Hey, Lan, while refamiliarizing myself with the channeling rules I came across this website:

    http://mapage.noos.fr/zinuk/downloads/index.htm

Besides having some additional sourcebooks, it also had errata and Q&A from the WoT RPG game designer himself, Charles Ryan.

Clarifications include changes in Prestige Class requirements (no one needs Sense Residue anymore, apparently) and such. A lot of the Q&A stuff is the sort of thing DnD-players would already know, though---of course worn objects get a save! Still, fairly interesting stuff.

EDIT: Wow, I never realized there was so much unclaimed land in the southern Westlands. Kind of makes you wonder why Tear and Illian even bother fighting each other.

Thanks for that Tyler! Until I read that I didn't realise that Invert was a "Lost" skill. I'd better remove that from my character sheet (and replace it with Sense Motive I think) :)

I'm happy to skip forward to dinner, though Leilanna will want to be there for the burial, she feels kinda responsible after all.

Makes sense ... I'm not trying to take away any RP action from anyone. And guilty angst is a particularly good one! On to the 'funeral' ...

That was more meant of a "She will attend" kind of thing, I'm happy to skip the actual RPing. She'll spend most of the time standing there looking guilty anyway :)

Just out of curiosity, are any of you guys subscribed to the thread? It's a pretty good way to know when someone has posted, without having to repetitively do a manual check.

    Yes subscribed.

If you guys want to hash things out over dinner that's fine, if not, then a few people could post saying they're going to bed (As Tyler did) and I'll skip to the next day.

Just thought I'd bring up the (now reduced) table of players, if people are needing to look at character sheets

First, I request we add that awesome table and your updates on channeling to your first OOC post - I think it's a little easier to keep track of that way.

Second, I didn't ask before, but are these soldiers similar to the ones Luran saw in his dreams? It changes his perspective and actions, if so.

Yep I forgot he'd recognise their style of armour.
Obviously, it's heavy interlocking plates, and a full helmet in a strange, foreign style.

Well that was a craptacular damage roll :(
I was going to overchannel to a level five weave and burn them all, but Luran is too close and I figured he wouldn't appreciate 5d6+3 fireball damage from an ally :)

Also as a matter of interest, what fire weave is being used on us? Also Fireball?
And what're the chances of Anyanna trying to counter those weaves? ;)

Well suck ... cuz he might have been a little more vocal about not hanging out. Ah well, water under the bridge ... I suppose we'll move in. Since I can't see the map at work, please have me engage the closet target (start with anyone wounded, moving to keep from getting easily flanked).

Oh, yeah, no fireball's on my head ... or any other part!

I have to apologise, for you have all really made this game take off, but now I have to go away for a week (thought it wouldn't be for another day and a half) and I'll only be back on the 6th (early though, so hopefully you can expect an update). I apologise again, just post your actions and I'll try and wrap the combat up when I return (or if you're quick, I'll check again just before I go).

No worries ... I'm in the process of doing some moving around, so I'll have sporadic posting myself for the next couple of weeks. I'll check in when I can - don't kill me off, but don't stop playing on my account.

Man, how gigantic are those Two Rivers field mice? Pray to the Light we don't run into any of those monsters.

edit: Says the guy with a +1 total ranged attack bonus.

Did I say field mice? I meant big red barns....gigantic big red barns.

It's just the perfect example of irony, saying that he is a crack shot archer and then rolling a 1.

Just a quick rules clarification question:

The WoT RPG errata state the following: "To concentrate on a weave while attacking, the channeler must make a Concentration check (DC 15 + casting level)." (the point of this is to make weaves like Fiery Sword actually usable)

Would it be allowable to interpret this erratum as: "To make a standard action while concentrating on a weave, the channeler must make a Concentration check (DC 15 + casting level)"?
