Anatolij steps away from Thelxiope gently but firmly. They've all been instructed to be careful.
Oh? I guess we will, then. Congratulate the happy new parents and all that.
Ognian, evidently not a man of many words, just nods.

Wenomir steps out of the truck as well, the heavily scarred tall man with red eyes and black hair, clad in main with a black surcoat over it, with his sword on his back and his throwing kives in their holsters.

[Entrance]

Yazon also accompanies the group. He is a dwarf, built stout and broad. His hair and braided beard are a light blond and what skin is visible is tanned. He wears fin clothing made for travel, including a broad brimmed hat. He has a few pieces of armour, including a chain mail shirt, gauntlets, and a capeline helmet under his hat. He carries a few weapons including a bearded axe and a pair of tomahawks.

"I see." Tovpir nods and heads back Iamar.

"I'm sorry. I was just suprised and needed to ask this please continue."

The next person is more or less different to the once before. The woman 'rides' on a big robot. The woman seems to barly 18 and doesn't look like she ever fought. She wears priestress outfit and in her hand she holds a staff with three gears grabing only into each other. The robot Mia is riding is MDM and looks like that

Cessie the sorceress is here as well, if she needs a closer description it's in my signature. "We better not stay too long Harnel, I hate the idea of the twins being without either of us for long." She tells the half-dragon. GloG would simply not cut it for her.

Entrance => Courtyard

The paperwork at the gate is simple, requiring just an agreement form to be signed(stating that yes, they were entering training voluntarily) and a picture to be taken. Their weapons and equipment are allowed in.

Waiting for them are two people. The first is a tall and powerfully built man with gray hair and a pristine uniform. Edijar carries two pistols on his belt, as well as a straight blade about 3ft in length. His presence is one of sureness and experience. Harnel and Cessie will have met him before, but it's possible that the others have at least heard of him.

Next to him is a blond elf wearing a suit of Basic Power Armor. Arla is the priestess assigned to the training, and appears unarmed except for a Khopesh at her side.

At the sight of them, Edijar speaks up. "Please, line up and set your equipment in front of you in an orderly fashion." He says before looking up at Mia. "In the case of your walker, behind you if you are capable of leaving it. If not, you're fine how you are." He explains before stepping forward. "My name is Edijar Losthold, and I will be your instructor. From here on out, address me as Sir or Instructor Edijar."

Outside Motor Pool

"He's my younger brother and he murdered our parents." Jyarl says with obvious distaste and disgust. "Is that enough, or do I have to go into detail about why?"

Motor Pool

Geoff nods, not wanting to try and tell her again that he thought it was a bad idea that she tried to pilot the HQ, but now that Luke was born, he had no real reason to deny it of her.

Anatolij and the rest of the unit will see Teles handing Carl his son back, positively radiant at being honored enough to hold the young child.

"Well, as I was saying, I know when I somehow got here. I just don't understand how it worked." Iamar takes a breath, figuring out her story. "Out scouting party had just recovered an artifact that the Crusaders were keeping. I was presenting it to our captain so that he might judge what to do with it, when it started... glowing, I suppose. Next I know, I'm here."

Darcy obeys and says "Yes, Sir." At least her silver daggers aren't glowing.



Outside the Motor Pool

Missy looks stunned. "He... killed your parents?" She had often hated her parents, and had basically disowned them, but she had never raised a hand to them in violence. Couldn't imagine doing so. Somewhere deep, she still loved them and ached for their absence in her life.

Luke gurgles at Carl. He recognizes Daddy!

Sunny is still busy interacting with her suit. New toy!

"If I may speak, I'm not actually here for instructions Edijar." Not that she thought Edijar could really learn her anything anyway. Except you know, everything about combat except eldritch?

"But I would like to observe the training if you don't mind." And possibly discuss a few things over with Vas while she was here.

Anatolij and his two squadmates head over to Carl, smiling. The Cossack biker steps forward first, reaching out with his hand to the halfling.
Congratulations, he says.

[Courtyard]

Wenomir nods in understanding, takes off his sword, removes the knives from holsters and removes and lines them up in front of him. For this occasion, he put on a different left glove than the one KR made for him, same with his belt. Removing them would be unfeasible.

Harnel falls into line easily. He doesn;t have any equipment besides his natural abilities and clothing, so he doesn't need to bother with that, but he stands at attention readily; May as well set an example for the others if they're watching. He's the one that set this up, after all.

Carl can't help but grin and shakes the Cossack's hand. "Thank you. Sunny's trying on her armor, but I know she's thankful too."

Outside the Motor Pool

"He killed our father and our sister took care of our Mother." Jyarl says with disgust. "Because of it, I got pressganged into the Guard and eventually the Legions. I was the rightful heir to the House and they took it all away." He growls out, obviously feeling bitter hatred for his siblings. "Our House is dead because of them."

Rec Center

Anna nods at the assassin's story. "It's a rather common occurrence. More than you'd believe actually. A wrong turn, different door, or even sleeping in the wrong spot and you could have ended up here."

Yazon sets about removing his weapons and armour. He does so quickly and efficiently, as if he's done it hundreds of times quickly in the past. He puts the hat there too, expecting it'd get in the way.

He's dressed in a dusty brown... duster, and a broad-brimmed hat that he adjusts every so often. A pair of spectacles glint on his short nose. His clothes are otherwise unremarkable: blue tie, white dress shirt, dark khakis.

