The sudden maelstorm, lightning and thunder took Angela by quite a surprise. But by some miracle granted by Artemis she was able to keep herself from being blown away, nimbly twist her body to dodge the lightning, and steel herself against the thunder.

EDIT: Alcaeus brilliantly and deftly dodges the lightning, but is stunned by a thunderclap and in the ensuing wind is dropped 110' downwards (but is still 200' lateral distance to closest point of Scylla).

He hovers in the air, still trying to make sure to keep defensive winging, but shaking his head (stunned) and hovering in place. Meanwhile, his celestial heritage is unbothered by the heat of the rain, but the evil infused in it still does 6 unholy damage.

Where Alcaeus drops down nearly 40 yards and is stunned, the power of the titan's storm cannot quite harm the Naxian Queen.

Berenike casts a quick spell to give her the wisdom to overcome this creature's particular Tarterian resistance to magic. She then looks at the monster. "Aberration, you were cast into Tarterus for your sins against the gods and the Universe itself. Face now your sins!"

She casts a spell which then forces the titan to dwell on its transgression against the power of good and the harmony of the world.

Damien whips his blade in a mighty arc, clashing with the massive and vicious hound heads attempting to rip him asunder. He moves with uncanny poise, and with a massive twist and grunt of effort he manages to turn away the worst of the hound's teeth and fangs. The tentacle strikes him truly and powerfully, but he absorbs the massive hit with undying determination; the tentacle's attempts to grip him are stymied by the suddenly-glowing ring on his left hand, and the power of the ring's magic keeps him from the Titan's grip. Then the storm begins, and it is all he can do to be as the wind, avoiding and evading to the best of his ability.

Damien becomes as the spinning leaf, and there is no force that can assail him. The hound's heads are turned aside, the grip of the tentacle is rendered useless; the lightning lashes out, hot and bright, but his speed makes the lightning seem sluggish and limp. He weathers the blast of thunder with gritted teeth and a stalwart heart, and the hellfire does little but singe him.

"Now then," Damien calls out, his eyes hard and his armor smoking. "It's my turn, Titan." He whirls his blade with a roar of power and frustration, and he slams it into Scylla's hide with force enough to rend the earth and split the skies, his form perfect and his ferocity unmatched.

Evan as the Storm's fury explodes around the colossal beast the massive creature comes under sustained assault. Tentacles shrivel and wither slightly as her frame shudders as a pair of blackened rays sear her to her very soul. One dissapating over her muscular body, the other draining her very life force.

Seconds later the physical assaults strike. A torrent of ligntning bolts of force slamming into her chest and core leaving massive crater like injuries. The blow from the young hero is worse as the blow splits the creature brutally, a massive gout of arterial blood soaking the the master of blade as he severs a vital artery. The titan weakening stumbles slightly, a tsunamis of bloody water crashing onto the rocks.

Even as she reels a massive glowing aura enwraps her bestial head as her sins catch up with her like a whip cracking at her very soul as blood seeps from her injured form...

Reaching her human hands up to the very skies she screams out in the most primordial of ancient languages "mighty gaia save me, come to my aid"... the words washing over any nearbu like a physicla presence even as the wolf heads snap and bite...

Damien is rocked back by the immense spiritual pressure of the Titan's magic, the weight of her will crushing him down. The force of her wrath and strength is unimaginable, immortal, and undeniable, and the blademaster is rendered speechless and helpless. A wolf-head tears into him, gouging deeply into his arm and side, and though Damien has plenty of strength remaining the attack is a mighty one. He is not completely defeated, however; the Titan's spell was not able to render him locked in place, and the power of his ring keeps his muscles strong and his joints unlocked.

Cheiros hears Scylla's wail behind them, and turns to see the terrible devastation the cry elicits. He turns back to poke at Mopsus, concerned that the fellow might have succumbed to injuries Cheiros hadn't even seen. Well, time enough to deal with that later.

Cheiros watched the last of his conjured wyverns get torn to shreds, vanishing in an instant, and recognized the importance of having some kind of distraction present for all of the tentacles and wolf heads. Swiftly, calling on the powers of shadow, he created several creatures of air out of the air, and sent them hurtling back towards the fray.

Berenike (and Alcaeus) are safely distanced from the cloudkill effect.

Since most of the others have taken a high ground, Berenike casts control winds to create severe winds blowing away from her to blast away the concealing cloudkill away from Scylla (as well as from Damien, since staying inside one of these means continuous saving throws).

The arrows, the glowing ball of white light and the shimmering darkness are the last straw for the colossal monster. The water foams and the seas weep blood as the clouded skies all pour blood as even the heavens weep with the death of the Titan...

Scylla's body plunges beneath the waves as her humanoid upper body is seared and burnt and blackened and twisted. All of the force craters from the punishing arrows and the massive gashes from the glittering sword of the Master of Nine.

