Re: New Cannes (IC)
Harry smiles grimly. "I'm a loud, DANGEROUS decoy. Warden, your first priority is the SAFETY of the prisoners. Come and look for me if and only if they are in no other danger, and you can get them to stay somewhere safe."

Re: New Cannes (IC)
Grim nodded in appreciation. "Lead the way, Foxy and Hound." Seein the way Brando looked at him, he raised his hands in mock protest. "I know, I know, you're a cat. But it ruins the movie play on words. How about ... 'lead on Maxim and Cat Fancy?'

Re: New Cannes (IC)
Brando doesn't bother with Grim for now. He keeps his ears moving from place to place, listening to all noises
Laughing at Grim's jokes would help ease the tension but he really needed to be as alert as possible. In most situations of danger, he'd have made jokes too
But cannibalistic ghouls simply seemed awfully humor-killing

Re: New Cannes (IC)
Warden Dresden moves off, whistling and seemingly non-chalant. Then about a minute later, you all hear a great, big, <THOOOOM> and also the sound of a door being blown off its hinges. It's show time! The other warehouse's door is closed, but someone strong can probably take it down.

Re: New Cannes (IC)
Cocking his head to the side, Grim grinned. "Sounds like they're playing our song ... shall we?" He's ready to keep moving, staying close to Amber as long as she maintains the veil. He keeps sweeping the area, searching for signs of guards or lookouts ...

(Ooh ****, I was out for a quick trip, didn't notice this X_X)
The liger, without much hesitation, takes a bit of speed and yet again, puts a door down
SpoilerMight right?
That's Good Might (+3), and we thrown in a +2 for Hulking Size, and since it's breaking, a +3 from Inhuman Strength in good measure =D Total: +8

Re: New Cannes (IC)
The door is sturdy...but not THIS sturdy. Even a bank's vault door would have trouble resisting this, and this is nowhere as strong. So, "CRAAAAAACK" goes the *heavy* wooden door as it literally SPLINTERS into a hundred hundred pieces. If this were a Matrix style movie, this scene would be in slow-motion. Inside, Brando sees a few humans who are bound in heavy chains and gagged, and a few ghouls scattered around.

Re: New Cannes (IC)
Following closely on Brando's heels, er paws, Grim steps up with his pistol drawn. "This is the fashion police! You are all under arrest for crimes against the social elite!"
Grinning, he fired at the closest ghoul.

Re: New Cannes (IC)
"Take out any oppostiion quickly" The Warden's words ring in his head. Quickly. He singles out the ghoul that is the farthest away from all else, and charges, leaps at and mauls the ghoul!
SpoilerI think I'm the one with the highest Awareness at Superb
So, attacking a ghoul with Fists
(4d3-3)[6]Superb (+5) Fists
I do an extra 3 stress with every hit due to Claws and Inhuman Strength

Re: New Cannes (IC)
Amber pointed her finger at another ghoul with her normal finger-gun and spoke, "Souffle de l'esprit" She said as she fired the burst of power.
SpoilerSouffle de l'esprit
At the point of her finger a blast of powerful dense and focused spiritual energy fires from Amber. Souffle de l'esprit is Amber's preferred method of attack due to the fine control she has over it. It causes minimal exhaustion and is easy to pull off due to practice.
Type: Spirit Evocation, Offensive Attack
Power: 7 shifts
Control: Auto-succeed with focus item. Unusable without glove.
Target: One target within line of sight
Duration: One action
Opposed by: Target's Athletics or magical block
Rote spell, no roll
Mental: 3/4

Spoilermust still roll to aim the spell so the target has something to roll *against*. No chance of backlash or fallout however.
In case of tied awareness, roll 1d6. Highest one goes first

SpoilerThis is PbP, just let whoever posted first go first unless it's the DM I guess. Also, it was kinda fun that me and Grim got our posts almost at the same time, I started writing mine a minute befor he posted his, but it took some time to check my damage XD

Re: New Cannes (IC)
With the surprise attack, Amber is actually able to take out one of the smaller ghouls, bisecting it completely! The doc's fangs and claws literally tear anotehr ghoul a NEW ONE! That is, a new hole in its chest, and piossible one of its lungs. It is heavily wounded, but alive. And for the finale...Grim misses.
With a screech, the two ghouls that haven't been bisected, head STRIAGHT for the hostages! Having run so quickly, the ghouls were less accurate than normal, and the adrenaline of the hostages helped fuel their defenses, uses the heavy chains to block attacks! Still, they can't be lucky for long, and you don't know when reinforcements will arrive. Take them out quickly!
SpoilerGhouls are now one zone away, with the hostages.

Re: New Cannes (IC)
Without any apparent effort, Grim practically appeared to the side of the ghouls, weapon raised again. "Bad Mongo! Bad! Didn't you hear me say you were under arrest? Let's try that in a different language. BANG BANG!" Grim fired again, trying to hit the ghoul who looked the closest to eating someone.
SpoilerWell, thank goodness I'm the most worthless character here, both in AND out of combat! Here's to more validation: Guns (+4) (4d3-4)[3]

Re: New Cannes (IC)
Leaving the one he already wounded fallen where it was, Brando runs towards one of the ghouls that are going to the hostages. Protecting them was more important, seeing Grim had already chosen his target, he lunges at the other one
SpoilerClearly you gotta stop using weapons with iron in then. It's hurting your fae accuracy
(4d3-3)[9] Superb Fists (+5)
Cause I'm a animal machine of death

Re: New Cannes (IC)
Amber frowns. She hadn't wanted to fire another spell and drain herself more in case she was needed, but the ghouls had to be dropped. At least the doctor was tearing people apart.

Same route spell, 2/4 mental stress

Dodge rolls for the 2 ghouls (4 Athletics):
Spoiler
VS Brando (4d3-4)[5]
VS Amber (4d3-4)[4]
Brando's absolutely ANIMAL savagery in this attack literally RIPS one ghoul's head from its shoulders and sends it into the other ghoul, almost knockin the second one over. The good doctor has just invented ghoul-bowling!
Amber's attack severs an arm.

Re: New Cannes (IC)
The ghoul that got its arm chopped off decides to attack the good doctor, since Amber and Grim are both attacking from range. It bites at the were-liger ferociously!
SpoilerGhoul attacks Brando using Fists (+4)
against Brando's Fists or Weapons or Athletics
(4d3-4)[6]
Ghoul's weapon is a rating 4, so it deals 4 extra damage on hit.

Re: New Cannes (IC)
The attack coming towards him, Brando throws his heavy paws at the things arms. If he was fast enough maybe he could actually wound the thing
If he wasn't, he would start hoping Amber's antitidote worked
SpoilerMy Fists(+5) are better.
Oh, he gets a +1 to hit me

Re: New Cannes (IC)
SpoilerYes, it's part of the reason why I make everything fragile XD
On the other side, it adds +2 to my stress box, along with +2 from Inhuman Toughness, and my normal 4, it puts me at 8 stress. I also got Armor 1
Either way, I need to take a mild consequence >.<
9 Stress -1 from Armor, -2 from my consequence, right?
I'll take "Limping" and mark my 6th stress box
Phys. Stress [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][X][ ][ ] (+1 Mild Consequence "Limping")
