The man takes the caps Emmet provides and put them in the safe, handing over the clips in the process.
He then also grabs a large case from the back. It seems to be made of mildewed wood and has the words: U.S. ARMYemblazoned in white in the peeling olive green paint.
"I call it the grab box. I just put random bullets inside. Mostly because I have no idea what they go to and I have no idea what that bullet is. You're welcome to look through it."
He looks at Emmet.
"Anything else I can do for you? Repair your gun perhaps?"
The gas masked man will finda whole clip of the bullets he wants in the grab box if he looks through it well enough.

The man picks up all the bullets he can find, and turns to leave, leaving the bag of caps behind. There's more than enough caps in it, probably more than the bullets are worth to the vendor.

I'm sure they'll listen to you, a stranger who's just wandered into town today who's unlike anything anyone has ever seen before over me, a trusted trader who's been here trading before the Followers ever came and has never done counter-productive to their work to their knowledge."

Hunter looks less than happy about this, and the ghoul might get the feeling that the mutant plans on figuring out a way to get back at her later, especially as the spark in her eyes is now faintly shining through the lenses.

"Fine. How exactly would one go about getting permission from the Followers to buy them, then?"

A man in a ratty vest walks into town, a german shepard at his side. He has a small cape over his right shoulder and the ratty bottom half of some brown robes covering his legs. With a revolver on his belt, a bat on his back, and a gas mask covering his face he could almost look intimidating. Except for the fact the he has two barking German Shepard puppies on leashes running around. He reigns them in and their mother barks, silencing them.

Once again he looks slightly intimidating with three dogs in tow. Then a tiny derpy-looking brown puppy pokes it's head out of his vest, it's tongue lolling out to the side.

Jacob removes his mask and walks up to a food vendor, looking for fresh meat. If he can't find any canned or dried meat will do, he just wants to give Birch a treat instead of the stale pre-war dog food.

"Simple, Smoothskin. Just let them exam you to make sure you're not using and they'll tell me to sell them to you. Though they'll probably do something special for you."

Hunter nods curtly, placing the appropriate amount of caps for the stuff that she can buy at the moment on the table, and picking up the stuff she just paid for.

And, with that, she heads over to the Follower's stall, and looks around for whoever is working at it.

The man eyes the others around for a moment, then slips into a back alley.

While there is already plenty of stands selling cooked food, canned food, and dried goods, there is only one selling fresh meat.
And it seems today is the day that he's cutting hunks of meat for people from a Brahim right in front of them!
Buyer chooses the parts, of course.

A bored looking ghoul in a Followers' uniform pronouncing her name to be Elouise is sitting there, seemingly pre-occupied with a Rubik's Cube.

Hunter knocks on the table lightly, glow in her eyes dying down a bit now that she's calm.

"I'm here to be examined?"

"For what, Smoothskin? Prostate exam? Full Body Exam? Gotta be a bit more specific than that. Otherwise some crazy might just cut you up."
She licks her thumb, then flips a page in her book.

And... Back come the sparks. Normally, Hunter could take a bit of humor, but she's already in a foul mood from her encounter with the the woman at the medical stall.

"Nutritional and chemical deficiencies," the mutant states flatly, glaring at Elouise, though that's mostly hidden by the goggles. "The trader at the med shop won't sell me what I need to treat them without your go-ahead."

Jacob orders some meat off the Brahmin. More specifically a half pound of meat from around the joints. It isn't the best cut of meat but it's meat, and Birch will appreciate it all the same. When he gets the meat he counts out the caps on the counter and tosses the meat directly to Birch who tears it apart and scarfs it down pretty fast.

Looking around Jacob heads towards the nearest saloon/watering hole. The puppies are getting hungry and he'd prefer to have a nice quiet corner that Birch can lay down in to feed them.

The masked man steps out of the alley and, staff in hand, wanders off looking for the nearest saloon-type place. He could use something other than irradiated water to drink.

Brunswick - Follower's Stand
"Ah...okay."
She puts a closed sign on the stand and motions for Hunter to follow as she walks towards the door to get into the fish raising and dam part of Fort Andross.
"Come with me...I'll examine you."

Brunswick - Main Street
As anyone walks away from Fort Andross, they'll see that there are a few shops on the street that have been boarded up.
If they're looking for an Inn of sorts though, where one might get a drink and a room to stay, they'll see a stop sign that's been affixed on the front of a building that, judging from the dusty red letters, used to be Frosty's. The stop sign has been painted on and says: INN.

Hunter, naturally enough, does, indeed, follow her, and will patiently wait for further instructions when they arrive at wherever it is she's going to be examined.

