Once the call is done, Ermine joins Reinholdt in laughter. Since she's half-drunk, the pirate thinks its even funnier than she normally would.

"Dat was great. Sounded jus' like 'im."

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt giggles uncontrollably.

"I wonder heeee.... if he gets the haha... ugly nose comment... hahahahah."

[VampireRot]

"Dat'd be hilarious."

Ermine chortles at the thought.

At a small table in the bar, a couple average guys are in mid-conversation. It seems to be rather heated, I wonder what serious moral discussions might have sparked such an argument?

"Listen, I don't care what you say, there's no way that'd work." the dark-haired man says, throwing up his hands in a sort of quiet desperation. The mage across from him does not seem deterred by this casual dismissal.

"I'm telling you, it's flawless."

"No, listen. I'll bet you fifty bucks that not only will it not work, but it'll backfire horribly."

The mage seems almost impressed by this wager. Now fifty bucks are on the line!

"Ooh, you gamble with fate, my friend - and fate... is a cruel and feisty mistress."

"Yeah, don't ever say that again-"

"-I'll take your wager my friend. Not only that, but I can guarantee you that I can work my magic on any girl who walks through that door. And I'm not talking arcane magic, I'm talking about raw magnetism. Because just like the pull of gravitational forces on our tiny squishy bodies, I'm irresistible."

There is a pause. The dark-haired man sighs.

"Alright, let's get this train-wreck over with."

The next individual of female personage to walk in the door, hmm? Well now, that is a rather mighty boast. Almost on cue, the fates decide to place just one such an individual within the Tavern, entering through the front door. to those who know her kind, it's immediately apparent that she's a half-dragon, with Black scales and a pair of forward curving horns jutting from her head. Black hair hangs around her head, a bit of green dye mixed in for some reason, and a few teeth protrude from her mouth. Her figure would be hourglass if she had any breasts to speak of, but people will simply have to enjoy looking at her hips instead.

Her hands are bulky and and have dangerous looking claws at the ends of her fingers, and her feet are digitigrade. A tail swishes behind her, the pattern of yellowish green plates that goes from her chin downwards extending all along the bottom of its length.

her first action upon entering the tavern is to glance around curiously, taking in the sight of all the different people. she's been here a while, but not quite long enough to get used to seeing such a mix of people in one place. It's very different from the human centric city she's from.

The mage's current drinking companion gives him a look. The sort of look that says, 'Are you sure you don't want to quit while you're ahead?'. Once again, this does not seem to deter him. He holds up a solitary finger in response.

He takes a drink.

"Watch and learn, I'm about to make pick-up history."

He stands from his chair, moving towards the half-dragon as if he were about to leave past her out the door. With a certain amount of rehearsed casualness, he passes a glance her way, only to come to a sudden halt. Having stopped only a few feet away, the mage opens his mouth. Many patrons might immediately wish he hadn't.

"Woah, are you my parking ticket? Because I'm telling you - you have fine written all over you."

With a groan, the dark-haired man back at the table buries his head in his hands.

[Halae]

Ormirrah blinks in surprise as Adane approaches her. Had he really just said that to her? Was he... was he some sort of moron that picked up his lines from cheap books or the internet? He can't be serious can he?

She looks at his face curiously. No, he's definitely serious.

Well. She'll stay polite, but it's clear that didn't work, "You... may want to find some better pick up lines. That was absolutely terrible."

[Darklord Bright]

He cracks a smile.

"Don't worry, I was totally joking. I bet you hear that one all the time, right? Who does that, y'know?" weirdly, the shut-down didn't seem to phase him one bit.

"Besides, it's good that I'm leaving. See, because you and I? We're like a box of matches. Leave us unattended for too long, and there's sure to be flames." with a grin, even. Just look at this. Overconfidence oozes out of him like a thing that oozes, and his lines aren't even that good.

Oh well, looks like the train-wreck is fast approaching..

[Halae]

Ormirrah can't help but crack a smile at that, which quickly devolves into laughing, which lasts for a little while, and she has to keep herself from doubling over.

After a moment she pulls herself together, "Alright, that was still terrible, but it was hilarious. Tell you what; you keep making me laugh like that and maybe we can share a drink or two?" Her tone isn't mocking, or telling him to get away. She's being honest here; Adane is hilarious.

"Well... Let me check my schedule." Adane checks his wrist, which happens to be devoid of a watch. "Hm. Yep, I'm open. First round's on me."

As a great scholar once said, this is going to be legendary.

And if there are no objections, he'll lead her to the bar, making sure to pass his previous table to shoot a smugly triumphant look as covertly as he can manage. Just how much of that went according to plan, we may never know.

[Halae]

As long as Adane doesn't try anything with his hands, Ormirrah won't object to going over to the bar, "So, what's your name, Red? I'm Ormirrah," She'll let Adane make the orders. Truth be told she hasn't had much alcohol in her life, even though she's got a lot of tolerance on account of her heritage.

