"Something like that, but not quite. Kate has a sort-of-clone now, that she's worried about, and I'm not sure what one wants the other to know. I'll fill you in on the rest later Eric." Now, she just has to figure out what to do with Kate.

"I don't suppose you and Sophie have been keeping in touch, have you? I haven't heard much about what I'm supposed to be doing for this whole redemption thing lately, or how far along I might be. Kind of worrying, to be honest." She understands they were giving her time, with the pregnancy, but that didn't make her urges any less pressing.

"Oh... no I haven't. I should be, shouldn't I? And... honestly, I don't think that there is a solid program."

Hmm...

"If you've had any trouble, you can tell me, of course. If you ever need help, feel free to ask!"

And Eric is here, too, and he's Probably just as willing to help! And Sophie is also probably willing to help. And Reelshka... and with children, she must feel some internal pressure to improve so she can be a good mother!

Kate is happy to be a part of a not-quite network of people willing to help Julie!

"I'll talk to you or Sophie at the first sign of trouble, sure." Well that wasn't exactly comforting, not knowing whether or not there was an established program for these things kind of worried Julie. Still, Sophie said she'd look for ways to make that alternative option of hers work.

"So, have you given any more thought to that offer? I suppose now that you've got a new job you'll be too busy to be on the council." Which is somewhat of a shame, but Julie can be happy Kate is working again at least. Not every nice thing she does has to work out.

"Oh, yeah. Yeah... I don't think it's for me. At least not right now. I would want to put all the work of a full-time job into it, and I just got a job... and It might be a tall calling, at that."

She shakes her head. "I'll keep it in mind, of course, but I just don't think It's right for me right now."

Subconciously? She's trying to keep a hold on a "normal" life by getting and having a "normal" job, as opposed to the odd "GLoG councilor" that would basically be admitting that there is no way that she can hold a normal life.

Let the girl's subconsciousness squirm uncomfortably; it can't pretend forever.

Half of the refugee children are asleep before they lie down. Kenneth collapses in a chair, takes a deep and comfortable breath, and watches Shrike take her seat. He'd ask if Shrike had any children of her own - she seemed the type - but decided now wasn't the time. He'd prefer to just... tell her and sleep. Confusion and shock had finally given way to complete exhaustion.

"A man came to our village. He came to the kids, one at a time, sometimes two. He'd play a game for something he called a 'Ba'." Kenneth scowls. "It means soul. He wouldn't just give them back, so he asked the parents for theirs. A hostage... thing." His scowl falls into something more saddening. "He took them all. They just... left. He killed the people who got in the way."

Caroline and Vincent find Sophie. Hello. I was hoping you could give us some guidance?

Sophie looks at Vincent and Caroline with surprise. She only met them once and doesn't remember them. Oh? Well, of course. What do you need to know?

Brinika is sitting on a tree stump and appears to be trying to play a pair of drums with an uncharacteristically focused expression. Caretaker is hovering in front of her.

Sophie looks at Vincent and Caroline with surprise. She only met them once and doesn't remember them. Oh? Well, of course. What do you need to know?

Vincent wants to know if he should grow older.

Renetta is sitting at the lake's edge alongside Waterstrider, looking out over the water and smiling gently. She nuzzles against her love and places her free hand over her swollen belly.

She looks rather different than usual, of course. For a while now she's appeared very much like a red furred wolfen. She's wearing the wolfen clothing that Waterstrider provided for her, though she's not exactly comfortable in it yet. Even with fur she's still uncertain about wearing so little.

Her eyelids start to droop, but they suddenly fly open a moment later. "Oh." She sits up straighter, her eyes wide. "Waterstrider, Watersrtrider! I think the baby's coming!" If she was sleepy before, she's certainly not now.

Lily, who is TOTALLY JEALOUS of Renetta, as well as idolizing her, jumps up and down, quivering in excitement. "Oooh! Should I get mama?"

Waterstrider gets up from being nearly submerged in the lake and rushes to Renetta's side, tail wagging even though he looks rather concerned. "Do you want me to take you to the Hut, or the Infirmary?"

Infirmary

H-Here...Mrs....Dr. Quinn. M-My measurements. Marty hands her his notepad with measures written down, Oh...G-Good luck t-to the baby. He smiles a little. He then starts leaving the infirmary and heading over to The Sapling Cabin! He sees new stuff! He can help! He walks in, H-Hello? Is this a n-new cabin?

"The infirmary, and you can get you mom, Lily." As much as the hut is comfortable and feels the most like home, she'd like to be in the infirmary. Now just to stay calm. She's ready for this... definitely. She'll be helped up and guided to the infirmary just as soon as Waterstrider helps her.

Lily is off like a shot. It won't take her long to find her mother. Pansy will probably get to the infirmary before Renetta does.

He'll find the halfling woman, Pansy Applehill, setting up a changing table. "How do you do. I'm..."

And then Lily Applehill, age 7, comes tearing in at high speed. "Mama! Mama! Renetta'shavingherbaby!" She announces, and grabs her mother's hand. "They'regoingtotheinfirmary! Hurry Hurry!"

And Pansy is dragged off, giving Marty an apologetic look over her shoulder.

Marty laughs at the litle child running so very fast he just smiles at Pansy and sits in a little chair. He examines his hands now. The left one had a burn mark in the palm. The mark of A Cylarian criminal, a murderer.

Zamira looks at Kenneth from where she is on the desk. "...is he still in the village?"

"No. He's long gone." Kenneth looks remarkably bitter for someone so young. No shock there.

Raira looks ready to cry, but that would probably use more water than she has to spare right now. "There's nothing left."

[Andy's Room]

Lucy curiously look after the cleaning robot for a while, sitting completely quietly. Given her lack of life signs, she looks quite a lot like a corpse frozen in death until she suddenly speaks.

"Excuse me, sir? But I was wondering if I will be needed soon, I have yet to look around this wonderful league's grounds, and it seems I do not need as much rest as I used to"

She says, her tone friendly and polite as usual. Even if she was animated by a maddening evil, that was no reason for her to be rude.

Sophie blinks. Okay, I think I need some context. Why wouldn't you want to grow older? And what makes it a decision as opposed to something that happens naturally?

Waterstrider nuzzles his beloved before picking her up gingerly and carrying her to the Infirmary as gently as he can. He didn't want to cause any discomfort. Looking down at her, he smiles. "She's going to be beautiful." He promises.

Renetta hugs herself against Waterstrider as he carries her. "I know she will." She's suddenly scared to death of the idea of giving birth, or buried fears are resurfacing. She knows everything will be okay with Waterstrider with her, though.

"I don't age naturally. I stay the same age forever until the game is over usually, with a few exceptions." Vincent explains.

Although Kate's motivations are completely foreign to Julie (being normal was never really "her thing") the succubus sort of understood the end result, and could accept it.

"Well I'm still glad for you, even if you won't be around all that often, what with settling in to your new job. Still, don't let it stop you from dropping by when you have a spare moment, okay?" Julie's not really sure where to take the conversation from here. It was awkard enough to talk with someone while your back was turned to them, let alone while you were breastfeeding and they were clearly uncomfortable with it.

There was one other thing though, "What was Pansy and Sophie talking about when I arrived anyway? They seemed rather excited about it." It was something to do with children, but Julie had only caught the tail end of the conversation.
