No, but the girl I was hanging with at the show, when I said I was going into linguistics said "oh man, I took a linguistics course last year, I hated it. Really embarrassing, but the reason I took it was... so I could learn... elvish..."

So I said "And now to betray my own past geekiness: Quenya or Sindarin?"

In an effort to establish both my bad boy cred and my geekyness. I had to write some 1000 word essay on what I did wrong during an in school suspension for fighting. (theres the bad boy cred) I had a theory though that it was just meant to kill time and not actually read, so i wrote the entire thing in elvish runes taken from the back of the return of the king. (Theres the nerd cred) It was a 1000 word essay on how the biggest mistake I made was leaving witnesses to squeal on me written entirely in elvish runes. (badnerd cred )
