Chris gives chase, entering THAT room...he doesn't recall ever showing up in THAT room, and in fact is quite puzzled by it. For what reason he is puzzled by it is to be left a mystery.

Well, Chris probably looks all over the place in the room. Then he remembers that the ceiling is indeed a place that one could cling to.

This baby's built for speed, especially with these legs. She shifts on the three-toed digitigrade legs.
We've got these two shoulder plasma guns, controllable by brainwave, remote operator, or onboard CPU. Then there's the extendable forearm mini-shield and the forearm vibro-blade.

The two would see what appears to be a large stone statue standing in the middle of the hallway. It's humanoid in shape, but the proportions are all off. It's also wearing a few things, including some very large pants, a steel breastplate, and a ballista on it's back.

The obviously heavy statue appears to have been overbalanced, as it rocks backward, then falls forward, towards the summoner.
