and take care of their own problems.







I didn't kill him. I didn't have a reason. He was willing to walk away peacefully, so I let him.





Well, I'm heading to Primm anyway. I can check in on the NCR when I get here. But that's for tomorrow. Today was... eventful to say the least...

I take it the warpiness is from crossing the Magic Line?

As of currently, I don't intend to introduce anything magic-wise into the New Vegas playthrough.

It was much more simple than that. Dream Sequence. Figured it would semi-obvious with it happening before Day 2 thing. But I understand.

Episode 3:The Real New California Republic

I'm... floating? What?



Who are you? What are you... doing... to me?

Day 3

I headed towards Primm. Wasn't that long of a walk.





I let the nice man know that I can handle myself. I've dealt with convicts... just not the way he's thinking.

I head into the NCR camp first though, to try to weasel some information out of one of them about anything on the prison.





However... they were as tight-lipped as I expected. Maybe the townies know something...





First person I run into in the town pulled a gun on me... so I figured he wouldn't help. What do you know, I was right.





Well... looks like the locals did know a thing or two.



I knew I had a way with words... but he also said he worked at the Mojave Express... and dealt with MY package in particular.







So the deputy knows about my prey... it is time I pay him a visit...



Well this is the place. Lots of prison escapees in here... none of them working with the Powder Gangers at the prison.





They didn't waste anytime finding me. And I didn't waste anytime shooting them.



I moved stealthily around the next corner, after taking care of a few convicts and ran into their leader. He had one big...ass... gun...



Not that I had let him keep it. I shot it out of his hands the moment I saw it. (Right in the air, on the left side of the screen there. EPIC!)







This. This is mine now.



Hell. Yes.

I found the Deputy in the next room over, guarded by one of the convicts. I decided to test out my new baby.







I may have slightly scorched the poor deputy, but he seemed forgiving.



I let him out, and we started on our way out. I let myself explore a few of the rooms... what's this?



A safe? Hardly safe.



Almost perfect condition. My Lucky day.







Bingo my friend... just a bit of business to take care of at the prison and then to Nipton.

I went back to the prison to let Eddie know the news.



That it did... loud explosions, people screaming.



How kind. I think I'll stay to watch though...



I found a nice spot, high up on one of the towers, and watched the Powder Gangers take care of business.



The Powder Gangers were more tactical than I thought. Or they just got lucky...

So, if I got this straight, we have a homicidal amnesiac who has delusions of grandeur when she wields big weapons... I think she might be compensating for something though I'd rather not think about that.


That said: Was it really required to slaughter an entire town? I mean.. come on, powder gangers SUCK.

Aww well I shouldn't be surprised folks, this is the same guy who betrayed his entire party in his frist D&D game EVER and got most of them killed, not shocked he plays homicidal maniacs that make Glados look like a sweet innocent girl.

New Vegas Episode 4

Episode 4: The Road to Novac

Day 4



On the way out of Primm, I noticed another courier. He had a delivery note similar to mine, for fuzzy dice.



Either way, it was time I head for Novac... that bastard was going to pay...

I came upon a gas station, where some gang called the 'Vipers' has taken over. 'Had' taken over, I should say.



More equipment for my journey to New Vegas. I can't argue. I started up a hill after seeing two large 'statues.'





Yup, they're statues...



Sold some equipment at the NCR outpost here, and got my guns repaired. Didn't want to stay long though...



I'm heading through there anyway. Why not?

I came across two folks shooting at eachother near the burning town of Nipton.





He kept talking, and eventually went on his way. I found some Star Bottlecaps on the corpse of the lady he killed.



And Nipton is just full of fun surprises...







That's good to know...



Really?

I headed up into the town hall to see if I could get more of the story.





A string of corpses and wild dogs filled the building all the way to the third floor. Up to a console.









And a back room had quite a bit of supplies for the picking.

I headed back to the NCR Outpost to let them know the Legion's word, and the fall of Nipton. Maybe incite some panic.





Well, that went as well as I'm sure Mr. Vulpes wanted.





