You'll need to talk to your individual DM, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. From Libris Mortis on page 8:To classify undead as coldblooded creatures would be inaccurate, however, since undead are mostly bloodless.
- put nutrients into the blood
- remove accumulated toxins from the blood
- oxygenate the blood
A 073-B No.
With Magical Training you "are treated as a sorcerer or wizard of your arcane spellcaster level (minimum 1st) for the purpose of determining level-based variables of the spells you cast." The feat further specifies how it augments your spellcasting if you already have actual levels in Sorcerer or Wizard, but it does not establish spellcasting progression without those levels. That is, there is no formula for how many spells you would be able to know or cast with extra virtual Wizard or Sorcerer levels, and Jade Phoenix Mage also does not supply a formula to work with Magical Training. Absent such a formula, there is no increase.Last edited by Curmudgeon; 2012-02-07 at 06:16 PM.

Q 080
I've heard conflicting opinions about how to calculate the CR of an NPC with only NPC class levels. Is their CR 1/2 their levels, or their levels minus 1 (i.e. would a Human Warrior 6 be CR 3 or CR 5)? Where can I find the relevant rule.My winning competition entries: Kinvig Arrumskor | The Great Pumpkinhead | Wynfrith d'Acker

A 078 Yes.
Most actions which do not involve an attack roll can be performed by a subject of Sanctuary. Encouraging or ordering other creatures to attack does not break the spell.
A 079 No.Gaze attacks not produced by a spell are supernatural.Supernatural Abilities (Su)
Supernatural abilities are magical and go away in an antimagic field but are not subject to spell resistance, counterspells, or to being dispelled by dispel magic. Using a supernatural ability is a standard action unless noted otherwise.Last edited by Curmudgeon; 2012-02-08 at 03:46 AM.

Nonassociated Class Levels
If you add a class level that doesn’t directly play to a creature’s strength the class level is considered nonassociated, and things get a little more complicated. Adding a nonassociated class level to a monster increases its CR by ½ per level until one of its nonassociated class levels equals its original Hit Dice. At that point, each additional level of the same class or a similar one is considered associated and increases the monster’s CR by 1.
Levels in NPC classes are always treated as nonassociated.

Q 081
In the Expanded Psionics Handbook there is a general feat named something like "Cloaked Dance" (translating from Italian here), it requires 10 ranks in Hide and allows to use various actions to obtain various degrees of concealment.
My questions are:
A:does using this feat allows to bypass the need to feint for rogues or sneak-attack-capable classes?
B:For that matter, does it allows to roll a Hide check?
C:Would attacking while using this feat affect the enemy AC at all?Last edited by Kalmageddon; 2012-02-08 at 08:01 AM.

Re: Simple Q&A D&D 3.5 (by RAW) XX
A 081 A:
Feinting is not generally needed to allow sneak attack. To enable sneak attack you can
- flank the enemy, which requires a flanking partner; or
- deny the target their Dexterity bonus to AC.
A 081 B:
The Cloak Dance feat provides either concealment (with a move action) or total concealment (with a full-round action). Either of these will satisfy one of the two requirements to use the Hide skill (cover/concealment). The other requirement is that you are not being observed. Total concealment will also satisfy the "not being observed" requirement. You still need to perform an action which will allow a Hide check, and after using a full-round action for Cloak Dance there aren't too many options left. If you take a 5' step you can Hide as part of that movement. You will incur a -5 penalty to your Hide check because you're moving at full speed (the full 5' rather than 2.5').
A 081 C: Maybe.
Being unseen will grant the usual advantages: you gain +2 to attack, and the target is denied their DEX bonus to AC. If the target has a Dexterity bonus this will reduce their AC. If they do not have a DEX bonus their AC will not change.

Re: Simple Q&A D&D 3.5 (by RAW) XX
Thank you for your answer!
One more thing...
These two statements seems to contraddict eachother, if Total concealment satisty the "not being observed" what action would I need to perform? Hiding si not an action at all if I recall correctly.
Can't I just use the full round action, take Total Concealment and then, since I count as not being observed, roll Hide?Last edited by Kalmageddon; 2012-02-08 at 12:03 PM.

