Yeah, actually, when we booked last week we got stuck with a smoking room. They told us they didn't have any double bed rooms that were non-smoking any more.

Spiff. Most of my shots will probably be saturday at the ropes course. I may take a few at Mid City.

Since you brought this sort of thing up, do we want to attempt to organize a real group shot this year? We've mentioned this in the past - usually as a post-mortem vis a vis "man, we really should have done that."

If so, I suggest we do it at the ropes course saturday afternoon. Mid City (where we've attempted this with whoever was left a couple of times) is a bit ill-suited in a couple of ways. I'd also suggest that it gets put on the "schedule" at a specific(ish) time/place, otherwise it probably won't happen...

Just a thought.

Discovered that I hadn't made my hotel reservations earlier when I was looking through my records. Had to book one night at a time to get a non-smoking room at the Comfort Inn. Hope nobody else procrastinated, because that may have been the last non-smoking room available for at least a couple of those nights.

Weak. Are you sharing a room with anyone, Mango? If not, would you mind? Pretty sure Steven only sleeps 4-5 hours a night and won't be disturbed by snoring. *smirk*

I promise I only take up an itty bitty amount of space on a floor somewhere. I'm potty trained and can provide disemboweled tauntaun levels of warmth should the power fail. My guts don't even smell that bad! Honest!

The only warning I had was this squeeeing sound followed by a high-pitched "Lex!!" It was the stuff of dreams... I mean, uh, nightmares. Yeah, horrifying.

I know you guys weren't expecting me.. because of the amount I have been required to be flakey in the last couple years... but I was trying to move heaven and earth in order to come.

But alas, it doesn't look like I will be able to. I wanted to bring Matt with me so everyone could meet him, but with him getting a 'new' job (He's being hired in permanently at is company), he won't be able to make it.

Then I have no money, though he has offered to loan me the money, I don't like to borrow money from people. And I have 2 weeks to catch up on all the wedding stuff, see friends I haven't seen here in months (if not years), work on some application stuff, and do all the other stuff that I got behind on while I was working 12-16 hours every 4 days (including weekends) for the last couple months. With me facing 12 hour days 5 days a week coming up. :(

So all that is wordy and to say I can't come even though I really really wanted to. :(

After next July it will be easier for me to schedule time off. But next year's meet up is likely a no go, even if I manage ending up living close to TN.

Because the meetup will likely be the weekend before I can officially begin killing people. Well... trying not to kill people that is... which is why I can't start it low on sleep. I am sure you guys will understand.

I think the answer to most of your questions is "whatever". We do suggest clothing, mostly because you wouldn't want to step on Indy's trademark.

This is definitely a formal weekend. You should wear a tux. Because tuxes are hot.