I made my exit to head towards Novac.



Very clever... wonder if it's the NCR, or the Legion's work...





And they said I'd know it when I saw the dinosaur... I didn't think they were serious though...

Episode 5: Great KHAAAAANNNNNN(s)!!!!

Day 5





I take a room in Novac. No one should bother me there...









Manny here wanted me to take care of some ghoulish problem... but... I figured I'd take a look around town first.

What's this? His apartment?



And a terminal left unguarded?



Finally! I know where those bastards will be! I will have my revenge...

Benny... that's his name...

I start heading towards Boulder City... this ends there...



And a crazy man started shouting at me on the way out... I ignored him. Nothing was going to stop me now...









More of this Viper gang... they didn't know what they were getting into.



But I got a new set of Leather Armor... reinforced too. This will make surviving a lot easier...







Son of a bitch... these bugs sting HARD. And they move FAST. I thought i was dead...





But I was almost there. So I didn't care. I kept walking... through the night. Benny would be dead by tomorrow...I swear...



I offered to help with their problem, and he let me in. I couldn't believe it...

It was too easy...



Two hostages in the side room...

Great Khans... some sort of gang. One of the biggest, they say. And I was about to **** with them...







You. Are. ****ing. Kidding. ME!



I killed him. I took everything he had. A lighter from Benny... I swear... I'm going to the strip...



The Great Khans swarmed around, after realizing I killed their leader. I put them down... hard and fast.



I didn't care about the hostages... I wanted this to be over... I. Want. Revenge.

I was going to one of the buildings in Boulder City to go to sleep... when...



That Robot showed up... he's following me... I swear...

I headed up the road... on the way to Vegas. I felt angry... and numb. An odd feeling...







Veronica of the Brotherhood of Steel. Never heard of them. Or at least, I don't remember them. She's got a mechanical gauntlet on her hand... and says she'll fight with me. She wants to see the world.

I won't argue... Even I have to admit... killing the chairman of a Casino in New Vegas won't be easy...

Episode 6: The Kings will be Kings

Day 6



Ugh... my aching head. We took a rest at the outpost, and I woke with a splitting headache... and my vision was a bit blurry.

But we need to get to Vegas...







My head just kept getting worse... all the day...



We found a clinic... I was just hoping to get some pain meds...





This Doctor Usanagi. She examined me and came to a conclusion. My eyes were artificial. Synthetic. And they were deteriorating.



I remembered something... a long time ago. My eyes burned... someone was doing something to them.

She said she had an implant that could stabilize them. They were an amazing creation... had they been working properly, I'd have 20/20 vision. Perhaps even better.

I agreed... it cost me 4,000 caps though. Nearly every cap I had... but it was worth it.

Day 7



I headed into Freeside, now free from all the headaches and blurriness. Some guy offered his services as a bodyguard, but I can take care of myself.





The streets of Freeside aren't safe... but it just means more caps for me.

With Veronica's mechanized hand, I barely had to shoot any of them.







Fantastic.



I didn't have two-thousand caps, or a passport. And I didn't want to risk going in shooting.



Especially after that... I'm not stupid.



The 'Kings' seem like the toughest gang in Freeside. I thought maybe they could give me a hand in getting into the strip. Or at least get me the 2,000 Caps I needed.







The King himself has quite a bit of clout. And plenty of jobs he needs doing.



Tedious, but I have to earn some respect before I can ask for favors. And this man commands some respect...





Nothing out of the ordinary... what was this?



Three shots... yet four men dropped...



And they're not dead... that snarky little...

The King said he'll be pulling Orris off the streets for this... good. And he has a new job for me. I like this guy.









Sounds like NCR to me...





I'm getting caps, and trust. And I like both.







Secret operation under the King's nose to feed NCR Citizens only... who would have guessed?

The King had her people beaten, though?







I head on over to try to diffuse the situation for the King. Even if I think teh NCR might deserve it.





Sounds like Pacer's got something to hide... the King will be happy to know it.