Re: A 081 B:
Because Hide is not a separate action (excepting the special Sniping case for ranged attacks), you may only perform it along with some other action which allows a Hide check. You can move up to one-half your normal speed and hide at no penalty. When moving at a speed greater than one-half but less than your normal speed, you take a -5 penalty. It’s practically impossible (-20 penalty) to hide while attacking, running or charging. ...
You can use Bluff to help you hide. A successful Bluff check can give you the momentary diversion you need to attempt a Hide check while people are aware of you.

Q083
The Warforged race is the main bad guys organisation in my campaign. One of my players play a factotum.
How is the factotum's int to damage treated against a warforged with light fortification? So far we've played with a 25% negation chance but we're not quite sure if it is correct.

Cunning Insight is not a critical hit or sneak attack. Fortification only protects against the listed sources of bonus damage.

A 086:
The shadow conjuration and shadow evocation spells can be used to mimic spells that a prepared caster neglected to prepare, that a spontaneous caster does not know, or from a school that a specialized wizard prohibited. They're used in the same way as the spells they mimic, with the exception that since they're only quasi-real, there's the chance they will be disbelieved for lesser or no effect.Time travels in divers paces with divers persons.

Q87: The Complete Adventurer and the Complete Scoundrel both have feats in them designed for multi-classing (Ie Swift Ambusher and Ascetic Hunter) My question is are there any other feats like those in other books? Namely one for stacking barbarian and ranger?
Q88: Is there any official errata on the Bear warrior's "turn into a bear ability"?
The book contradicts itself in it text. One part saying that it is limited by the number of times you can rage and another part of the text says it's once a day.Last edited by EvilJames; 2012-02-09 at 03:02 PM.

Yes, there is official errata. The only limit on use is the number of times you can rage per day, as per the barbarian class (or whatever rage ability you used to qualify). Errata for all the books are available on WotC's website.Time travels in divers paces with divers persons.

Q90
On familiar's delivering touch spells the SRD states: "... The familiar can then deliver the touch spell just as the master could. ..."
Does this mean that a familiar could benefit from an Archmage's Arcane Reach ability? I don't see a mention of it in Dictum Mortuum's handbook, so I'm inclined to say no, but "as the master could" could be interpreted rather broadly."1/0" is a paradox; in a way that "0/1" is not. [...] One is something, and Zero is nothing. [...] 1/0 is a cry out against mere logic and efficiency. Stuff exists. All existence, all truth, cannot be ultimately justified: it can only be described, explained, and enjoyed. 1/0 is illogical. 1/0 is irrational. 1/0 is impossible. 1/0 is transcendentally unfair. 1/0 is true. Deal with it.

Re: Simple Q&A D&D 3.5 (by RAW) XX
A 091 a:
The Wyrm Wizard prestige class lets you add a handful of spells from other spell lists to your spells known. There may be other methods as well.
A 091 b:
Depends on what you mean by "similar". If you just want to make iterative attacks with a touch damage spell, Chill Touch will work.
A 093:
The benefit from a monk's belt works like the monk class feature. The class feature only works with no armor, so the same is true of the belt.
A 094 a:
Unarmed Strike is a separate weapon from claw, bite, or the like. Your unarmed strike does some amount of damage, and your claws do some amount of damage. The only interaction at all is if you have some spell or other benefit that improves all of your natural weapons, such as Greater Magic Fang, which will improve your unarmed strike and your sharp pointy body parts both.
A 094 b:
You make your iterative attacks (including Flurry of Blows, if you'd like) with your unarmed strike, and can then add an additional attack with each of your other natural weapons as a secondary natural attack. The extra attacks are all at your full attack bonus -5 (the penalty can be reduced via feats), but your primary attacks take no penalty from adding the secondary attacks.Time travels in divers paces with divers persons.
