Oh dear. Family times. How was the babby? In the crying all the time phase or in the devious and calculating phase?

I'm all tuckered out from tangoing myself. And watching people who actually know how to tango. That's the really tiring bit. The things the women do with their legs is tiring just to watch.

Just got back from D&D. Less then 400 EXP from hitting 4th. I'm so mad we didn't level.

That's a dangerous amount of XP to be away from the next level. Encourages fratricide on the part of the PCs, it does.

Almost happened. One of us wants to be killed off anyway. We were going to mercy kill him, but we couldn't get a read on what the DMs reaction would be.

The baby was actually really well behaved. He's almost turning one! His birthday is in March.

Also, Atlantean, have the player that wishes to die discuss this with the DM. Let him go out with a super awesome bang!

I'm not gonna' mess with it. It's not me who wants to let the character die. If he's gonna' talk to the DM he needs to do it on his own terms.

Augh. I would like to try D&D and finally finish my basic geek credentials, but I doubt I have the patience to actually sit down, roll dice, and*gasp* roleplay.

Rather out of character for a cleric of Heironius anyhow. Though I doubt you were planning on pulling the trigger.

    Puppy power truly works.

So here I am having a cruddy day due to a combination of allergies beating the everliving hell out of me and work being excessively busy despite being the day of the Superbowl. About an hour before closing I helped two different people with puppies and afterwords I feel strangely better. Not recovered by any means but definitely more upbeat.

Yes, that general type of gasque defined in the first paragraph. And Sweden has a tradition of student unions (membership in one used to be mandatory until just recently), and there is one for my whole home town, which happens to have Sweden's oldest and largest (IIRC) university, which in turn encompasses just about any subject.

Because one union must handle the special interests of all the colleges that make up our university, they can't focus specifically on the needs on one group past a certain extent, and this is what prompted the foundation of a second union specifically aimed to unite the tech and science students and speak for them.

The only hitch: due to something-something, they haven't actually managed to secure enough votes from their own members in order to separate from the real student union and become a student union on their own, so while they've been working actively with the special interests of us students and handled a lot of the real union's work through agreements, they still aren't a student union per se.

Now, during the dinner, one of the speakers refered to our "student union" as "[...] the best make-believe student union [...]" ("make-belive" is my own choice of words, as he held the speech in Swedish), and it just kind of stuck with me.

Personally, I am not sure which aspect of foxes I like better, their crafty nature in folklore, or their cuteness in real life. I don't really care whether they are portrayed as good or evil, the fox always has something up his/her sleeve no matter what the culture of origin is. Then again, compared to the above pictures, both aspects make them cool.

Coyotes too. Except whether in real life or folklore, they are not so innocent. They tend to be much more vicious. Until a human with a weapon comes by, then RUN! But dogs, cattle, and all others beware, for the coyote can come at any time, and if your precious humans aren't there to protect you...

Of course, in reality I suppose it isn't such a petty thing. Still, there is a reason why people like playing games like Grand Theft Auto and other such criminal games, many of us have a certain admiration of our inner criminal.