Jacob walks in and leads Birch and the puppies to a corner. He lays his cape down and Birch curls up on it, letting her puppies feed. Jacob pulls Bobo out of his pocket and gently nudges him towards Birch, hoping she'll let him feed. She does and he sighs happily.

Letting the dogs feed he walks up to the bar. Some fruit, a beer, and a bed. How much? he doesn't have many caps left but he hopes what he has will cover it.

Ella nods and tilts her head back, revealing a pair of goggles.
Kneeling next to a victim, she puts them on and fumbles with the glasses. Apparently they can be used as some sort of binoculars.
"Never seen anything like them. Got any idea about the poison? Is it just paralyzing or worse? "
It looks pretty bad.

"I have no idea. I've been treating them with antidote in the cuts and then stitching them up, but so far none of them have woken from their comas."

The ghoul leads Hunter into the infirmary of the dam, where there is an old, but functioning, Protectron outfitted with a doctor's coat and different instruments instead of hands.
"Well technically, he's going to be examining you."

The mutant shrugs, looking around to see if there's anything laying out in easy reach, if she can do so without being overly obvious about it.

"Alright. Can we get on with having it do so, then, please? Preferably before I start having issues?"

Oh, there's plenty of things in reach. All manner of drugs, Stimpacks, medical charts, ect...

"Alright, Smoothskin. Just sit down in that stool, back to the robot. Any clothing covering your upper torso will need to be removed."

Behind the bar is a Robobrain, which has had some of the arms from a Mr. Gutsy attached to its back.

"Thirty caps for a room, ten for a beer, and the rest depends on what, and how much, fruit you want."

Hm. She'll have to come back here later... But, for now, she strips off the upper part of her modified clothes - reluctantly removing her goggles, as that's necessary for part of it, which reveals she has yellow eyes, and shows the flickering spark of light in them quite clearly -, sitting down as indicated by the ghoul.

Before she comes back though, she may want to wonder why the Followers have never been robbed in the thirty years they've been in the town though...

And she may feel the Protectron feeling up her back with various instruments and two pricks. Once for a blood sample, the other for a tissue sample.

After a while, if what she says is true, the Protectron will utter words.
"Patient is cleared for Drug Permit."

She doesn't know that they haven't, though... And, too, she didn't survive a hundred-and-fifty years by not being able to sneak into places.

In any case, what she says is, in fact, quite true; she does indeed have various nutritional and chemical deficiencies, most of which can be treated with things derived from Jet and Steady, and is fairly heavily mutated, with a lifespan similar to a ghoul, several major anomalies in her brain structure, oddities in her eyes, and remnants of FEV in her blood.

Once the robot has spoken, she goes to dress again, seeming relieved that no-one has commented on her visible differences from the norm.

The ghoul hands Hunter the drug permit and will escort her out of the dam and back to the Followers' stand.

A mutated thing resembling a large, sick rat darted out into the area, shortly followed by a black-and-white dog barking at it with all his might to anyone who would listen.

Dominick sits up, well rested from half a night, and half a day, of rest on the bare mattress. Brunswick was no slice of heaven, but it was better than a lot of places the drifter had stayed.
He stood, stretched, and whistled as he walked over to a small table made of scrap metal, a tin cup sitting on it. In a flash, the man snatched up the cup and examined the rough 5 o'clock shadow on his slender face, then shrugged and sat the cup back down.

Hey, Rez. Wake up, the day's movin' on without us.

Jacob puts his last fifty caps on the counter. That's it. No more. He's broke. The most fruit I can get for ten caps. Fresh fruit if you have it. he looks back to find that Bobo has wandered(read: wiggled) away from the group. Nonono! No running away you little... he picks the derpy little puppy up and carries him to the bar, the other puppies having fallen asleep already.

Hunter nods curtly, heading back to the medical stall, where she presents the permit to the ghoul woman.

"Told you I wasn't a junkie..."

The ghoul looks up briefly to check out the permit and then gets the Jet and Steady.
"How much did you want again, Smoothskin?"

The mutant shrugs, unhooking a bag of caps from her belt in preparation for paying the ghoul.

"Depends. How much have you got?"

[Brunswick Inn]

The robot, when he returns from his puppy chasing, gives him a tray of carrots and an apple, sucking the caps off the counter with a vacuum attachment as it does; apparently, it's not one for conversation.

"I've got plenty of canisters of Jet and Steady, Smoothskin. The Followers got a new scientist who makes it. He's an absolute genius with the chemicals."