Her tail swishes as she thinks. He seems nice, even if he's a bit odd, and it's clear what type of intention he had. Still, she's wary; there's men who believe that after a few drinks women will jump into bed with them, or will try to force her. not that he could, considering how scrawny the boy is. those 'pleasant' thoughts reside in the back of her mind as she asks her question.

[Darklord Bright]

The mage holds out his hand, "Oh, of course! Adane, pleasure to meet you. Hell, if dragons looked more like you, I might go on more adventures."

He pauses.

"You know, funny story about that. Adventuring, I mean. I was once in a party with this guy who had this whole 'ninja' thing going on. Real quiet and wrapped up pretty much head to toe. And you know what? No joke, it turned out he was actually a really hot drow chick. And I mean really, really hot. Crazy. Why would you cover something like that up?"

Aughta be a crime, by his reckoning.

[Halae]

Ormirrah smiles as she shakes his hand. Her hand is likely much larger and much stronger than his, but there's a delicate quality about them, somehow, while Ormirrah is very careful to avoid hurting him with her claws. It's happened before, and she certainly doesn't want it to happen again. Adane should also note the multitude of scales that are on her hands, even as the rub against his own skin.

"I appreciate the compliment at least, but I can tell you right now; women generally don't like hearing about how attractive other women are, you know?"

[Darklord Bright]

Get ready for the save!

"Oh, don't worry. The point is that you beat her by a mile anyways. So, you want to drink anything specific?"

If not, he'll probably just order a tall glass of some sort of cocktail or other. Best to drink in style, right?

[Halae]

A good save it was! "Nicely done then," Ormirrah says, smiling. It's a shame she has those teeth jutting out of her mouth. They kind of her mouth looking good, "So what did you come down to this nice little establishment for? Just looking for women? You probably could have chosen one that's a bit better looking you know, rather than just jumping up immediately when i came in the door like a desperate puppy looking for love."

Ormirrah is testing him here, actually, seeing how he responds to a minor insult. she wants to know how much she can tease him.

Adane gives her a look, accompanied by a grin.

"So, you were staring at me when you came in, huh? Now, how about that. Was it my irresistible magnetism, pulling you in like a tractor beam of solid awesome?"

He may have somewhat missed the point, but that's quite a response if nothing else.

[Halae]

That sends Ormirrah laughing again, "It's kind of hard to miss the guy in bright red coming towards you in a place as dark as this," she says, "And when you stood up and came over I figured I may as well give you a bit of my incredibly valuable time!" the tone of voice shows she's teasing. Ormirrah has literally nothing but free time right now. She'll take a drink from the cocktail, enjoying the interesting taste.

Adane's always been a fan of cocktails. You can always find one that's the perfect combination of an okay taste, a good look, and just enough alcohol to get you drunk by the end of the night.

"So, what brings you to this neck of the woods?" he asks.

[Halae]

Ormirrah shrugs, "Drinks, people to talk to, the usual. To be fair though, the booze here is a lot better than where I'm from. Swamp stuff tends to be such, you know?" she takes another drink of her cocktail. She seems to be enjoying it, "Besides, the water around the docks is a lot easier to see in, and this is the closest bar to the docks."

[iElf]

Din enders the Den nervously, heading to a table in the corner. she takes a glance across the room, waiting for her companions

[Beans]

A peglegged girl with black hair follows Din, as does a young lady with.... horns, hooves, and a tail. Clip clop.
They sit down with her, waiting for the other woman to come.

[FireFox]

Ally, a young redhead with several pouches attached to her belt, sits down next to Din and looks around.

[iElf]

Din sighs "we may not be lucky here either...airship captains are far and in-between..."

[Beans]

Aw... Tsiln frowns. Adventuring is better than not adventuring, she thinks.

[Lady Serpentine]

Karyana, presumably accompanied by Tsiln, arrives and heads for an out of the way table, where she orders something made of equal parts Drow Spiderblood Wine, Black Shadow, and Mushroom Wine.

[Beans]

Tsiln sits with her, just getting a glass of water. She keeps close to her friend, still very concerned for her.

[Lady Serpentine]

Tsiln has good reason to be worried about Karyana; were it not for the presence of the daemon, she probably would have gotten Arhtorvin with her drink, or something similar.

"I wish I knew why she did it... I was the one that wasn't sure, originally; she was fine with it, once Zwei made the suggestion..."

[Beans]

I... don't know either.
... H-how is Zwei holding up?

[Lady Serpentine]

Karyana's shoulders and wings slump, and she drains rather a lot of her drink.

"Not well... She think it's her fault somehow."

[Beans]

Tsiln puts an arm around her.
Oh no...
