Re: The Wheel Weaves... [OOC]
No worries ... it'shard enough trying to work thru info we all know as players but not as characters, thoughts and colors aside!

Re: The Wheel Weaves... [OOC]
This is true, the line between what characters figure out in the books and what is 'common knowledge' is pretty fine.
I always thought it was very.. odd.. that the first thing Nynaeve did with an A'Dam was try and add sensations to what she can feel of the other person. Kind of a huge leap of logic.Super cute Catgirl Avatar by Kymme

Re: The Wheel Weaves... [OOC]
Question for Al'Lan.
What kinds of rolls/thoughts/ideas would be appropriate for working out that the a'dam can be used to make people feel whatever you want them to?
As I said above Nynaeve just pulling it out of nowhere seemed really odd to me, but there may be something about the nature of the device to lead the mind in that direction.
I could probably understand thinking about 'leaning' on the emotional ball in the wielder's head to try and make them feel more inclined to do whatever you want, but I'm not sure if that's a logical leap, or just one that I'm making because I know the deal OOC.Super cute Catgirl Avatar by Kymme

Re: The Wheel Weaves... [OOC]
Well having come up with the Warder bond connection you might wonder if you could compel her to do things (since this is a possibility with Warder bond) or perhaps the nature of the a'dam as a leash and collar might make you wonder. If you don't think Leilanna would do more then it isn't necessary since you know the item allows control of channellers (unless you were planning to train the sul'dam to channel or simply recapturing the damane). The only other aspect of it is the male channeller effect, but again, that isn't somehting that you would need to know.

Re: The Wheel Weaves... [OOC]
The funny thing is that's why we were in this location in the first place ... It was a good place to camp. Of course, given that a) this was a special group sent to find us, b)they tracked us by the Power and not random patrols, c) they are likely not expecting a return immediately, and d) we're still a little ways outside Falme, I'm guessing this is still safe. But who knows!

Re: The Wheel Weaves... [OOC]
Well it was quite a large area, and you still have the stream and small copse, so as long as you don't cap on the charred grass it isn't much different.

Re: The Wheel Weaves... [OOC]
Leilanna is supposed to be the fun one, being the daughter of a gleeman, but this has kinda got her rattled...

Re: The Wheel Weaves... [OOC]
Berin is done with anything needed to be said or done until we actually camp/settle down, perhaps eat over the fire, etc. Let me know if everyone else is done and I will take it from there.

Re: The Wheel Weaves... [OOC]
Well, at this point I'm pretty much waiting for people's opinions on who gets brought along, and if Anyanna & myself are going to be doing the impersonating, or if we're taking the Damane with us instead.

Re: The Wheel Weaves... [OOC]
Is there a roll we can make to see if any of these extra horses are war-trained, in case we ever need to get into mounted combat, or are we assuming that our current mounts are sufficient?

Re: The Wheel Weaves... [OOC]
Well the 4 from the soldiers are all perfectly trained for war, as is Lukas's steed: the others are all quite sturdy though and would suffice generally.

Re: The Wheel Weaves... [OOC]
.... I was thinking the noble tower guard from Tar valon would have an exceptionally trained destrier... but alas no, he suffices with a common mule (who is unfortunately not trained for combat..)

Re: The Wheel Weaves... [OOC]
Haha.
Ok then I may make the switch to a combat horse in lieu of the standard, just in case. And maybe give it a name and RP with it a bit in the future. But none of this happens until we get to town.

Doh! Called out by the kid! Of course, I think Luran's response was appropriate given the campaign world (from what I remember).
