He's already sending his personal imps to check out the listings. Oh yeaaaah.

Arel isn't really sure how to explain. She can't even remember most of the night. "It was something else. We had to go to a park to find someone, and we were attacked. Then this happened." It sounds so stupid when she says it out loud like that. And why doesn't she feel more freaked out about all this. In fact, she feels strangely calm.


Meanwhile, look at that! Cynthia comes up behind Astrana and tugs on her pants. "Hi Astrana." She says smiling up at the tiefling. She's somehow managed to acquire a pretty lilac dress... huh. At least she's still holding the tshirt and jeans she was wearing before.

"I do not doubt you, Mayhala." Winguardia replies. A note of anguish begins to creep into her voice, and it grows the more she speaks. "It is strange for there to be so little blood... unless it was a strangling or the work of a vampire..." That last comment may raise questions for Mayhala, as Winguardia did not ever explain in detail what her vampire background entailed. "This may be my fault."

Winguardia slowly folds up her wings over her back again. Just then she hears Rhyan's sudden announcement, and turns to face the half-drow and the window. "Perhaps they did see something... if you wish to ask, Rhyan, then I would appreciate any news you can find."

Winguardia closes her eyes and then takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly. Finally she seems ready for whatever comes next.

Rhyan nods, and heads for the door.

"Alright then! Scan away. If it won't take long I will have a look about while you do. If you'll need a day or two, let me know and I'll come back." Wes smiles widely.

Should the thief character be here at the same time, Westlanna just might notice the other ... (young woman?) in the store.

"Oh, it'll only take about fifteen minutes," Aeryn says brightly, with a smile.

Ally selects a handheld plasma cutter that she can just barely afford, then heads to the counter. She tries to get a closer look at the book, to determine what it's made out of and what the cover looks like, and then smiles at Erin. Neat store you got here. Haven't seen this many weapons in one place since I toured the Royal Armory back home. It was a self-guided tour. At night. She's a thief.

The book looks like a plain old little black book!
It's made out of rrrrrrich Corinthian leather.
"Thank you. It took awhile to get everything set up, but I pride myself on having anything someone might want," Aeryn says with a smile as she rings up Ally's purchase.

When Rhyan crosses the street she will find an aging little house with ugly siding and a sagging front step that is otherwise fastidiously well-kept. The big front door is shut and locked. The curtains are pulled in the windows. There is a little light shining to the left of the door illuminating the doorbell.

((I just want to double-check before my next post: Rhyan is half-drow and has the characteristic white hair, dark skin and long ears, yes?))

"Well, in that case I'll just have a look around and see if I can't find something else that I love more than I like my new hard-earned cash, yes?" Wes says with a little wink as she turns to look around the store.

Should she and Alley be here at the same time, Wes will nod to the other gal in greeting.

"Right," Kuko nods in agreement. Honesty, best policy. He's never had any doubt of that. Not that he would ever lie to those people, but it's easy enough to dance around the truth. If Ashley follows he'll lead the way to the the building from the map.

Ashley follows Kuko all the way to the building. She wonders how best to go about this, thinking that she can't just directly tell her intents to the worshipers.

Astrana is ready to facepalm as she see Cynthia, "Where have you been? Don't tell me you stole that dress?" She asks in a less angry tone then she had intended. Usually she tended to go off at things like this but Cynthia seemed to at least mentally just be a little girl.

"Nuh uh. I was just looking at it and the nice lady at the store gave it to me." She says sheepishly. Apparently Cynthia believes that 'the store' is enough to answer where she's been. "Isn't it pretty though?" She can't suppress how delighted she is with it anymore and smiles wide.

Fukayna flicks her tail in frustration.

"Mmmrow. Well this is distressing."

The cat paces a moment or two longer, before abruptly turning toward Astrana and Cynthia. She seems both suspicious and curious.

"And who are you?"

"Very well, I'll talk to you tomorrow then. Meet me at the following spot in the Red Zone."
He gave her the address.

She nods and goes into her apartment with her books.

The tiefling shakes her head at Cynthia's silliness, "Yeah I guess it's pretty." She admits before turning her attention back to the cat who previously ignored her. "I'm a friend to them." She says cryptically while gesturing towards Arel and Reinholdt. "And you're a servant of Bast I assume?"

Cynthia grins at Astrana. But then a talking cat. "Hi, I'm Cynthia." She says cheerily. "What's your name?"

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt remains quiet for now, digesting everything. Was this Arel's friend that she mentioned was coming by some time?

The black and white cat's eyes flash with indignation when Astrana speaks, but she dips her head in greeting anyway, if a bit stiffly.

"I am Fukayna, Daughter of Bast."

"Yeah, we met a little while ago." Arel speaks up. "I knew she was coming sometime." She knew nothing about Cynthia, but maybe the girl is some relative of Astrana's? They have some resemblance.

Astrana was used to that glance, it was her job dealing with beings who thought themselves superior to her in every way. Of course, she didn't really feel up dealing with Bast or her servants after all that so she cut the ass-kissing. She hated that part of the job anyway.

"Nice name, I'm Astrana. Where are you going to move now that the shelter need repairs?"

[Reinholdt]

"I don't think the fire was too bad. We'll need a new bed, certainly. And helping finding all the kitties that ran away I suppose." Reinholdt explains.

"Has anyone seen Bobbie?"

"The temple will still serve adequately, if not as comfortable as before."

Anyway, they do have insurance. They'd be crazy not to in the Nexus! Fukayna flicks her ears toward Reinholdt.

"Our fellows will come back, do not worry. They will find their way to Bast. Chione can round up those who stray too far. But I have not seen your other female this night."

Arel frowns at 'your other woman'. Even after everything that's happened, she still can't help let that twinge of jealousy get to her. She just shakes her head in response to the question, though.

((White hair, grayish skin, and smaller ears but somewhat pointed - rather like Vulcan ears, I'd think. ))

And Rhyan knocks, three times!

Aeryn chuckles. "I certainly won't have any objection to that," she declares with a grin, as she sets about scanning the tricorder for reproduction!

And Wes can find anything she'd imagine in the way of weaponry, and quite a few things she probably can't.

There’s a bit of rustling from inside the house, then heavy footsteps followed by a raspy voice. “Who are ya and whad’da ya want?” A shadow moves past the curtain that still has the slightest part in it. Rhyan cannot see in, but she can bet whoever is inside can see out.

I can think of no insurance company that would not go broke very swiftly in the Nexus. The idea is to guard against rare and expensive events! If the events aren't rare the entire model collapses. D=

"Hope she's all right..." Reinholdt says quietly to himself. Last he can vaguely remember, she was leaping in to fight the goblin. It'd be terrible if something horrible happened to everyone tonight.

"Let's just... get inside and sit down." Reinholdt says, suddenly feeling quite tired as he goes to do just that.

The tiefling glances at the temple skeptically, well, she guessed she'd slept at worst places...

She glances at Rein and Arel, "Are you guys going to be okay? You might need to have those vines looked over Arel..." She tells the angel with a meaningful look.

Arel feels a stab of guilt. What was she thinking, she should be worried about what might have happened to Bobbie too.

Arel nods in response to Astrana. "We'll be fine." She says, not really sounding all that fine. "And I know. Right now I just want to sit down, though." She's not even sure where she'd go to have the vines looked at, or what anyone could tell her.

Fukayna, thinking Arel and Reinholdt have the right idea, pads over to one of the shelter's fluffy cat cushions and takes a seat. She stares unblinkingly at the three people, tail flicking occasionally. The cat has nothing else to say, it seems.
