Korug grinned wickedly as he endured the god's onslaught, and it only widened as he saw Apollo die and fall under his control.
"My servant! Finish the sea god!" he yelled loudly.
He then turned his attention back to his own combat, twirling his chain for another series of attacks. He knew even Hercules couldn't hold on forever, and he was intent on bringing this worthy enemy into his control.

Anduilas grimaced as the blast surged towards him. Without even thinking, Anduilas jumped high in the air, way out of reach of the blast. The blast was large and fearsome, but Anduilas had not intention of even being struck by it. Poseidon could only look up in awe as Anduilas soared over the carnage.

Flying in the air, Anduilas shook his head. "Why do you resist this Poseidon? Don't you recognize a losing battle when you see one? I have no interest in wasting effort on you. Begone."

Kai'ckul takes the assault head-on. He wields Hephaestus skillfully but through sheer chance the Nightmare Beast's jaws manage to slip past and rip off his right leg. But such a grievous injury is of no importance for a being of myth and legend.

Kai'ckul disappears from the beast's sight to reappear a moment later above it suspended in midair as if gravity held no sway over him. Raising the forge god high above his head, Kai'ckul sends a battery of large powerful strokes raining down upon his own creation yet again. Hephaestus, on the other hand, can barely give out a scream but it is lost in the wind created in his passing.

Hercules falters, Betrayal's vicious blows taking their tole. However, the God of Strength is not an easy opponent to finish. Roaring with rage, he begins to grow, swiftly overtaking the largest dragon in size. Thus strengthened, he slams his club down on Korug, trying to mash this puny foe into powder. Although obviously outmatched, the sheer stubbornness of Hercules is stronger than any misgivings he might feel.

Meanwhile, Poseidon's smile disappears as Luck simply jumps out of the way of his attack. No matter how hard the God tries, Luck seemed invincible to attack! Likewise, Law stands up from the ashes left by the Godly strike, his armor still shining bright as ever. The two Incarnations merely stare at their attacker, daring him to try once more.
A thrill of terror goes through the once fearless God. He had not known just how powerful these Incarnations had become. And somehow he was facing down two of them with no backup of any kind? Marshaling his resolve, he prepares to attack again, but he sees something out of the corner of hsi eye. Glancing over, he sees the body of his fellow God leaping for him, still glowing with a dim light as it slams at him with its fists. And with that, Poseidon loses all will to fight. The Earth Shaker collapses into water, crashing away across the barren field with the sound of booming surf. Discretion is the better part of valor, even for Gods.

Hecate, however, has no intention of retreating. She's managed to rip off one of the Starchild's legs, and for now, at least, she is completely safe from attack, her new form absorbing all damage. The Nightmare hisses as Hephaestus slams into its face, forcing it to its knees with awful power. With Kai'ckul's final blow, however, the Forge God breaks, his spine shattering. The pent up volcanic forces in his body explode outward in a fiery blast, knocking the Nightmare beast back and showering the battlefield with lava. The ground bubbles and hisses as it begins melting, this lava being far hotter than any normal melted rock.

Shaking its head, Hecate rises from the ground. Despite the leg still clamped in her mouth, she still seems unable to do any real damage to Kai'ckul by relying on his creation. However, her own powers might make up the difference. With a soft, sighing sound, the battlefield seems to go pitch black for a second. When it returns to normal, the Nightmare is wreathed in a corona of flickering black flames. Under this baleful aura, its claws lengthen, its mouth widens, and its form grows smaller and more twisted. Its wings have become part of the darkness, half transparent as they twitch to the rhythm of its fast beating hearts. Hecate leaps into the air, leaving a trail of shadow behind her as she slashes at the Starchild, her claws tearing through any mortal defense and leaving grievous wounds.