I let him know that I'm interested in the Strip, and he sets me up. I'll have to remember the King... he has connections.

Episode 7: Benny

Day 7, Continued



I bought a silenced pistol and started towards the Tops when Victor stopped me. Said his boss had some words to speak.



I'm in no mood to get jerked around, but I didn't turn down the offer. He was, to be the recipient of my package.







He wanted his Platinum Chip, and since I was going after Benny anyway, he wanted me to get it.



To insure my cooperation, he gave me free reign of the Presidential Suite, as well as some new tech. Power Armor, and...



A new device to replace my Pipboy.





The armor fit perfectly, and feels sturdy. If Benny thinks he stands a chance...







The Tops. At last.







There he was...









I can't agree more. Afterall, with his guards here, even I think it would be hard. With a silenced pistol.









He wanted the Chairmen to be in charge of New Vegas. Not Mr. House. Not the NCR. And not the Legion.

I personally want him dead, but if I can get a slice of the pie while it's being served, I can always kill him later.





I agree to work with him. I get some caps now, and when the Chairmen rule, I get a slice of New Vegas. And if he backstabs me... I'll make him wish he was dead...



Not 15 seconds after he left, his bodyguards come charging in, guns-blazing. That JACKASS!

I'm glad I looted his safe, or I'd have had no weapons...





I take the keys leave. Benny is gone. As in, gone gone. Nobody in the Casino knows where he went. So I went to his room upstairs... and found a hidden Securitron.





And I promptly blew it up. He backstabbed me. I'm going to make sure his things don't work well anymore.





No hints as to where he went... I left.







Bingo... looks like he won't escape me afterall. I won't make the same mistake again...

Episode 8: Benny, Part 2

Day 8

I took a stop at the Lucky 38 Casino to rest up before heading south, to Cottonwood Cove. Benny...





I spoke with the old lady here on the way. She mentioned Helios One being a power base for this Brotherhood of Steel, but the NCR took over. I made a mental note to stop by...





I continued south, past a toxic dump site. My Readius was going berserk with the radiation detection.







A legion base. Veronica mentioned something about oppressive slavers, but I wasn't really paying attention.





Apparently the NCR avoids open conflict as much as possible. Bunch of cowards if you ask me.



I finally found my way to the boat. A couple of hours later...







Physically inferior my ass. I could shoot your head six times before you could draw your fancy spear...





Seems like they all think women are inferior... just wait... heh...







The great Caesar... well... I hope it was worth it...











Caesar wants Mr. House dead. And he wants me to destroy whatever's in this Lucky 38 bunker. He's got Benny under guard... if I do as he says, I get to decide how Benny dies...



Surprise. Benny doesn't want me to destroy it. **** him. **** this. I'm going down there, and I'm blowing it up. And then I'm killing this man.













That's what he thought... I was his little pawn...





That place was well defended... lots of robots... not enough...



And my new gun... melts things into green goo. Hell. Yes.





That is the end of the upgraded Securitrons House was hoping for...

I will see how face when I kill him...just like he saw mine when he thought he killed me...







Yes. God yes, that was satisfying. I felt so... invigorated...





A long day... a long... satisfying day...

Episode 9: Mr. House's House

Day 9

I headed north, to take a look around Helios One. The old lady mentioned some kind of super weapon the BoS was holding there before they left...







They'll believe anything... no wonder I thought the NCR was weak...



He wants the power plant turned back on, and its power diverted to New Vegas and Camp McCarren. Funny... but I don't think so.



But it looks like I might be in luck with the weapon...







I reset the mainframe at two separate computers, and head in to access to primary computer...







The generator's fried... but I had a Mr. Handy fix it for me.







Bingo... Archimedes II. Hope it works..



I sure hope everyone's inside...



Here comes the discharge... I head inside to avoid any unwanted exposure, of course. You understand.





But they aren't too happy with me...



Nothing left of the NCR that were outside. Not event dust...

I headed back to New Vegas to finish off my day...





