Iamar stands near a wall. "Is there anything at all you can remember about yourself?"

"Mmm...only that me and that girl were dating and...that I wasn't like this a week ago..."
He motions to himself.

Interesting. "What happened? How did you change?"

Iamar remains standing, not able to really add to Terral's question.

"All I remember is me and my girl being on a date...then we were chloroformed by these two people. Then when I woke up in a cell, with 7 other cells around me, filled by 6 strangers and...my girl and...this man walked in with a cart. On the cart he had a large box of needles and all these different vials of green liquid...he administered it to us, never using the same vial twice. I passed out, and woke up in Inside. From there I spent my time trying to find my girl and...then when I saw a man hit her I...kinda panicked. So I murdered him."
He looked down at the table.
"Can you put the picture on the table please? The on in my wallet?"

"We put the wallet back in your hoodie."

Terral makes notes. Illegal modification without consent, degradation of memory and maybe overall cognitive deterioration.

Iamar furrows her brow a little, though that's difficult to see under her hood. She thought she'd given him back his wallet.

Watchtower Training

(Due to my now very limited time remaining with Internet access, I have spoken to Harnel and he will be in charge of the rest of this plot should you all choose to keep going, or it can be handwaved appropriately.)

Courtyard

"I've been pleasantly busy a bit for the past couple days. Which makes for a nice change of pace compared to my "normal" state." The doctor admits with a small smile, remembering the joy the patients had had once they'd been moved to their new robotic bodies. He'd get better ones built over time, but for now that was what was needed. Bugs would have to remember to send a thank you gift to Magtok sometime.

Missy

Missy is given clearance with minimal interference once Vasquez stepped in to override the normal security personnel. After all, if someone was taking potshots at Magtok in public, it paid to know who it was.

"Oh, that's right, I all about that. Those patients being given their new bodies. It wonderful that that could be done for them." Sequoia says with a warm smile.

Troop Deployment

Missy is suited up and has just gotten clearance to teleport to the Magsassination scene, when suddenly Rainbow. Catch the assassin or investigate this new disturbance? What might have taken the organic half of her mind full seconds to work out is done by her neural net in picoseconds.

Her mission is to protect Inside. The information about the assassin's identity had already been worked out by her neural net while she was getting into her armour. That was all she could do for her former boyfriend now.

She cancels the teleport and instead puts her hoverboots to full thrust and flies up to meet the rainbow pegasus in the Inside thread.

Yeah, they gave it back but his hands are still cuffed behind his back.
They never took of the handcuffs
Hunter waits to see if they'll put the picture on the table for him or what.

"Oh, right, sorry."

Terral reaches over and uncuffs him. "You know how it is, sometimes you're so eager to get to the next part that you forget a little detail."

Hunter ignores him, taking out the picture and staring at it. The picture itself is worn from looking at it so many times...
"Anything else you want to know?"
There were 6 other people out there currently who've been infected just like Hunter and the Witch, that'd probably be a good idea to ask more about.
Perhaps even if Hunter remembers where he woke up. The place he was infected at might very well be nearby.

"You said there were six others," Iamar says. "Do you know what they look like, where they are now?"

"There is one guy I can remember. Last I saw of him, he was just hanging around in that old warehouse on 25 Federal Street. The one that Umbrella used to own..."
He thought for a moment, as if trying to remember something.
"Sorry, that's all I remember." =I

"Perhaps you can remember where you were altered? We don't want this to happen to anyone else."

25 Federal street: look up. Umbrella: context, look up.

Hunter thinks.
"Mmmmm...I remember that it smelt like the sewers...but that's it, sorry. I'm finding I can't remember more and more each day..."
He looked down at the picture again.
"Can...can you help me? I-I don't want to forget her..."

The sewers? Well that was less than ideal; Inside's sewers are vast. "We'll do what we can, Mr. Dans. I think if we find whoever turned you, we can get them to help us turn you back." It's a mostly empty promise, but it's better than nothing, in Iamar's eyes.