As the battle rages below, the Lady of Pain raises an ornate goblet to meet Anon's toast. "To the last living beings in the Multiverse, when all is said and done. To us." She drinks, then dabs her lips delicately with a napkin made from screaming larval souls. Looking down at the lava-strewn field of battle, she shakes her head disapprovingly.
"They're still arguing! I would have thought things would be settled by now." She looks up at Anon with an eyebrow raised. "What do you think, should we finish things for them? Or just let them have their fun?"

Looking down, Anduilas smiled as he saw Poseidon wash away like the tide. He had barely even moved a finger, and the great God has simply moved out of the way. "Poseidon! You will have to be much stronger than that if you wish to challenge us!" he said with a laugh, trying to make his jest as loud as possible.

Looking back at the other Gods, he saw the entire battlefield erupt in lava. Wondering how he could possibly help, he drifted down closer to the scene.

"Well, the situation is only getting worse as I wait," he said as he looked around. Only Herucles and Hectate were left in the fight, but he wasn't sure if he could actually help. Looking on, he stood by the side to make sure his luck would ensure things would not go awry.

The force of the explosion caused by the forge god's death throes sends Kai'ckul quite a distance and he has barely recovered when he sees the Nightmare Beast charging headlong into him wreathed in a corona of black flames. He hesitates a second as if questioning his current course of action before a flick of his wrist causes space and time to warp the area around Hecate and her thrall.

To onlookers, Hecate and the Nightmare Beast speed horrendously fast towards the Star Child but the distance between them hardly changes from the point in time when he flicked his wrist.

Knowing that what he says will take a few moments to reach Hecate, Kai'ckul takes a few moments to gloat.
"You are really out of your element "Witch". There are things here beyond even your ken, O Keeper of Secrets."

He then picks up the fallen forge god's hammer then appears quite some distance away.

Hammer in hand, Kai'ckul gives it a few quick twirls before slamming it butt into the earth. "The area surrounding me is now sacrosanct! No one shall use a slashing claw, nor ferocious bite, nor stinging tail nor any other weapon made from thine own self! Anyone or anything that does break this decree shall be henceforth castigated by the very firmament of the multiverse!"

Korug took only a warrior's glance to the scene around him. It was all just background to him in his battle against Hercules. Hecate stops, her Nightmare snarling, as the very fabric of space warps around her, preventing from reaching her target. Turning her snapping jaws toward him, she begins to charge once more- but with the pronouncement still ringing through the air, she decides this would be unwise. Although she is loathe to admit it, this Star Child is more than capable of fending off her attacks. Still, any Incarnation would do. She swiftly scans the battlefield, taking in the other combatants. Luck and Law are still just as powerful as ever, both nigh invulnerable to the Beast's attacks, and after seeing how swiftly Anon and the Lady disposed of Apollo, Hecate is none too keen on taking them on. Betrayal, on the other hand, is already distracted by Hercules. Better to gang up on one Incarnation than attack them all at once. Lowering the Beast's head, she charges.

Meanwhile, Hercules staggers back, his head bleeding from the constant pounding of Korug's chain. He stumbles as the deadly music of romantic pain washes over him, almost losing his footing in the blood pooled at his feet. But the God of Strength does not give up until the bitter end, and with a mighty yell he whirls his club around, smashing at Korug with all his might. He grimaces, gnashing his teeth at the Incarnation...and then his eyes widen with hope as the Hecate-Beast rams into Korug from behind, vicious talons raking into him with brutal force.

As Luck circles the battlefield, providing aid to his fellow Incarnations, a small yellow blob appears, hovering by his shoulder. The Slaadi blinks at him with a bored expression, and then gives a yawn that literally splits it in half.
"Ya might want ta get outa the way, govner. Fightin's for those wot fight, and I might just be joinin' em." It continues to multiply, covering an expanding area of ground with small yellow blobs. Crackling arcs of lightning connect the blobs together, and a faint hum can be heard over the roar of the Nightmare.