Teq Vraal approaches the gate, and whether or not there are soldiers manning it directly, the creature calls, "I'm here to apply for a job." An electronic cigarette hangs out of his mouth, smoke drifting into the hot afternoon air.

Missy looks stunned, but it was all too easy to imagine the elegant and deadly Javert killing his own father. "But... why? What reason did he have?" she asks.

I'm sure she is. Anatolij leans over Luke. I guess that means you'll be taking a leave of absence, huh? A military base ranks low on the list of places you want to raise kids in.

"Our parents were heretics of the worst kind, but he and our sister had broken the familial bond. His head and soul will be mine, and so will my sister's." Jyarl swears grimly with a half-snarl.

Carl bites his lip a bit and gives a glance at where Sunny is, but he gives a small nod. "It might be more than that, I don't know yet. One of us will have to help raise him more than the drones might, and frankly, she does more good than me here."

There are indeed people manning the gate. There's a slight delay before she responds. "Step inside, someone will be with you shortly." The gate opens to admit him.

Provided he does enter, after waiting a couple minutes, Gustav approaches him. "I assume you're the one who would like to join Remnant? You may call me Gustav. And your name is?"

Front Gate

"I am called Vul Vraal," says 'Vul', giving a small and probably forced smile at the Remnant interviewer. He offers a large hand to Gustav. "That's correct."

Near the Motor Pool

"Are you going to raise Jefferies with those values?" Missy asks. "Revenge and bloodshed? Blood for blood and life for life?"

Eventually, Sunny goes to take off her suit so she can return to her husband and child.

Gustav gives the hand a firm shake. "Good. Follow me and we can begin your interview." The man turns and gestures for Vul to follow. Once they arrive at the interview room, Gustav sits at the table. Opposite him is a chair for Vul.

"First of all, why do you wish to join Remnant?" He begins.

MDM offers mia a hand and set her down gently. She doesn't really join the line since she has no military experience and assumes this has some not obviouse meaning. She stands in front of MDm and her staff stands right in front of her. She still wonders why he mentions leaving. She was sitting on his shoulder nothing more.

Rec Center

"This world proves to be more and more strange." Tovpir says noding.

[Front Gate => Interview Room]

Gustav gives the hand a firm shake. "Good. Follow me and we can begin your interview." The man turns and gestures for Vul to follow. Once they arrive at the interview room, Gustav sits at the table. Opposite him is a chair for Vul.

"First of all, why do you wish to join Remnant?" He begins.

Vul sits opposite Gustav, the chair groaning beneath his weight. He clicks and pulls the e-cig with a mandible, holding it away while smoke leaks from the gaps in his mouth. "I'm tired of working with incompetent doddards for poor pay."

[Interview Room]

Gustav chuckles shortly. "That's a good enough reason for me. What are you capable of? Skills, abilities, anything you may have experience with?" He asks next.

[Murkus]

[Interview Room]

"I've been called a heavy weapons specialist. Armorer or gunner at times," says Vul, crossing his muscled arms and studying Gustav with quiet contemplation. "I have experience with many things. Many weapons. I'm sure I could operate most of your armory effectively."

[Gullara]

[Interview Room]

"Good, it'll do you well in training." Gustav says. "Is there anything in your past that could effect you here, as well as Remnant as a whole? We all have our histories, but it becomes a problem if it interferes with you now."

[Murkus]

[Interview Room]

"I don't think so. I've cut a lot of ties, over the years," Vul says. That much is true - and for good reason, too. Then there's MURDER, of course...

"That is certainly something I can attest to. A month ago, I never would've though I would be talking to a large scorpion, and yet..." Iamar's been acclimating to the Nexus as well as anyone else, though. At least, that's what she'd like to think.

Carl bites his lip a bit and gives a glance at where Sunny is, but he gives a small nod. "It might be more than that, I don't know yet. One of us will have to help raise him more than the drones might, and frankly, she does more good than me here."

Anatolij and his soldiers nod in understanding.
You'll be missed, I'm sure, says the Cossack. But you're doing the right thing.
He's a lucky kid if you ask me, Ognian comments. You two are going to raise him well.

"You'll be missed?" Sunny says to Carl, arriving only in time to hear the last part. "Where are you going?"

Carl floats over to kiss Sunny's cheek. "I'm going to take an early retirement, or at least a job I can do from home so one of us can stay around Luke all day. You're needed here a lot more than I am." He tries to explain to her. As sad as the announcement may seem to be, he's smiling the entire time, knowing this was the right thing to do.

Rec Center

Anna snorts. "Just wait till you meet something nasty. Like a Tyranid or a Clown Golem." She says before shuddering. "By the gods, I'm still haunted by the honks..."

Outside the Motor Pool

Jyarl closes his eyes to calm down for a moment before giving a snort of amusement. "No. She's already learned those well enough without me." He admits. "But even so, between me and a pug, there's not enough to help raise her. She needs someone to ground her."

Courtyard

Edijar gives Cessie a small nod of acknowledgement. "If you don't mind stepping aside then, that's perfectly acceptable. Other than that, I do have a favor to ask, Councilor. I would like you to trust me in what I am doing. I realize your husband is taking part, but it is still quite likely that he might not pass this regimen. Regardless, you have my word that he'll be in one piece." He promises before looking at the other Watchmen. "Now, I have two questions. First and most importantly, is there anyone who has an issue with my complete authority over this? If so, step forward and we'll settle the dispute here and now. There won't be another chance later."