Strolled right into the Lucky 38. Time to activate the Stealthboy I've been saving for this... Mr. House. Your time has come.















Goodbye Mr. House





I head back to report my success to Caesar. And hopefully turn in for the night. What a successful day...

Episode 7: Benny

I know it's cliche, but I apologize for not posting for a while. Been busy looking for employment.

Episode 10: Smoker! Hunter! BOOMER!

Day 10

I headed out of New Vegas. Time to go to Nellis Airforce Base... but before that... I'd like to test something.





The little "toy gun" that I got from the kid seemed to light up after arming the Archimedes II, so I decided to test it... with amazing results.

I started my trek towards Nellis... it would be a long... long walk. I decided to have Veronica stay behind on this one.





Won't **** with them if they don't **** with me... this time...



As I approached, I could hear the explosions in the distance. A man ran up to me as I neared the open field.





He made me a bet, 200 Caps if I can get to the base without being blown to pieces by Boomer fire.



I started my run, from building to building, taking cover, with artilery-fire all around.



Soon enough though, I made it to the gate, and they couldn't fire anymore.







And so I was taken to their leader.





The Boomers used to live in a Vault, but moved to Nellis Air Force base after leaving, and use their artilery to keep outsiders away. Fun...

Their leader wants me to help her people to get her trust. It is Caesar's orders, so I'll do it... but I swear, it best not be babysitting, or anything of that sort...





Giant Ants and turning on Power Generators. With their kind of firepower, why haven't they done this?



Loyal had some kind of device that could kill the ants in one fell swoop... IF I can place it at their mound.





I turned it on, and didn't hear anything for a few seconds. Then several thuds around the generator room, as the ants started dropping like flies. Damn...

I reset the generators, and went back to Raquel. That was easy... why didn't they just do that?







I headed over to the Doc next... I wanted this over as fast as possible.









Just giving me more reasons to kill you, aren't you, Doc?



The parts from Hellios One's generators could do the trick, so I have to head there to get them. This is just busy work... seriously..

And WHO THE HELL do I run into when I get there? The NCR! Out for blood, after I killed their men here. Talk about bad luck! I thought the Legion had this place under control.









I scavenge the parts after taking out the NCR troops, and head back to Nellis. I'd have brought Veronica with me if I had expected resistance like that...



You just want to die, don't you?

They have a final mission before they pledge loyalty to me. They want to raise a bomber... some kind of flying machine, from the bottom of the lake.



His friend sets me up with a "rebreather." Appearently I'll be able to breathe under water.







I attach two devices to its wings, and get a good distance away...



Damn! It raised to the surface... just like that!



She pledged her loyalty to my cause, and the Boomers will help me. Good.



I return to Caesar.







Caesar bursts out, holding his head. His guards rush to him, but he tells them to go away. Something's wrong...



His headaches are getting worse than before.

Episode 11: Human Flesh on the Menu? No Thanks

Day 11:

I headed off to find this "White Glove Society." Supposedly they used to be cannibals, but now they're sophisticated.







Seems to be standard procedure in all casinos, and even some non-casinos. Can't have my boomstick.



Fancy place though, kept in good repair compared to most of this place.





Well, looks like this bitch needs to learn a thing or two, but Veronica calms me down. Maybe there's another way?



Mortimer, another one of the higher ups here seems more receptive.



Blech. While I don't like the idea of eating other people, it's Caesar's request. And I guess I'll deal with tolerating it. If I don't like it after Hoover Dam is over, I'll just off this group of people myself.

I head down to the basement to talk to the boy they already have, and convince him that it's all "a misunderstanding."



Looks like not everyone's in the loop though.





We have a few words, I show my hidden sidearm, and he seems to be enlightened. He'll leave without a word about all of this.

I head north of the strip to find another 'meal,' shuddering on the inside at the idea.







He can't seem to control his libido as he hops into the dumpster like there's thousands of caps inside.





Just... wonderful. I almost gagged while talking to him, but I don't think he noticed.

I waited several hours, and people filtered out of the dining hall, chipper as can be. I approached Mortimer, to see how it went.