That's why the Inside Sewers are ideal. They're so vast that someone could hide a whole operation down there if they're smart enough.
Hunter isn't pleased.
"No No NO!" he said, slamming his fist onto the table.
"I CAN'T WAIT THAT LONG!" he snarled, slamming both clenched fists into the table.
His fists unclenched slowly, as he calms down a little.
"I can't wait that long...I don't know if I'll forget her today or tomorrow or in a week...but I need something now."

Entrance >> Missy's Place

Missy and Magtok telewarp in outside the dimension lock, then Missy gets him in through security. Magtok has earned a lot of goodwill with his medical expertise, so it's fairly routine.

Missy's place is a one bedroom flat,, with only a little bit of customization beyond the standard issue furnishings. There are a couple of photos of her son on the wall at various ages, taken when her cybernetic eyes scanned over the photos that her parents had. These are small and all hung around a large central photo of Halifax on the swing.

But in addition to those photos, there is another of a little savage looking orc girl. And there are some childish drawings pinned up to the wall and on the refrigerator.

Finally, there's a plush beargon sitting in the corner of the sofa. By the wear in its fake fur, it seems to get snuggled a lot.


I think Missy is a very lonely person.


At any rate, Missy shows Magtok in. "One hideout, delivered as requested"

Missy's Place

Damn, this place is tiny. Magtok could probably telewarp the entire flat into his MagCave's foyer, and not even need to move the giant statue of himself out of the way first. Gods, how do you even fit in a place like this? There's no ceiling room to fly around, no billboard-sized walls to hang stuff on, and no one would dare run in this place; you'd bash your skull into a wall in an instant!

"Better than my last hideout too, that's for certain. Unless I'm wrong and there are copper-eating mole people living in the walls."

Man, clearing those guys out of the AuxCave was such a huge pain in the neck. At least the labs there aren't his responsibility anymore, now that he's handed it off to that Megan girl in AMEN. He's not sure if primitive wire-eating mole people have a word for the concept of 'revenge', but better safe than sorry, right?

Maggy glances briefly at the drawings and pictures. Odd, but nothing a question or two wouldn't clear up, unless it's some sort of big secret or something. Missy can bring it up and resolve that matter herself if she wants, but right now Mag just feels like taking a seat on the couch, and thanking his lucky stars he has an excuse to be out of the MagCave.

"Thanks, by the way. My head's just an absolute mess about everything right now."

"We need a psychologist, a medical scientist, maybe a geneticist specializing in genemods... a long list of scientists. To analyze the situation, and hopefully produce a cure. Iamar, what remnant operatives would be best to analyze him? Or who should we contact about this?" Terral is newer to remnant than most, he doesn't know all the fine details yet.

"Hot chocolate? Tea? Alcohol?" Missy offers. Generally one of those three is good for when your head is an absolute mess. Not all three at once though. That would be bad.

Missy's Place

"Hot chocolate. I don't drink tea, and I'm trying to avoid the liquor for now."

He pokes at the beargon with a finger, only now realizing just how fudging old that thing is, since she'd gotten it from him around Thankmas all those months ago. It's a good thing nobody ever gets Magtok things like that, they'd inevitably get sliced to ribbons long before seven months or so had come to pass.

Missy returns in a few minutes with a couple of mugs of hot chocolate, with lots of marshmallows. [COLOR="rgb(153, 50, 204)"]"You can crash on the sofa here if you want,"[/COLOR] Missy offers. Then she tilts her head and gives him a puzzled look. "Does this help you at all, having one of you here, when the rest of you are still at the MagCave or wherever else having to cope with stuff?"

Missy's Place

"The other Magtoks, not so much as it helps me, but it's still better than nothing."

Magtok shrugs, sipping at the hot chocolate.

"Same deal with the harpoon, too. It's all very complicated stuff that I do my absolute best to ignore as much as possible."

"I guess it is. Hard enough being just one cyborg. I have to turn down my computer half a lot just to slow my thoughts down. It's great when I need to analyze data. Not so great when it's just personal crap." Missy says.

Iamar doesn't understand the vast majority of the words that Terral uses, and her expression conveys that much. "I... suppose I could try and speak to the Commander about that."
