"Well, people want you to be a lot of things. They all desire you, isn't that kinda cool?" Hannah suggests with a smile, trying to comfort Kate.

Meanwhile however she can't help to look around deeper into Kate's mind for secret desires and other secrets she was keeping from her. She really shouldn't but at this point she couldn't help herself.

"Just give me a second to think. Just, give me a second."

Hmm... Well, here's that part of Kate that likes to play war games. Looks like she has a manipulative streak buried down here, that's never used due to her conscience. All said and done, this is probably for the better.

Okay... hey, looks like some part of Kate is a little adventurous! It's just buried under all the paranoia and self-preservation.

Speaking of paranoia, it's probably better to avoid that part of her personality. While it doesn't seem to be buried very deep, the truth is that only the tip of the iceberg actually has much effect on her personality.

Okay... hey, it looks like she has a motherly instinct! Aww, she wants to get married and have children someday. Albeit, this part of her is all but forgotten in the chaos of the nexus; making a family is the last thing on her mind.

...oh, hey. Kate wants a pet! She would like to have a pet cat, but hasn't done anything about it because she doesn't want to mess with the details like feeding it and whatnot while she is still only in an apartment. Her apartment allows pets, but Kate doesn't want to put that extra strain on her budget... or roommate.

Defelent's House

There's a carton of pineapple and coconut juice in the fridge, or some mango juice if Naethalee prefers.

"Would you mind just watching the bacon briefly whilst I check on Defelent?" Tracy looks across at Naethalee, slightly worried but much more confident in herself as she is both somewhere she associates with safety and away from Defelent. Though she is still wearing a very tight, midriff-bearing short-sleeved top and very short shorts.

The mango juice gets seized with eagerness!
"I can certainly do that," Naethalee says, giving Tracy a smile and nod, and making a note to acquire some additional clothes for the poor catgirl.

Defelent's House

Unfortunately, whilst Tracy gets to choose the exact clothes she wears, Defelent gets to choose the styles. And if Defelent doesn't like the clothing Tracy wants, she won't get it.

Meanwhile, Tracy nods, smiles and leaves, quickly dashing up the stairs to Defelent's room. The bacon continues to sizzle; it's nearly ready.

Naethalee plans to try and do something about that.

For now, though, she watches the pot, to be sure it won't boil.

Tracy might be allowed to wear the clothes when Defelent knows Naethalee is visiting to prove the gift is in use.

Also, it's a pan, not a pot, and frying rather than boiling. But it's the same principle, yes.

Shortly after she left, Tracy returns. "He's a bit groggy, but he's awake now. Which is good; breakfast will be ready soon." Tracy quickly starts to dish out the bacon, eggs, mushrooms and black pudding.

Actually, it's your wife I want to talk to. Bianca finds a nice place to sit. So, how's the normal life suiting you?

It's been good. Judy watches Bianca suspiciously. You want something to drink?

Can I trust you not to poison it?

Of course. Judy grins.

Bianca grins back. I don't think so.

Judy and Bianca sit in silence, neither not knowing what to say to one another.

And then at once, they begin to speak. WHhavate ydiodu ynoouticweadntnotoosnpeeealksetohaMsinttrieabdotuot?kill you?

They both stare at one another blankly, then begin laughing.

Bianca and Judy are still waiting for Mint. Judy's drinking orange juice, while Bianca's drinking whiskey.

So many things...

She didn't want to Kate to hate her so she couldn't really change any of the things she find. Unless she made Kate immortal somehow, then she didn't need to worry about self-preservation anymore!

No... that would a pretty bad idea. Kate might not want to be immortal.

Maybe is she just gave Kate more money? That way she could choose herself what to do. But anyone could give Kate money, no, she needed something special, something that would make Kate trust her.

"What about I give you a mechanical kitty? That'll cheer you up right?" She asks after a brief pause.

And unless Kate stop her a mecha-kitty with the personality of the nearest living sapient kitty is summoned at Kate's feet.

"AHHHHHHH...."
Mecha-kitty seems to be screaming about something.

"HuhAAAAHHH!"

oh my word now there is a screaming synthetic cat in the room what is going on oh snap oh snap oh snap

Hannah stares at the screaming duo looking rather confused, what were they screaming about? Did she do something wrong again? Ugh, clearly she shouldn't use these powers at all.