I went back to speak to Marjore about it one last time, hoping to sway her opinion, and what do you know?



I head back to Caesar to give him the news, but I see him holding his head.

And he's had them before.





I leave him be for now, and head to Hidden Valley. He should be okay until I come back...



A group of 6 or 7 NCR come out of the thicket on the way there, all armed to the teeth. Yeesh.





Can't wait 'till our next meeting, bitch.





I enter the 'hidden' base, and find it to be quite the Brotherhood compound. Maybe I'll stick around and learn who these people are... Veronica never did talk about them much...

Episode 12: Veronica gets the Stage!

Day 12



Taking all my equipment, not a surprise you'd consider it 'a risk.'



Mmm... I wonder if he has the pay.

Hey, WHAT THE HELL!?



If I leave Hidden Valley, my head explodes. And I have to 'take care' of some NCR Ranger who's outposted here.

Joy.



Found you.





It didn't take long, he wasn't exactly hidden. Or well equipped.







Because, he was sent to the middle of a perpetual sandstorm for a reason!



He removed the explosive collar. Well, that's good. Doesn't mean I'll trust him.



Alright, I'm allowed to explore the base. Fools.

After exploring the base thoroughly, I determine I'm going to need to deck myself out to win this fight. I head some drunk at an NCR Outpost a while back mentioning Crimson Caravans having a good stock, so I'll head there.





Woah, WOAH! What the hell!?

I practically had to kill the entire Caravan station. They did corner me in the restroom though... took forever to fight my way out.

I decide to head elsewhere to equip myself, before heading back to the bunker.

Wait... Veronica said she wanted to talk to the old man running the Brotherhood. I guess I'll let her, before I blow the place to ****.



That man is stubborn. On levels.





Piss off.

We get to Veronica's special terminal, and find the data on something... quite special.



Sounds like it's quite effective against our power armored friends... just what I'm looking for...

We head to Nellis, which is where it was supposedly stored, and find a note.



A Vault. Fantastic...





After some cave-searching, we eventually find the Vault, open, and full of Ghouls.

The Armory should be on the fourth floor, or so said the note.



****.

After wading through several packs of Ghoulies, Veronica gets a better set of armor than her robes.









Looks like the Vault "Overseer" got ghoulified too. Wouldn't want to go through that myself...

Though I have been feeling sick ever since I've been in here..



We get to the armory... and holy ****... there are guns EVERYWHERE in here.



Bingo.



Veronica and I grab as many guns as we can, and manage to get ourselves back to the Brotherhood Bunker... where I have the scribe help me purge the radiation.

Hell, I feel a lot better after that.







She tells him that they'll die if they stay down here... making no connections...







It'd be better if she left the Brotherhood. Before I kill them all, anyway.





Geez... they won't leave us alone for a second. No wonder the NCR doesn't like them... no wonder Caesar doesn't like them...

Veronica wants to join the Followers of the Apocolypse. Not a fan myself, but if she wants to help people like that, whatever.



We find their camp, but the 'recruiter' won't be back until tomorrow. We make camp a few yards away and rest.



We come back to a... not so pleasant sight. For Veronica anyway...



She hadn't said a word, and yet they assumed. Sons o' bitches!





A test run for the Pulse Gun... just what I needed.

Episode 13: The Brotherhood of Steel, Mojave Chapter

Day 13



A restful sleep back at the Lucky 38 before I begin my day. It will be a tough one, I wager.

I ask Veronica to wait here, at the Lucky 38, while I take care of some business.





I find my way through the bunker, and to the self destruct console.



It looks like I have to get three keycards. The hard way.



I found the first mark. Head Scribe.

One sound shot later...



Unfortunately, that shot alerted the rest of the bunker, somehow. Do they have cameras?







They started filtering in, one after another. When I heard the paladins coming, I took out my secret weapon. The Pulse Gun.





It didn't take long, and I had all three keycards. Nice people, but far too close-minded to actually succeed as an organization.





