Oh gods, don't tempt her, Magtok. You know she would. It's precisely the sort of nonsense that she's capable of. The sloth is enough trouble, we want to have to clean up after an elephant too.

Oh, and because I missed it earlier when he said 'Magtok', a bagel belatedly flings out from his head, tumbling off the paddleboat and into the fiery depths. Damn that Libra and her nefarious magical curses!

"Aargh, that...oh right. I was going to ask you about that. The bagel thing. It's annoying. Did you do that?"

The cyborg doesn't suspect that it was her, but it still wouldn't hurt to ask, right? I mean, so long as she doesn't mistake his tone for accusatory or something. Who knows, maybe she could even magic it away if he asked nicely!

Welcome: Greetings JACK Empty.
Query: Would you like some cake?

A voice says from overhead. I'd say that's new, but it's really just old renewed. Otherwise things look much the same.

"You know, ceiling-voice, I think I would!" Jack turns his grin to the source of the disembodied voice. "Could you tell me where to find our glorious leader, by any chance?"

Then the resident explosives lunatic greets him. The wizard points upward. "That is, I suppose. What is it?"

With a little shrug, the reaper proceeds to all but deny that accusation.
"Would you prefer a brown or gray one?"
Libby watches the bagel fling away with a mildly amused look, failing to look either surprised or guilty.
"Nope, not my doing. Although it's kind of silly.

Hmm...."

Wonder if she could tweak something to cream cheese the bagels on their way out...
Tap tap tap, her finger upon her chin, while she ponders this idea.

he red-head girl tries to punch Stu again.
"Seriously, kill him! He just groped and kissed me! Ew!"

Yeah. Stu completely ignores Becky. You know, with the punching and all.
"Ow! Oh that's it!" Stu goes to punch her back as she's punching him! It'll probably hurt worse for her than it does for him, but she has hit him twice.

Becky sighs.
The last thing she wants is to kill another member* on the first day of the new regime**.
And so she calls on the shadow powers to grab hold of Stu and lift the flower, pot and all, into the air!

The heavenly clad woman stops coughing and looks around.
"Um, excuse me? What's going OM here?"

"After the sloth, wouldn't just be a little too derivative?"

Not Magtok's primary reason for not wanting a giant, ugly, hairy Proboscidean plodding around his lair, of course, but he figures it's just a little more likely than simply whining 'Waaaah, I don't want one! Elephants are lame and ugly and poop a lot!'

"But okay, fine, you win. I noticed the lack of bra. It may or may not have been distracting at some point or another. That's all you're getting out of me. Just that, and not another word."

The cyborg stops to peer at the temperature gauge, trying to avoid thinking about breasts or the fact that Libby has a pair. Only a few minutes left before they have to go, probably. Can't let the heat bubble break down, or he'll be dead in an instant. Unless Libby has some fancy magics in store, of course, but I definitely wouldn't count on a thing like that if I was Mag.

"Well. Maybe. Maybe a mini-mammoth? I hear miniature big-animals are interesting to science."
She may or may not have read that in a journal. Or saw it on TV.
Her sources aren't the best here.

But! Worrying about that isn't necessary, when she can just give a satisfied grin at Magtok relenting a little to her.
That's probably the best she'll get for awhile.

Maybe he won't mind if she sneaks that hug while he's distracted?
It'll be quick! Try not to linger too long, and help with the him being uncomfortable thing.
"Weee! That's acceptable! Hehe, it's okay to notice these things, sometimes~"
Libby doesn't plan on making a habit of that singsong tone right there.
She blames the alcohol.

Sooner or later she should add to this date in ways that aren't just passing around the alcohol.
Sooner or later when she isn't drunk and just enjoy being around Magtok.
Simple tastes, in this one.

"Right, well..."

Magtok isn't quite sure if it's the hug or the weird choice of words that just threw him off. Maybe both. Probably the words more than the hug, though. I mean, it was his idea, even if he didn't act on it.

"Oh! I think we should go soon. S'getting a bit much in here, even with the AC up all the way. If you had some crafty scheme or something for this valcano nonsense that won't work somewhere else, you might want to go ahead and do that now."

Oh no! Magtok's actually gotten to the point where he's expecting flustubbering shenanigans now! Libby's tricks and schemes are at risk of becoming trite and overly familiar!

[Reinholdt]

Glee: Then you shall have cake!
A drone floats out from the kitchen, carrying a rather large cake. Really too heavy for the poor mechanical thing. But it eagerly goes to deliver the cake to Jack anyways.

Notification: Queen Ilpholin is aware of your arrival and shall be along shortly.

[Bunker]

Stu dies all the time. He also doesn't have a pot. That's just ridiculous.

He does have a power suit that can be held down.
"Baby you can hold me down all you like... in my room."

Poor ignored other woman.

"Queen? It's that bad huh?" Jack asks the ceiling. Once the cake is brought out, he gestures for the robot to set it somewhere else. The table, maybe.

[Reinholdt]

*chitter chitter*
"He says life is only as bad as you make it out to be. Maybe even as bad as the cake that thing makes." Ilpholin says as she and Mister Squiggles walk in.

The drone sets the cake down on the table.

"Queen! Your grace!" Jack gives a bow, arm across his chest and foot tipped up in a little flourish. The word 'queen' sounds more like an insult coming off his venomous tongue. "It's an honor to be graced with your presence." He looks up and arches a brow. "Can I ask whatcha did with Gordon an' Mags? The cyborg folded like a cheap suit, didn't he?"

