Van Canto in the Playground

A really good German A Capella Hero Metal band. They've released four albums, the first three of which I have. Granted, a lot of their appeal is the novelty behind it, but their original songs are pretty good (especially since quite a few are covers).

I quite like Van Canto. I initially got into their music because of the whole "a capella heavy metal" gimmick, listening mostly to their covers of song I knew. But later I began to realize that they're a pretty solid power metal act in their own right and began listening to their own stuff.

I'm really fond of them. Their videos and sometimes songs can seems overly produced, but all in all I love the sound of it. Being a metal fan who sang in a semiprofessional choir for almost a decade helps, I guess.
