Major, I am offering you a shiny Fate Point to actively compel your aspect and to have you go even FURTHER. If Amber is willing to use her most effective attack magic to disintegrate or decapitate the vampire RIGHT NOW, before the rest of her party or Warden Dresden has a chance to show up and possibly object, she gets a FP at the beginning of the next adventure (which is coming up very soon as this end is pretty much over), and I'll even waive the mental stress cost of this spell.

A fate point to kill someone that the only reason I didn't kill was because of the mental stress? Even if I was able to resist by spending a fate point I wouldn't. I accept!

"Seems I missed the important part..." Amber said annoyed as the vampire kept running his mouth. She tried to lift her right hand and couldn't. Instead, she lifted her left hand and despite her lack of a focus item drew on her magic to fire a blast of spirit energy to blast the vampire's head clean off.

In a poor showing of control, Amber actually MISSES the decapitation, and instead only cuts off a HAND, which only makes the WC vamp SCREAM some more in pain. What an annoying noise!

Does Amber wish to try again? Her RAGE currently fuels her magic. She'll be sleeping a lot tonight.

The vampire's head is cleanly cut and it FLIES to the other side of the room, like it was punted! It happens to land in a waste basket. Is this a hole in one or a 3-pt shot?

Meanwhile, some of the captives seem like they're trying to speak. "H...help...us...they...make...us...hungry...t empt us...with...raw meat...we don't want...turn into them..." They're barely holding it together. Now you can guess why they're being held in a meat cold warehouse.

Meanwhile Harry is still fighting...by himself...in the other warehouse...buying you guys time.

Grim watched the head hit the trash can and opened his mouth to make a quip, then promptly closed it. Muttering "Too easy," he walked over to search the body. "It also left a man's decapitated body lying on the floor next to his own severed head. A head that at this time has no name.

    I know his name ..."
The halfbreed begins humming Queen's Gimme the Prize as he rifled the vampire's pockets, searching for anything resembling a serum or antidote.

At the continuing thooms, he glanced back at the other two. "Um ... how good is Dresden? Cuz he sounds like he's playing Modern Warfare on Elite, right now ..."

Okay, while I am a huge fan of Chicago's most famous wizard, Grim has ZERO interest in risking his arse for some dude he doesn't even know. However, given the amount of power that guy is throwing around, he wouldn't have a problem tipping the scales in Harry's favor without actually risking himself ... having powerful friends can't hurt, right?

So I'm good with either direction

"He's a Warden Commander. He's even stronger then me, he'll be fine." Amber says tiredly. "If you find something I'll use my sight to try and examine it, if not then it gets tougher. I won't be able to kill them to stop the plague due to the laws of magic."

Brando supposes he isn't going to do a lot of searching in this form, so he runs towards the explosions

That seemed like a really bad idea in hindsight

Grim does not manage to find any serums. He DOES manage to find a few items that he thinks may be smoke bombs. In fact it was what was dropped onto the ground when he was first disarmed. There's also a desert eagle pistol and a few spare magazines of ammunition.

Brando runs outside, just in time to hear and *see* another THOOOOM as a hole is created in a wall and Harry runs through the hole and out of the building...which is now on fire.

Grim shook his head, being very careful not to touch any of the metal objects he had found on the remains of the vampires. It was somewhat disconcerting to be searching two halves of a headless body, but that was life with a Warden.

Leaning back on his haunches, he glanced over at Amber and shook his head. "No dice. No serum either." Then Brando suddenly ran outside, chasing another explosion from the other warehouse. "Okaaaaay. I did NOT see that coming. What do you want to do?"

Picking up sliced portion of the vampire's clothing, he gingerly picked up the desert eagle, holding it by his finger and thumb as he glanced back at Amber.

Well, Grim has no compunctions about ending a ghoul-plague in his home city ... he just needs Amber to indicate that she doesn't have any ideas and to go out and ask Dresden for his opinion ...

Finally, after much groping of the corpse, a bloody key is found. Outside, Warden Dresden is shooting at the ghouls that are trying to exit the burning building via the hole, trying to keep them in until the building collapses.