I made my way to the surface, not wanting to get caught in the resulting explosion, but there were several "do-gooders" who wanted me to die with them.





I did make it out though. And I felt the explosion that shook the very earth a moment later.

I guess that's mission co--



They didn't all die. Clever little group, aren't they?





Six! Six Paladins managed to make it outside and tried to kill me. Needless to say, they didn't last against the Pulse Gun, though.

I headed back to The Fort to report to Caesar.













Finally. He saw the light. Now..







Well, I need surgical tools... the only person that would have those specific kind would be... Doctor Usanagi.



Highway Robbery! Christ almighty!

I return to Caesar's fort with the tools, and an empty wallet. Remind to go back for my caps later.



And I suppose not a moment too soon...

I approach Caesar's form on the bed and examine him.



It would be easy. To kill him here, and claim complications.

No. He is a genius amongst leaders. Killing him now would only place someone less qualified at the top. Legate Lanius. A Warrior, maybe, but no tactician.



I perform the long operation, and several hours later, Caesar comes to.





He asks that I be the one to assassinate the president of the NCR. He is to show up at Hoover damn within a week.

I accept, if only to see the faces of those involved when I do it.



It all makes sense, everything is coming into place to take over Hoover Dam, and New Vegas, at the end of the day.

I started making preparations to head out. I've got a week before the president is in town... I'll have to figure out something.



Looks like there's a new station on the air today. Hiring... bodyguards for a caravan going to Zion. Hmm... it could help with the caps.



I follow the instructions to find this "caravan."



(AUTHOR NOTE: Picked up Honest Hearts last week for $3 on Steam... hell yes!)




Oh... looks like he mig--



Oh.. good. I don't have to kill him. Yet.



Alright, sounds like a fair deal to me. Kill some wild animals... earn some caps.

Ooh... now that's interesting. I've heard plenty about him at the Legion camp...

I figure I should familiarize myself with those I'm working with. Make sure I don't have to kill them right now.



Ooh... my first mark.

He makes some lewd comments about his "rifle" that I really don't care to mention.



Heh... but he's "so important" to the caravan because of his Pipboy, which is also very broken. I can't believe the head-man over there didn't notice the crack across the screen.





I let the boss know we're ready to head out... and it's time for the trip.





He told us a story along the way... sounds interesting. Good bit of knowledge to learn, since Caesar has banned talking about Mr. Joshua Grahams.



Bah... bunch of wusses, this group is. Least they can shoot worth a damn.

Before I knew it, we were under attack... I thought we were supposed to be dealing with wildlife... not people with guns, damnit!







Fan-****in'-tastic. I loot the caps off the old man's corpse. I still have 6 days before the president arrives... and I want to know more about the Burning Man. I think I'll pay a visit to Zion.

I take out the rest of the assault group... they're like... tribes. Actual tribes... from old times.









Bingo... this was easy...







Geckos out here are just as big as back home.







Interesting place they have... even plants are growing out here...

AUTHOR NOTE: I gotta apologize for the delay folks. The update for New Vegas destroyed most of my mods, and I had to wait for the updates to those mods to come out. And even so, I still couldn't get the Readius to work, so it's back to the Pip-Boy, sadly. But I finally do have the next update.. not my best work, I think, but it should function.

He told me... the gist of it is, he and this "Daniel" fellow want out of Zion. They want to evacuate. And since I can't get back to the Mojave without some direction, I have to help.

He's probably right though. Maybe I'll kill him later, just for fun.

I head off with Follows-Chalk, my new minion, to start the search for his tools. The first of which is a Compass.





Bingo... I find plenty of tools amongst this crashed vehicle...



A damaged compass, which I take back to the camp. A little bit of fiddling, and it was good as new.

The next task was Walkie-Talkies apperently.




Still, this place is about as boring as the Mojave. At least I know who is friend, and who wants to kill me here, though.





I found a rather large bridge, and a Yaou Guai. Vicious monsters, aren't they? But a shotgun kills them all the same.





Yeesh, looks like they made a nest here...

