I take 81 points of damage.

Bugsy decides to try a different approach. He mutters something, and, though the others don't notice, turns invisible. He then says aloud. Have you ever considered, Sven, that the life of a dancer might be right for you? Let's see what you've got, ya old cow!

He pulls a scroll from his invisible pack, and reads it quietly. This had never failed Bugsy before.

Casting quickened Mislead, then taking a five-foot step away, then taking a scroll of irresistable dance from my haversack. Activating it on Sven, who gets no saving throw.

    Duration: (1d4+1)[4]

There is currently an illusory double of me where I was. I made him look like he was talking. I am under a greater invisibility effect, five feet away.

Vitis calmly counterspells Bugsy's Mislead spell using his battlemagic perception, leaving him casting from a scroll in clear view of all the spectators. Vitis then quickly refreshes battlemagic perception.

Sven now has an AC of -2... that's amazing! Also, because of the damn spell all he does for that round is dance and provoke AoO...

I don't think you're in range to counterspell, actually. You would have to have a CL of about 30 to be close enough to me, assuming you are on the very edges of the stands.

EDIT: correction, a CL of 54.

One of the "officials" says... What the f*** is that little bastard doing?. Then the "official" Bugsy talked to says, He told me he was going to make it look like he was casting spells so the competitors would thing he was disqualified and therefore let their guard down... The first "official" then slaps the other one, You jackass... he clearly lied to you. the "official" that was just slapped says, Sh**... I think your right... The guard that slapped him says, Nah... really? then pushes the "official" that talked to Bugsy into the pit... the official takes (8d6)[29] damage from the fall.

Edit: The official that fell dies... and the other one slowly steps away from where he was and then when he thinks he is out of sight he begins running towards a near by armed fellow and says something that none of you can hear...

Fine, it'll probably be fun for me too. I'm just saying that, according to the counterspelling rules, he couldn't actually do that.

Bugsy decides that now might be a good time to skedoo.

He casts his last quickened spell for the day, greater invisibility, and grabs the hammer from the dancing minotaur, and puts it in his pack. Then, he makes a break for it, but firsts whispers into the minotaur's ear. You're a good warrior, you are. I could use someone like you on my side. Come outside this place in an hour if you're interested.

Luckily for you the hammer only weighs 48 Lbs... despite being Colossal...

Also, you don't get very far before the man the official just spoke to catches up to you and blocks your path... he has some fancy looking sunglasses on (True Seeing Glasses... need I say more). He then says, I'd like to ask you to stop... but, I don't think you will... will you?

Bugsy shrugs. Would that I could, good fellow.

Bugsy then casts dimension door to appear outside the fight club. He immediately slinks behind any nearby structures.

    You hide rather easily...

The man that had ran and caught up to Bugsy before he jumped out of there like the wimp he is, then walks over to the rest of the group... Hello, my name is Anthony... he says to the group. I'm sorry about what happened to you... he says to shiver directly. usually they have better security here... but, tonight if seems to be practically nonexistent and rather lackluster... it makes a man feel like something is going to go down... something big... you know what I'm saying? he says, to the entire group again.

Also, it is nearing dawn... approximately, 3:15 AM...

Divert Teleport. He lands right beside Atlus, who I telepathically direct to pin him. Also, not sure where you're getting the range limit on counterspells.

The section on magic from the PHB states the following:

To complete the action, you must then cast the correct spell. As a general rule, a spell can only counter itself. If you are able to cast the same spell and you have it prepared (if you prepare spells), you cast it, altering it slightly to create a counterspell effect. If the target is within range, both spells automatically negate each other with no other results.

So you see, you have to be in range of the spell itself.

Anywho, Bugsy attempts to resist the grapple.

    (1d20+30)[36]

Greater Dispel Magic. A result of 41 (taking 10) should easily beat the flat DC of 11+your CL, so it wasn't worth rolling.

Ah, okay. You should have specified that you were using a dispel rather than just copying the spell.

Oh, and does Atlus have improved grapple, or do I get an AoO?

Fine, you're still delayed 3 rounds by anticipate teleport, giving me ample time to teleport the director (referring to the guy who tried to stop Bugsy) and the group over there.

Well... that is a possibility... although, I do, more often than not, usually roll natural 1s when even I make Trip and Grapple attempts...

Bugsy attempts to wrestle against the monolithic strength of Atlus, but just ends up making things more uncomfortable for himself. Awright, you cought me. Yeah, I was using a bloody scroll. Is that so bad? Does that even count as bein' against the rules? It's no different from allowing gorgeous over there to have all those spells on her. 'Scuse me if I value my own hide. Besides, we got to see Svenny there dance. You didn't mind, did you Svenny? He tells this last bit toward Sven.
