Anyway, if he hadn't picked up a perfect at the last minute, I'm pretty certain I could have killed him in one turn by discharging it.

Letsee. The attack is at Accuracy 35 (base 27 + stunt 3 + virtue 5). Assuming half of those are successes, that's 18 dice. He has a -2 to his DVs thanks to ISS, so that's a DV of 5. Assuming he uses his three die stunt, that's a DV of 8. 10 sux go through. Base damage is 22 dice (base 14 + stunt 3 + virtue 5), plus 10, for a total of 32 dice being rolled. 16 successes, plus 5 automatic ones, for 21 damage that ignores Hardness and Soak. Steps 7-10 of the attack repeat due to Flashing Edge of Dawn, so that's about 41L levels of damage he's taking.

Because A) You REALLY WANT TO AVOIDANCE KATA AWAY and B) Ligier is outside fate so he demonstrates what parts of the charm still function or not against beings outside fate.
Besides, Ligier loves a good drink. Sometimes he goes out with Florivet and a couple other buddies and they all find out how much alcohol it takes to get a demon drunk.

Ligier's summoning condition is when someone creates some sort of singular, glorious masterpiece. One of the former villains in my last game (Defeat Equals Friendship) was a genius sufficiently talented that Ligier just kind of lounged around at his place and was generally unhelpful to the party. Except when the pair created a magical pill that temporarily raised your XP. They called it Liagra.

So the point I was originally trying to make was that somewhere in Creation lies a bar where the drinks are mixed so perfectly that even the Demon Prince himself shows up from time to time. My money's on Nexus or Great Forks because a devilishly handsome man with fire shooting out of his hair would actually manage to pass for normal.

It was creepily similar, too. I blame MadLetter's "complete" charm trees being incomplete.
