Badass.
No - (but only just).
Redcloak - he is no Xykon but oh well he is still a compelling character.

That's not the real question. Of course he was affected, it is shown in the strip, but less severely than the others, not counting the lizard-priest or the imp. So no.
O-chul.

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
I hope so. Enough that I'm going to vote "yes" even though I'm really unsure.
Minor hero or major villain, eh...The comic's story needs Redcloak and it does not actually need O-Chul, as such. However, regardless, I'm going to vote for O-Chul.Orth Plays: Currently Baldur's Gate II

Extremely
Yes, though the fact he's higher level that Thog may throw a wrench in their plan.
Come on O'chul. This is the man who forgave Belkar for leaving him behind and immediately threatened him if he did the same to anyone else. Talk about a hero!

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
No, he won't be affected, or at least not much. Half because his stance in the last panel is more defiant than the others; he's not falling backwards like the others, he's holding his ground. And half because he's Tarquin and Rich won't let him go down that quickly. Next comic, maybe, when Roy and Belkar arrive to finish off any survivors, but I think this would be too sudden.

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
Yes, Tarquin was affected - it's pretty obvious from his reaction.
Redcloak, easily.

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
Yes. I'm guessing that Rich has Tarquin holding his hand to his eye for a reason.
And O-Chul. I have a colossal amount of respect for the man, and although Redcloak is an excellent and compelling villain, I can't turn my back on someone whom he tortured for months.Number of Character Appearances VII - To Absent Friends

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
No.
After his cold, monument-like impassivity as Tsukiko died in the hands of her wights, it came across strongly that he is truly one of the comic's greater lords of darkness. I'm afraid O-Chul can't compete with the significance of a villain of that scope.Spoiler
So the song runs on, with shift and change,
Through the years that have no name,
And the late notes soar to a higher range,
But the theme is still the same.
Man's battle-cry and the guns' reply
Blend in with the old, old rhyme
That was traced in the score of the strata marks
While millenniums winked like campfire sparks
Down the winds of unguessed time. -- 4th Stanza, The Bad Lands, Badger Clark

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
No, there was a whole lot of care taken to make sure OOTS does not know who is the melee character (the mask under a helm, as well as the door closing so Malak cannot be seen). So even if they do not think it is Thog, the would assume the LG picked up a lvl equivilant replacement, like they have many times before. But I do think Tarquin will pretend that it effected him.

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
Badass. Sorry Durkon, although this one was wicked cool you haven't done enough to earn "extremely" in my book.
Yes. It'd be pretty boring if a high level spell caster can't do anything to him.
I love both of them, but for the sake of trying to have a competition I'm going with O-chul.Last edited by Cizak; 2012-07-28 at 03:41 PM.

I'll say yes. He might not be affected as much as some of the other members, but being affected is still being affected.

No, but that's alright. Immunity to Holy Word does not equate to immunity to Righteous Might as a prelude to getting whacked in the face with a hammer over and over.