[Reinholdt]

"Gordon is dead, Prometheus is exiled. Magtok helped arrange the coup and is now my second in command. I'm reasonably sure someone got the battle royale on video if you feel the need to watch a dragon get beat up." Ilpholin explains.

[Murkus]

Main Room

"Oh, yes please. So, any plans? I assume there was a little reason for this coup?" Jack steps over to the cake and, with a couple of deft finger-gestures, cuts a small hunk. He doesn't eat, however - merely looks at it a moment before tossing it toward one of his shadows. The piece disappears, and the shadow shudders in place.

"Gordon being a horrible leader and dragging this place down is more than enough reason. And there are to be many changes, several in work on being enacted as we speak. First and foremost though is the membership process. If you wish to remain a member here, you'll have to fill out the new form and have an interview with me."

The black threads in the walls behind Jack and Ilpholin heads start making shapes, for the ones behind Jack's head, it seems to be images that if one looks closely seem hollow and empty. The Ilpholin's head seems to be pictures of victories with the figures having hearts with cracks inside. Should either person turn their head to see behind them the threads go back to their normal patterns.

"Interview? Fine, fine." Jack goes to sit, gesturing toward Ilpholin. "Here's good. Where's this form?"

Then the old god speaks up, and Jack looks at the ceiling again. "Still haven't gotten rid of that thing?"

[Zefir]

"You know, ceiling-voice, I think I would!" Jack turns his grin to the source of the disembodied voice. "Could you tell me where to find our glorious leader, by any chance?"

Then the resident explosives lunatic greets him. The wizard points upward. "That is, I suppose. What is it?"

"I more mean in the 'what are you doing way', if you know what that means."

And then Ilpholin appears. Zefir looks just at her for a moment.

"Prometheus maybe dead as well."

Libby should probably be hurt that the cyborg is suspicious of shenanigans on her part.
But with past tendencies, it would make sense...

As such, she just looks briefly perplexed at the thought that she'd be planning anything in particular for this place.
"Well, I don't really think we can do any of the vent stuff before the heat shield doodad falls apart, can we?
Don't think I'd have any other business here...

Ooh, wait. Are there magma crabs in here?"
Suddenly!
Excited looking reaper.

Resident explosives lunatic? After all he is more sane than other people here.

"I more mean in the 'what are you doing way', if you know what that means."

And then Ilpholin appears. Zefir looks just at her for a moment.

"Prometheus maybe dead as well."

That's quite debatable.

"Just a pun, pal. I've been well. Probably some Leaguers on my tail if it's all going according to plan." Jack glances between Zefir and Ilpholin. He would need to find out how Ilpholin and Magtok got enough power and/or support to take down Gordon.

Ilpholin glances at the threads, but when she blinks, they're gone!
Hmmm...

All the same, there seems to a great deal of uneaten cake on the table no one else is having.

"If you want to personally try to get rid of it, be my guest. Also Prometheus is a hive mind. He's not dead." That's pretty guaranteed.

"Forms are this way." Ilpholin says, turning to lead the way back to her office.

Jack sighs, waves to Zefir, and simply disappears. His hungry shadows stay, however - and the one that got cake moves up to nibble at the edge. By 'nibble' I probably mean absorb small parts of it soundlessly.

When Ilpholin arrives, after the first blink she'll find Empty sitting there with his fingers steepled in his lap. "So we've done away with the old form, huh?"

[Reinholdt]

Ilpholin's Office

"That's correct." Ilpholin says, taking her own seat and pulling out a blank form and a pen from the drawer and sliding it over the desk to Jack.

Mister Squiggles finds a nice corner to crawl up in. Nice and cozy there.

"Magma crabs? What are magma crabs? I don't think I've seen any, but then I've never really gone down here before, so..."

Magtok turns his back on Libby, peering intently over the edge at the valcano around them! Potentially magical creatures might be in here! Magical creatures he could do horrible and twisted and ridiculous experiment on if he caught one! Magma-resistant battle armor and swarms of cyborg crab shock troops could be right around the corner!

[Zefir]

Main Room

Zefir waves back. In fact it isn't save to say if he is dead or not the scene is just going on.

After all Zefir wonders about the shadow.

"Seems like Empty has some strange companion."

Jack gives the new form a quick once-over, waves his hand over the paper, and hands it back to Ilpholin.

Ilpholin takes the form and looks it over.
"So. When did you get your memories back?"

"Never lost em'. Not all of me. The human bit wanted me weakened or gone for reasons he doesn't even remember. That's what the whole 'human again' deal was about. Didn't work. I... got free, a little after that," This Jack does not seem entirely comfortable talking about this, though he's quite good at hiding it. This thoughtform of Jack's still sees itself as him, and has a little trouble distinguishing sometimes. Whether or not it's the true Jack Empty is debatable, but it's certainly a lot more like the old psychopath.

"So there's two of you in there, huh?" And she and Devi enjoyed the human side. Hmmm...

"You mentioned we might have some Leaguers here soon?" That seems like something worth knowing about.

"There was. My worse half is at GLoG," Jack explains, steepling his fingers in his lap. "Speaking of which, yeah, there'll probly be some on their way soon. I've... planted a spy in their camp, so to speak."