Not that I feel threatened in the least...



Right in the locked cabinet... key was on the table... yeesh, Joshua. You couldn't just take the time to get these yourself?



A building over, I managed to find the medical supplies that was needed as well. Very... convenient if you ask me.




A bit of a journey followed into the valley, and I found this 'Daniel' fellow. Sleeping. Soundly. Lazy @*!&.



I honestly don't care anymore.





Yeah yeah... I'm sure you appreciate it... but you're sending me on more errands, I'm sure. It's NEVER this easy..




Least you're supplying me, unlike the "Burned Man."



Aww... I'm "so sad" to see you go...

Episode 16: Errand Girl

I agreed to about sixty different errands for Daniel, to get out of this forsaken place... but I decided to take a detour before starting them.




Why the @*!& not? I'm the most badass person here. If it's poison, I've got antitoxin. I took the cup, and drank it... and oh boy...



Oh god... everything... is blue. EVERYTHING is BLUE!!!



Daniel's flunkie is supposed to guide me through these errands... I'm feeling a bit... out of it, so I don't really care.




He told me... while I was doing the rest of the errands, to keep an eye out for some "ghost Yaou Guai. Right...




I started taking care of the errands. Killing the Yaui Guai, and the White Legs. Appearently they would stop our escape.



Holy #*@&, That's a Yaou Guai on fire. Holy ****! OH MY GOD IT HURT SO MUCH!



But I killed it... took it's paw as my souvenir.





I'm thinking it's NOT a coincidence that that weird vision-tea wore off the moment I got the claw back to the shaman...



I can't argue with my new, shiny claw, though.

I headed off to finish the errands. There wasn't much left to do, though.





Big, scary, "sacred" cave had the map in it. Waking Clouds, or whoever she is, didn't want me going inside though.

Next was taking down some war camps.






Really, these people aren't even trying. Tribals... what do you expect?



Really? TRAPS!? Your tribals are too stupid to disarm TRAPS!? God... should I work for the White Legs instead?





I took out ALL of the traps, and the people setting them... seriously, it wasn't that hard. It was... primitive, at best.





So... my final decision. I'm not quite sure... if I want to let the White Legs live after screwing me out of my pay.

Not sure if I really want to let the Burning Man live either though...



I'll think about it.

I want to get out of this god-forsaken place, and back to the Mojave...

Joshua showed me a few tricks with the repeating .45, and we headed off to take care of the White Legs.






Even took in some of the sights. It is a beautiful place, once you get passed the murderous tribals.







Right. We'll do it your way.





Shotgun. Meet face. Face. Meet Shotgun.




I was supposed to be helping someone? I just killed all the White Legs I saw... may have missed a few though.




I set the explosion off, sealing the tunnel. Meh... they can get away for all they want. Cowards.





Hrmph. Serves them right. We don't need weaklings in the Legion.






And finally... I'm free of this Zion place. Back to the Mojave.







And it looks like they left me a gift to remember them all by. Heh...

Episode 18: Brainless, Spineless and Heartless

That was a short journey, all things considered. But I still have a lot of time before Kimball shows up in town... and needs assassinating.

I decide to head back out into the Mojave, to see what I can't find.



I heard another strange radio signal... this one just sending out music... as well as some sort of strange... high pitched noise.



It led me to a drive-in theatre... or... what looks like it USED to be one.




Strange device... looks like some sort of... sattelite from the old world.

I poked a prodded it a little.



Gah... an eye!?




I felt myself get woozy... and I think I passed out. Not another... stupid trap...





Huh? What's that... voice?





Ugh... my head... my body...




Somebody... cut me open... my armor is gone. And... where the **** am I?



I examined my surroundings, and found a chest, containing my armor and my shotgun. Good. At least I'm not unprotected...





Where am I? This... place is weird. Advanced... unusual.

I've enjoyed the story so much that I've decided to give (another) replay to New Vegas!

After I finish up Deus Ex though...

And of course Skyrim will make me a recluse for at least three-six months.
But something needs to fill up these two months!