Meanwhile, high above, the Lady lets Anon sweep her into an airborne waltz, Her Painfulness dancing with an uncanny precision. She now wears a blood red ball gown, which seems to have serrated teeth sewn into the stitches.
"Why, I remember this song! I heard it as a young girl, from the Achrian Slayking. You have excellent taste in music, my sweet." Glancing down at the raging fight, she gives a small sigh of annoyance as Hecate's dark powers cover Korug in a blanket of darkness. Without pausing in her dance, she joins in the song, her notes flying down and covering her fellow Incarnation in a ward of Positive energy.
"No reason we shouldn't nudge things in the right direction, after all." Giving a perfect smile, she continues the song.

The sounds of music can cure all ails, it's like laughter in that way, however it can have the opposite affect unlike the music to the soul that laughter is.
It is a two-faced coin, healing and harming with equality.

Something the two Incarnations take too with gusto, the duet's song filling the whole battlefield, filling the Incarnations with the burning fire of passion and the sharp pang of love's lost and never found echoing through the God's hearts.

The sounds of music echoing throughout, the waves of sound crashing here, there and everywhere as the Immortals dance in the heavens. Walking on clouds, literally, as the effects grow more and more pronounced on the besieged Incarnation and the God of Strength. Bolstering the beleaguered and outnumbered 'Loyal' being Anon had tagged along with, while at the same time forcing Hercules to remember every fight with a loved one, every flicker of companionship seen from across the room when eyes meet then avert, a whole bevy of would have, could have and why nots.

For but a brief moment, Korug was sure he'd had a brush with death. As if by divine grace, though, Hecate's onslaught barely hit the flanked Incarnation. Then again, perhaps it is divine grace. Anduilas merely shook his head and scoffed. Looking at the battle, it seemed that everyone's fate was already set. Even he, the Incarnation of Luck and Destiny, hardly seemed to have any more effect. A part of him, the part that represented throwing off the chains of fate and forging one's own destiny, almost wanted to help Hercules.

    Almost.

"Meh, I don't see why I have to. Perhaps this is something I can just stand back and watch."

Flying a little higher, he decided to look at the big picture for now.

Hecate fleeing from him came as no surprise to Kai'ckul. Even among the gods and immortals few would dare defy the rules that make up the very fabric of reality.

His eyes trail Hecate as her current body crashes into Korug in a flurry of claws and fangs and somehow the incarnation still lives. The nightmare beast must be stopped now.

Raising his newly acquired hammer high, Kai'ckul surges forward and slams the weapon against her repeatedly. He grins widely, knowing that Hecate would be severely penalized in this confrontation.

Hercules staggers back, the music of Chaos slicing into his heart. Before he can recover, Korugs chain smashes into him, knocking him to his knees with the massive power behind the blows. Even a God of Strength has moments of weakness, and the power of Betrayal can fell even the mightiest warrior. The chain wraps around Hercules' head before pulling tight and breaking it in half. The dead God slumps to the ground, his club shaking the earth as it falls from his hand.

As Hercules dies, the multiverse reels. Everything seems to stretch out and weaken, as if the threads binding everything together have begun to unravel. Far away, mountains shake and storms clash, marking the passage of the God of Strength.

Meanwhile, Hecate is been forced away from Korug by the blows of Kai'ckul. With each blow of the flaming hammer, the Nightmare's bones crack and splinter, only to be regrown by its insane vitality. The wounds inflicted are far too great for it to heal fast enough, however, and the Beast is severely weakened. Within, the Witch Queen can do nothing but rage. With the edict set down by Kai'ckul, the Nightmare Beast has become nothing more than a shield, protecting her from harm but leaving her unable to retaliate.

"ere, witchy, hows about we shed some light on the situation?" The bubbling voice comes out of nowhere, and is followed by a moment of utter silence. Then, with a boom like a thousand volcanoes going off, the battlefield becomes a cage of lightning as the blobs that form Ssendam pulse with unearthly energy. The chaos-lightning hits the Nightmare Beast from all sides, burning into it and turning its skin and scales to smoldering ash. This new attack, combined with the incredible damage already it has already received, prove to much for the Beast. It collapses to the ground, electricity still crackling across its body. Although it is still healing itself, the lightning burns it continually, rendering it unable to regain consciousness.

