Listening to Nina, Falcon noticed a pensive look in the mage's eyes as she trailed off. The swordsman recognised that look on first glance, for he had had that look himself before.

He breifly points to the scar around his neck,

Adele swallows her words uncomfortably, "Pard'n the lip, sir."

Adele quietly sniggers at the circus surrounding Nina. The coarse private absolves herself from the conversation, leaning on the side of Galer and Linia, making a show of monitoring the diplomatic proceedings of the Church.

[Nohbdy]

Too much time had been spent talking. Lloyd's eyes narrowed as the conversations happening did nothing to solve their predicament. So once more he turned and left the small square where to group was located. He continued into the courtyard, eyes thoroughly scanning the surrounds for any guard. It devoid of them as it was the previous time he was here. He crouched down low, moving quickly until if was far enough into the courtyard, away from the entrance. He stopped under a modestly sized window. Peaking his head above the glass he glanced into the room. Empty...for now,Lloyd thought as he began to apply slight pressure on the window, to see if it would open. There was no budge, locked.

This would not deter the thief however, as he began to climb the side of the building. It brought him back to the past, an odd sense of nostalgia. Slowly creeping up the side of the building, carefully finding make-shift hand holds in the structure for grip. He balanced himself as he gazed into a window on the second floor. Once again no guards or other movement was here. His hand pushed up on the window. At first there was the same resistance, until the window began to slide.

He was in.

[Kasanip]

Paris raised an eyebrow, taking the book. "I know no one by the name of Lubos."

"He said that you are [expected to return], and wants to escort for you. " Madeline said regretfully. "If he is not someone you know, you shouldn't go with him. He was dangerous, so please be careful of such a stalker. I didn't have a good feeling about him..."

"...Sorry. Let's hurry. I have a bad feeling Sir Imeena will be in danger again."

[Water_and_Wind]

Linia beckons for Imeena to join the discussion,


"The ex-captain here would like you to dispatch some forces eastwards towards Magne to warn them about the Redline company headed in that direction. He's already dispatched some riders and so it may not be necessary, but still, it's better to be safe with matters like these."

"I'll send some people over to Magne. A small detachment should do, we can't risk giving Calem the opportunity to flee. Any volunteers? Two or three are enough."

Nina laughed, before turning to Imeena, and bowing slightly.

"Eh? You are? This is a surprise. I knew a few, and they were all... frightening..." Imeena chuckled nervously. "Well you see, before I attended the military academy for squires, I was in a girl's school. No training was ever as ominous as that place..."

"I'll send some people over to Magne. A small detachment should do, we can't risk giving Calem the opportunity to flee. Any volunteers? Two or three are enough."

"Then sign me up for 'e task, Imeena."

Falcon said, hand on hip.

"I don't know wha' ya 'n 'e crew been up to, but 'tis obvious 'e whole lotta ya been pullin' a long night or two. Askin' any of 'em to make 'e long march now'll be hard on 'em, even if they put 'emself forward for it. Me, I'm fresher'n ya all, so give me 'e order, it'll let ya give one more 'e break they'll need."

...well. That was new. Fortunately, it seemed that the two were engrossed in their own conversation to notice the quizzical expression upon Hugo's face. Regaining his composure, he cleared his throat.

...Regardless, I wished to thank you for your assistance earlier. I had business to settle with them, and I am glad you aided me in that regard. Hugo offered a slight bow at the two representatives of the larger whole. I wish to repay you by offering my services for your group.

The swordsman continued, looking around again.

"Indeed, some of the people here are on the brink of exhaustion. This is most fortuitous, the assistance of the two of you is much appreciated,"

"Now now, Imeena, don't be standin' on ceremony. 'Tis not like I'm doin' all this for free, after all."

Falcon grinned, waving his hand.

[Penguinator]

Paris shook her head. "Yes... it is best to avoid such persons..." Her heart beat faster for a moment. She had failed in her duty, could her father really have sent someone for her? Or was this one of the Renyu who wished to overthrow her father?