"Uh, sorry?" She asks, shrinking down a bit. She didn't even know what was wrong.

Kate's Apartment

And now other people are screaming and this sure wasn't the place it was before this and why does its voice sound so weird and...
"AHHHHHHHHHHHH...."

Seems an appropriate response.

Kate stops screaming, instead picking up the mechanokitty and petting it.

"Okay, easy there. Easy. Calm down. Okay, Hannah, what did you do, exactly? I doubt you intended this to happen."

Yes. Just, take these things one step at a time. Calm the situation down, figure out what's going on, and try to fix the problems. With a bit of luck, there won't be any permanent damage.

"I just wanted to give you a pet that you didn't need to feed and take care of that much." Hannah explains. "I didn't want everyone to scream all of sudden." <.< She admits sheepishly.

"GAH! Who are you?! Where's Arel? Where am I?! What's going on?! What happened to the fire?!"

"I'm Kate Kyland, and this is Hannah. Something happened, just give me a second to figure out what."

Kate will pet the confused mechanokitty. Poor guy.

"Okay, Hannah, we know what you were trying to do, but the question is what you did to accomplish it. Can you think back and figure out what you did? Step by step. Any details would be helpful."

"Umm... I just wanted to give you an intelligent pet you didn't need to take care of all that much and he appeared, that's it." Hannah explains. "I have no idea what he's talking about really." She did have a clue, but she didn't want to tell Kate that.

Reinholdt is currently feeling his own face and looking at himself and still freaking out. The pets help a bit.

"What did you people do to me?! Is Arel ok? What happened to Bobbie?"

He's calming down. Slowly.

[Hannah's Mind]

Hannah may feel something trying to contact her. It's got a lot of presence to it, but it's being polite enough to stay out at first. It's pretty much the psychic equivalent of asking permission to start a conversation.

Kate frowns a bit. "Are you sure? You have no clue what actually happened?"

She looks at the cat. "I'm sorry, but Hannah is a powerful and new being. So, when she tries to do things they don't always go as planned. You are probably a copy of someone... who is currently in a burning building, I take it? What do you want to do?"

What? Uh, who are you? She asks whoever is trying to contact her.

"Yeah! Stuff just happened, I wanted to give Kate here a pet and you came into being. I didn't really mean to hurt you." Hannah says.

"I... came into being? I'm a copy?"

My name is Cosiellio. I'm Kate's Deity. more or less. I'm mostly just looking for your intentions towards her; you have a surprisingly great amount of presence for a human, after all.

Kate will give him the address, date, and time. It should only be a little bit after when Rein was mindcloned, but it may be different depending on timeline shenanigans.

"I bet this is odd for you. I... look, feel free to take as long as you need to think about this okay. There's some ice cream in the freezer if you want some."

And by "some" she means "I'm not sure how that all fits in there, it's pushing the realms of physical possibility."

"I could unmake you if you want to." Hannah suggests to mecha-rein with a smile.

[Hannah's Mind]

Uhu... well, I just want to help her so there it is. No need to look after me... you might want to look after a girl named Copi though. I think I might done something bad to her. She got me really angry so I created a doll body for her.

... where is she? I need to go and help her.

Kate's Apartment


"No, it's just... we were being attacked and I should go help if I can!" Reinholdt explains. He doesn't want the Animal Shelter burned down or the people with it.

"Okay."

Kate will open the door to let him out. "End of the hall, on the left is the nearest stairway. It's a lot faster than the elevator. Don't think about where you are, think about where you're going; I find it can shave minutes off of the travel time. Good luck!"

Mecha-Rein just about starts to leave before stopping.
"Wait. Come with me. If the place is on fire, I need someone to help me rescue people." By people he means kittens.

He would do it himself, but he's noticed a distinct inability to shift forms right now.

Kate shakes her head. "I would like to help, but I can't fight attackers, or fire, and I'm not strong enough to lift people and drag carry them out or anything. I'm afraid I would just get in the way."

Silly girl seems to have forgotten the energy shield, arm blade, the laser arm that she can put on, her jump boots, and the pixie dust. All those things could be useful in such a situation.