Her vessel of destruction now rendered useless by Kai'ckul and Ssendam, Hecate has only her own powers to rely on. However, until she is forced out of the Nightmare's body, it still acts as an effective shield to ward her from the attacks of the Incarnations. And even without moving, she is hardly powerless.
An icy darkness spread out from the body of the Nightmare Beast. It flows over the ground like water, slowly rising as is spreads outward. Anyone touched by it feels their minds weaken, their will sapped and depleted. Within moments, it has covered most of the battlefield, and it continues to expand.

Discord smiles, looking into the Lady's eyes as they sing the duet, finishing the verse
"The Achrian Slayking? Ah yes I remember, twas a wonderful life."
The mask of Chaos shifts into that of the Slayking
"And may I say, you were a beautiful young girl. Almost as beautiful as you are now, if in a different way."

Chaos slips into the form of a much younger Lady of Pain, the two ladies dancing in each others arms, ignoring the sweeping clouds

Anduilas couldn't escape the icy darkness as it engulfed him, threatening to drown out his will and his soul in misery. For a moment it attacked him on all sides, like a plague or a sickness, making him doubt himself. He wondered what he was doing here, or why he should even bother. After all he was done, wasn't it? A legend, an Incarnation. Why go any further?

But he gritted his teeth and pushed those thoughts aside. Within him shone a bright light no one else could match. No darkness could snuff him out - even if he would be the only candle to hold it back! Twirling his blades, he roared.

"HECTATE! COME AND FACE ME IF YOU THINK YOUR PALTRY DARKNESS MEANS ANYTHING!"

Chaos rolls his eyes and says, without a trace of irony and probably a lot of hypocrisy (then again, Chaos is pretty much hypocrisy incarnate at this point in her life)
"No need to be so dramatic."

"True, and yet, you are currently locked in combat with a powerful deity. And I do believe this is your first. So listen up youngling, you have to be more wary, you don't live to my age without being wary, even without showing it.
For instance, Pain has seven blades hidden in her clothing for use on me if needed. And she didn't even know I knew. Charging headlong into battle simply exposes your back to the flanking of the others. Or to the more, Chaotic of your fellows."

Chaos grins, the feral smile expanding past his face, showing sharp, carnivorous teeth

"Also, you need to propagate Heroics, not be Heroic. I should know, I once spent a generation pretending to be the Incarnation of Law."

Chaos releases his date, bowing "Excuse me, my lady. But I feel we should take a more active part in this combat, if only so we can visit more interesting battles, this one has become dull."
She flash-steps behind Hecate "Hm-Hmm, excuse me can I distract you so my colleague can stab you?"
The Incarnate grins as the Lady of Pain moves to flank

Anduilas grinned as he twirled his blades. Even though he wasn't as old or...."experienced" as Anon, he did not feel intimidated at all. After all he was still young - the only feelings he felt were pride and anger. Laughing his comments off, he merely turned back to Hectate.

"I would mourn the day even Luck becomes exposed," he said with a laugh. "But until then I fight like how I should!"

"Enough of your petty tricks witch! Either you give up now or you will join your pantheon in eternal unlife! "

Drawing near until he is face-to-face with the nightmare beast, Kai'ckul lays a hand upon its forehead. Suddenly, the nightmare beast struggles as the years begin to pile on to its immortal frame seeking the soul energy known as essentia and hungrily devouring it.

DC 42 Fort save or be paralyzed as long as I maintain contact. Each round thereafter lose (1d8)[2] essentia (I forgot if the beast has any). If it runs out of essentia/doesn't have any, it instead loses (1d6)[4] Con.

The beast can attempt another fortitude save at the same DC each turn to break out of the paralysis until its Con reaches 0 or it breaks free.

I assume I don't need an attack roll to hit it since its already down.