Sighing, Grim used the ripped cloth to remove the keys and unlock the chains ... carefully. If any of the pseudo-straights start getting 'bitey' he'll discourage them with a gunshot wound to the kneecap.

If that didn't work, he'd have to get creative.

Brando almost shoots a disappointing look at Dresden, for destroying the whole building, but them he sees the ghouls and stands to his side. In the interval between the shooting he looks at the ghouls. Bad idea to go near them as the building was going to collapse. So he does the only logical thing

And unleashes a mighty, scary roar that totally draws attention! While opening his jaws and slamming his paw in a type of step ahead, he tries to scare the ghouls!

    Show me...do ghouls experience fear?

Okay this is such an horrid idea but, if it works...no one is going to argue with results!
So, Hulking Size gives me a +2 to Intimidation checks against anyone who thinks my size could be an advantage! Yay! Now let's hope for another of those good checks I pull off sometimes. My Intimidation is Good (+3)

(4d3-5)[1] +2 if Hulking Size bonus.

Also, this whole thing of course is in case they can even be intimidated in the first place

It seems like ghouls *can* experience fear. Although Brando's attempt was not top notch, it was enough to have the ones at front pause momentarily. That was enough for Harry to yell "FORZARE!". Welcome to bowling for (or with) ghouls! all the ghouls nearby are pushed back into the building before the wall collapses. "Doctor, what is the situation over there? I didn't see any that were un-turned over here. Hell's Belles, it's like the zompocalypse over here!"

Brando looks at Dresden with the universal animal face for "You don't actually believe I'm gonna talk do you?" which all the animals do once some random person decides they should talk just because they are magical in some way

He just shakes his head in a no, trying to convey his feelings of temporary hopelessness towards this Warden and walks back towards the rest of the group. Action really needed to be over it, so he could change back, and just faint from his injuries. The sooner he was knocked out the sooner he would be back up and fixing other people's injuries

Dresden facepalms as he finds out that the doctor cannot speak in animal form. He should have remembered, but he is in stressful situation right now. "Look, bring Warden Inoue to me if she's not occupied. I can't leave here yet. Gotta stay to contain the ghouls."

The keys actually work, and the prisoners are freed. They are shaking however, as if trying to contain something. "Hungry..."

Fortunately (or maybe not, depending on your POV), someone is here to offer help. Aria steps in, surveying the situation. "You, you and you, go help the other warden with containment. The rest of you, with me."

She strides forward confidently, all legs and smiles. "Amber...I'm so glad you and yours are all relatively safe. It looks like you've got it all under control...except for those other there." She points to the prisoners.

"Son of a bitch..." Amber mumbles when the Vampire Chick walks in. She was too weak to do anything right now and if this vampire was plotting anything this would be it. "What now?" Amber growls.

Grim dropped the keys, letting the prisoners mill about. He was about to comment on the restlessness of the natives when Aria walked in. "Hey, it's Viagra! I know some people like to watch, but this is just ridiculous!"

Of course, it would be interesting to see how Amber's crimes against inhumanity might be viewed from a member of the other team ...

Aria makes a face. "Really? The garbage can? That's where you're going to leave the head? Amber, I really thought you had more restraint, although I suppose this does make your future assignment more interesting I suppose. Alright. We still have...methods of taking information out of a dead vampire, but it'll take longer. In the meantime, the...victims will need to stay with us at the Raith manor. The moment we devise the cure, we can apply it to them. Don't you worry, I give you my word we will not use them as food."

Brando enters the scene, he nods to Aria. This form wasn't affected that much by her "come hither". He wondered if his animal instincts were telling him how dangerous the whole thing was, but then again he already knew it. Maybe that was why they didn't really have anything that serious?

Wait, this is the completely wrong time to think about these kind of things. He pushes lightly against Amber's legs than start to walk back to Dresden, snarling "Horrow". It was a (bad) attempt at speaking, but maybe it got the message through...
