Q367 Does jumping penalize a hide or move silently check? For example if you move less than you full move distance, and make two small 5 feet jumps, what would the penalty be?

It makes your attacks touch attacks. thats it. So it bypass armor and enchantments that give you armor bonus to AC.

Fortification and anything else that is +X equivalent is unaffected

Yes, this would necessarily be homebrew material, since it makes no physical sense. Diamonds are very hard, but not very tough. From Wikipedia:
Unlike hardness, which only denotes resistance to scratching, diamond's toughness or tenacity is only fair to good. Toughness relates to the ability to resist breakage from falls or impacts. Because of diamond's perfect and easy cleavage, it is vulnerable to breakage. A diamond will shatter if hit with an ordinary hammer.
Weapons and armor made from diamonds would be good for only a single hit.

This will be up to your individual DM. You can't move at lower speed while jumping (gravity precludes that). The problem is that the Move Silently penalty for moving at your full speed isn't defined in the rules. It will be at least -5 (the penalty for moving up to your full speed). Many DMs make the penalty be the same for full speed; some use -10.

    A 369 Yes.

If the items meet the requirements, the greater augment crystals will function. With a few exceptions (such as INT-boosting items and skill point gain) the rules don't make distinctions about the components that make up requirements, just whether the numbers are met. When the spells end and the requirements are no longer met, you'll lose the higher functions of those augment crystals.

Damage always stacks in D&D, and both of these deal ability damage (although it's a very odd sort of damage, since it has a time limit).

Sickening Grasp (CMage) states "As long as you have a necromancy spell of 3rd level or higher available to cast, any living creature you hit with a melee touch attack becomes sickened"

I know Reserve feats have standard action activation, but is there any activation required for this feat? It appears to be in an always on state.

It works like any other touch spell, you make the melee touch attack with the same action you use to activate the feat.

    From the SRD:
Dexterity 0 means that the character cannot move at all. He stands motionless, rigid, and helpless.
This is different from paralyzed, thus the PC is question is not technically paralyzed, but he is unable to move and helpless.

There is no action 'time' specified within the feat. Generally, however, a melee touch attack requires an attack roll, and making an attack is a standard action unless otherwise specified.

Funny enough, no. The wording on the feat (Page 50, ECS) states that it acts as heavy armor for the purposes of determining whether or not you can use your class features, and that it's considered to be heavy armor.

The 3.5e FAQ states that the ___ Body feats do not count as far as proficiencies go.

can duskblades learn extra spells outside of from leveling up? like my friend wants to learn spells from a scroll, however it says that sorcerers and bards cannot do that so it seems logical that since the duskblade is also a spontaneous caster he can't either. so can duskblades learn spells from scrolls like wizards?

More a double check than a question - is there any reason that you couldn't apply both the Swarm Shifter (LM) and Hivenest Monster (Dng) templates to a large, corporeal undead with an Intelligence score?

    Q 378b

If this is legal, what would happen to the Hivenest swarm when the being assumes swarm form from it's Swarm Shifter abilities? Are they assumed to be merged into the swarm form, or do they function separately?

How does familiar advancement work with the Improved Familiar feat? Specifically, the feat says that all features of normal familiar apply except for changing the type and removing speak with animals - how does this interact with the familiar's increased Intelligence?

A vanilla familiar gets its Int promoted to 6 at level 1. At level 10, the Int is now at 10.
An Improved Familiar gets its Int promoted to ?? at, say, level 6 when you take the feat. At level 10, the Int is now at ??

A Duskblade cannot learn spells from scrolls. The most common method for a Duskblade to add to its spell list (aside from levelling up) is via feats or Prestige Classes. A mostly-complete list of ways to increase spells known is available here.

    A 380 Yes.

Flurry of Blows is an Extraordinary class ability which modifies the full attack action.
Using an extraordinary ability is usually not an action because most extraordinary abilities automatically happen in a reactive fashion.
The Monk would gain one extra attack, and could use this for every grapple check which is made in place of an attack. Examples:
    Damage Your Opponent

While grappling, you can deal damage to your opponent equivalent to an unarmed strike. Make an opposed grapple check in place of an attack.
    ...
    Pin Your Opponent

You can hold your opponent immobile for 1 round by winning an opposed grapple check (made in place of an attack).

Well, the RAI seems to be that it triggers whenever yout body comes into physical contact with something. RAW, any time you get a melee touch attack it happens.

    A 382 Probably not.

The default for "Manipulate an Item" is a move action. So handing an item to someone else is a move action, and so is taking a handed item. Except for the initial "Person 1", each character would need 2 move actions and whatever action was required to trigger a spell from the staff. Most such spells require a standard action, which would make the total exceed the actions available in one round. The scenario would work if the spell required only a swift action, however.

A different set of actions might accomplish what you want. Dropping an item in an adjacent square is a free action. Picking up an item is a move action; this would provoke an attack of opportunity. There's no guarantee that some enemy wouldn't pick up the staff from the ground instead of an ally. It does fit the available actions in one round, leaving a standard action for triggering a spell from the staff.
