Thoughts on the potato:
1) This is stupid.
2) Boy, trolls are even weirder in regards to lewd acts than we thought.
3) Again, further jabs at the fandom.
4) Can't help bUt feel like this is som sort of jab at the idea of trolls finding something so mundane as a bucket and human reproduction as disgusting that everyday, kind interactions are sinfully dirty.

I think the key is kindness. Notice that the stuff that he's considering isn't just "physical touching", it's them getting married or saying that they care about each other. (Until he gets bored right at the end, anyway.) Troll culture post-scratch considers basic tenderness to be something incredibly scandalous and wrong because trolls are "supposed" to be ruthless. They think that love is pity, after all.

Also, while this entire thing was wildly, gloriously stupid, the extended sequence in which uu is all "let's play or else" and Dirk is just "okay, let's go" and uu keeps going was freaking hilarious.

Well yeah, assuming they are on a planet inhabited by the trolls after the universe is created, then it's likely that the trolls we have now taught them about their old culture, or at least everything they knew.

Or they could be post-Reckoning trolls in the vein of Aradia, Dirk, and Roxy (kinda). It's odd because she reminds me of a pre-scratch troll while he is definitely a post-scratch troll. I also think the last picture was his attempt to put at least one respectable element into that disgusting display.

It was pretty funny, though. Dirk just starts rolling with it and comments less and less with each picture. Almost wish there was a timestamp on that log, so I could tell how long it took to make the last one...

Finally, it kinda reminds me of the Animaniacs, namely the episode where they paint the Sistene Chapel.

I didn't say there wouldn't be shenanigans. This is Homestuck, that's a given. Handmaiden (not Aradia) arrived post-reckoning, for instance. As I said, to me, she seems pre-scratch while he seems post-scratch, suggesting that they might be responsible for creating each other. Mobius gets really grabby when trolls are involved.

It's worth noting that Karkat's crew didn't troll the humans until after they were in the game - actually, until after they'd all but one and Bec Noir pulled the rug from under them and stabbed them several times. Anyway, both UUs and the kids are talking pre-game, which is a bit unique. As such, it isn't impossible that they are on Earth post-Reckoning, as some of the Condesce's more successful attempts to resurrect her race (creating a few trolls is not the same as making a viable race, of course).

No, no, no. On the human side the entire timeline is game. On the troll side, however, the trolling doesn't start until Bec shows. Karkat's crew was in the game at that point. UU and uu haven't started yet.

Plausible, although I would have thought we'd have seen it by now. Unless Roxy's Void status helps her keep away from it and it spends most of its time fruitlessly trying to find her.. but most of Dirk's work has been more competent than that so far.