With a final low splash and hiss of steam the form sinks beneath the surface as more and more blood oozes to the surface and more blood rains down from the black clouds.... The titan is dead - a child of Gaia is slain by mortal hands and the world itself weeps tears.

As Scylla's form vanishes beneath the waves, Cheiros gestures for Cychreides to glide down towards the remains. The priest's lips moves silently, reflexively, in Hades' prayer for the recently deceased. Scylla had killed many men today, and might have gone on killing hundreds more. But an ancient and unique creature, beautiful and majestic, had gone out of the world.

    At their hands.

His hand slipped back to take hold of Hestia's still form. She was still in the body of the fury. Unless.

Unless the death of a titan sucked with it everyone nearby. How would he know. An expert on death he might well be, but no one had seen the death of a titan in even his life time.

    "A bit faster please, Cychreides."

The dragon, his mouth still full of dead fury, simply nodded slightly, and looked for a place to land.

Damien stood in the air, his feet resting on the winds as if they were solid ground, watching the great Titan fall beneath the waves. He said nothing for a moment, standing still and silent and noble. The he raised his hand in a farewell, and he called out to the ocean. "Rest well, Titan. May your rage find peace in the world beyond, if there is another world for gods and Titans." He begins to stride through the air, injured and weakened but still strong. He looks up to his companions, and he waves his gleaming blade in the air. "Does anyone have some healing magic to spare? I sucked in a great amount of those fumes, and I took a few weakening bolts of magic before that. Anything would be greatly appreciated."

Still riding the air currents as she watches the Titan's body sinks under the water, Angela is amazed that such a creature could even be killed by mortals such as them. "Where ever you go after this life, I can only hope that you don't hold it against us..."

Flying over towards the rest of the group she levels herself so that she is able to face them on equal 'grounds' as it were. "Well fought comrades. I too took some damage, but I don't need as extensive of healing as Damien. If a healing spell could be tossed in my direction I would appreciate it, if not I can try to heal myself."

I took 87 points of damage altogether. I could heal myself about half or more of that with a casting or two of Cure Serious Wounds

Berenike casts a maximized cure critical wounds on Angela for 50 healing.

Then a normal CCW for (4d8+18)[32] healing.

After that, the minimum healable by a CLW is 6, so she casts that and Angela should be fine.

    "Next?"

Cychreides looks for a place to land. Cheiros calls across to the young queen.

"You might want to have a look at Mopsus - he's been in a trance for a while. And a lot of the heroes and sailors who were the first ones to join in battle might use your gifts."

Meanwhile, Cheiros lays a hand gently on the dragon's flank to help it recover, while he scans the waves for Hestia's fury form. Abruptly, a winged form bursts from the water - battered but barely alive. She grins up at Cheiros.

    "Miss me?"

She darts up to the dragon and flits over to Cheiros. He reaches out, and their hands - both twisted into claws - entwine briefly.

    "Absolutely."

Damien takes a moment to allow the healing power of the spell to sweep through him, washing away both his injuries and the intense weakness caused by the Titan's fell magics. Reinvigorated and restored, he takes to the air with haste, sheathing his blade as he moves. He heads towards Cheiros swiftly, concerned for the well being of both the old necromancer and his wife. Damien surveyed the battle as he moved, and his heart burned at the destruction. "Someone," he mutters softly, "is going to pay for this."

Cheiros nods back at Damien silently, and then points to the mauled body of the fury in the dragon's mouth. Cheiros unstraps himself in order to help secure the dead fury onto one of the dragon's other saddles.

"Quite. And I'm hoping that this one will have some answers as to who, and why. I can ask her some questions once we're airborne again."

Damien doesn't question how a dead body could be interrogated; the necromancer's infamy was more than great enough to answer that question. He walked through the air to the crest of the dragon's back, where he settled his weight down, finally releasing his stance. "Now then, I do have a small question for you, Cychreides, if you care to answer; what is it like to be dead?" He asks the question as he looks out at the devastation on the ocean, his eyes moving from one fallen form to another.

The dragon tilted its broad head, pondering.

"My life was not a normal life, and my death was not a normal death. You might better speak to Hestia about her experiences in the land below. In some ways, this second life is like flying in a cloud. But I feel no pain, and the hunger that plagued every day of my life is no longer with me.

"In my life, i devoured thousands of lives, and was lost in rage. Now, with all of you, I find a kind of peace. I am no philosopher. It is not for me to say whether this is better."

The body of a dragon is not made for shrugging, but there was a slow unfurling and furling of Cychreides' ragged wings that suggested something similar. The dragon rumbles, and there is an acrid smell released in the air.

"A question for a question, bold mortal. I have flown for as long as I can remember. But I watch you dancing on the air without wings. What does that feel like?"