"Speakin' of which, where's Maddy?"

Namek trotted behind the swordsman, stopping shortly behind him. "Here she is."

Paris nodded as Namek sniffed the man. "Paris Lightbringer." As Namek began licking at Hugo, she added, "and this is Namek."

Galer nods as Imeena agrees, tension dropping from his shoulders as he all but sighs with relief. He gives the group a quick salute and turns away,


"I'll be goin' now then, organize th' men an' see what we c'n clean up while we're 'ready out here."

He throws a few more words back as he leaves without turning around, his foots moving in a deliberate military march.

"I... jus' wanna say, thanks. Thanks, for all yer help. 'S real good t' be home."

Adele listened to the orders of Lord Calem Libo's arrest with intent. The matter of Linia's contact in Stora gave her pause; as the usual candidate to deliver such a missive was herself. Anxiously, Adele scans the assembled mercs for a trustworthy cuttie. Able-bodied men were in short supply, but the scarred veteran from before, Hugo, was still kicking.

Though the last Adele had seen of him was the flak of a nasty bombardment, the private greets the familiar militiaman genially. Perhaps over familiar, as the private's fervor for the general proceedings bubbles over.


"Que haces, vato," Adele bows out of the parley, "T'ou heard the missus, and, uh..."

The private's voice lowers to a discreet volume, "As the sister's escort, normally I'd be the 'volunteer' to fetch that Van Horn stoolie, but things are tight enough here already. Can you run it for me? Please. Porfamiamigo."

Madeline reached into her sleeve and showed the red hat. She gave it to Falcon.

"Here you are."

"Ah, there we go! My thanks, Mado-chan."

Falcon said, taking his hat from Madeline and setting it on his head once more.



"As I was sayin', feel free to call me Falcon. Why don't ya let Maddy her tend to ya now, Hugo? Sorry to hafta impose on ya again Mado-chan, I know ya dog tired, I can tell."

Hugo bowed in turn to Paris and Madeline. Thank you, all. At mention of healing, he remembered the wounds which he still had sustained. Ah, yes, I believe I am still in need of aid.. Hugo started, detailing to Madeline the various injuries about his person.

As Adele came over, he nodded at the soldier's request. Of course. I am indebted to you, after all.

[Sairyu]

Angry voices break the night’s stillness, a medley of running footsteps and threats and exhortations of violence flying through the air punctuated by the popping crackle of displaced air as dark magic snakes through air. Erinn Startouched pauses briefly to take refuge behind a stone statue of Saint Dardail, the protector saint’s beatific smile only slightly less reassuring than the cover that it provides her.

A brief lull in the pursuers’ rate of fire, perhaps due to exhaustion or a lack of coordination, is all that she needs to spring free, her mount heaving into the air in a great running leap. A look back reveals the swiftly outpaced forms of her pursuers and she breathes a sigh of relief.

The labored breathing of the two travelers she’d met just hours ago demands her attention, the self-styled “mage” landing with a winded grunt as her last application of anima weaves expires and drops her to the ground, allowing the significantly more wearied, and land-bound, cleric to catch up to her.

Up ahead is the gate leading out of town, a dull eyed and lethargic guard barring the path.

Hugo arrives in Stora after his second day of travels from Eben. He's supposed to find a man named 'Van Horn' but his instincts are telling him that there's something wrong with the whole situation. It's a bit too quiet, a bit too still even for a supposedly sleepy town like Stora, and he doesn't like it one bit. It's a feeling that reminds him of times he'd rather not dwell on.

Falcon said to himself, as he approached the lady cleric; who, apparently, had been the Chaplain of the local Church all this time. Well, what do you know.

Without another word, the swordsman simply extend a hand, palm facing skywards, towards Linia.

"Gonna need papers from ya if it ain't endin' up some fool's errand, no?"
