Ice Cave

Pyrus rushes over a little closer to her across the ice. He doesn't slip yet. Kestrel! Are you Ok? How do we get you out? I must have a rune somewhere in my bag! Er...

She's shivering too violently to answer. What's he doing coming closer? She doesn't want him closer, she wants him safe!

As for escaping, well she had a way that would certainly work... except that it would hurt Pyrus. Severely. And she had sworn he would be safe around her.

So she waits, shaking, hoping he'll use whatever this rune is before it gets any worse.

Ice Cave

Pyrus frowns and takes out a scroll. He grabs a torch out of his ba. The words fly off the page and wrap around Kestrel's feet. The words than ignite and should melt away the ice but slightly burn her. Pyrus moves to her and tries to leads her out. You OK?

Kestrel clings to him gratefully. Her skin is as cold as the surrounding ice and she hugs him tightly, reveling in his body heat.

The fire scorched the boots, but there had been plenty of melted water around to put it out before a true fire started, so she was more or less alright, if somewhat cold.

"F-fine." It's tricky navigating their way out of the ice-slicked cave, but eventually they hobble out. "See, that's why I don't cast spells."

Ice Cave => Jungle Clearing/Camp Area

Pyrus cradles her close letting her feel his warmth. Her skin was so cold! He moves his body close to hers. He'l lead her off to the camp before gently setting her down near his tent. Here, use this. He hands her a large woolen blanket from the tent. He wraps it around her softly.I'll make a fire and some soup. The soup is warm. He begins to cook. After a little while he moves to sit next to her and try to wrap his arms around her. There...soup will be done soon. Do you...Do you need energy after that spell?

The very question itself meant that he was truly hers. It brings a faint smile to her lips. "That's not necessary Pyrus. I wouldn't want to drain you too soon after your first time."

Well, what with Teq obstructing the line of fire and preventing them from snatching the sickle out of Narahar's reach, the triplets can't do much at the moment. Two try to circle round the combatants to flank the priest, drawing daggers in preparation for a pincer attack, the last hanging back to add fire support should the opportunity present itself.

She may feel him lightly pushing her.

She picks a spot on the cave ceiling near the entrance and makes little bear cub noises.

A big furry wuzzly lump lumbers out of the cave entrance... only for its throat to get cut by a quick slice from Seskila's push-dagger.
Um, do that, but you can't make bear cub noises and stuff...

Adam goes onto the ceiling now, nodding at her.
And then starts doing a very bad imitation of the bear noise she just made.
Which, though terrible, causes the momma bear to lumber out to investigate.
Until Adam drops down and snaps her neck.

Teq keeps Narahar pinned, intent on making him stay where he is. As a result, he can't raise a foot or some such to stop the priest's action.

Well that's a good question. It was becoming harder for her to distinguish what she wanted to do, what she needed to do, and what she really ought to do.

As for what she wanted to do, well, with his arms around her like that she had a few vague notions running through her mind. Yet he was probably already slightly afraid of her after her sudden energy-stealing, so maybe that really wasn't a good idea.

What she needed to do consists mostly of returning to her master, who is already angry with her and most likely about ready to give a good hard tug on the mental tether between them.

What she ought to do is learn more about this strange man if they were to be spending more time together. And out of all the options she had, that's the one she chooses.

She curls in against him, laying her head on his chest and cuddling as close as he allows. "I want to know more about you, Pyrus. Tell me about your family. What's your brother like?" She's asking mostly due to the fact that she has two brothers, and neither of them are particularly pleasant to be near.

Pyrus lets her cuddle very close. He presumes she's still cold. He smiles down at her. She was so soft! He's a scientist. Likes to record strange creatures. Bit of a conspiracy theory fanatic too. He believes in a lot of...odd things. Kinda eccentric. But he's my brother and I love him despite his strange ways. My sister is n engineer. She designs all sorts of stuff! Like my flying machine thingy. My Mother lives in a nice mansion we have. My father is dead.

Between his soft voice and the steady beat of his heart, she's beginning to feel somewhat drowsy. She reflects that she's glad she doesn't drink blood like her siblings, else his heartbeat may have been near torture as she's meant to protect him.

"It must be nice, not having siblings who plot to kill you. Out of my two brothers and five sisters, I trust only one around me, and I'd trust none around you." She reflects on both their words for a moment more. "Actually, as that's the case I have one further question. How proficient are you with weapons?"

Pyrus tries to run a hand through her short hair. Weapons? None too good...haven't needed them. I have my runes, I can defend myself with those. And now, I have you. Er...you have me...one of the two. Pyrus still didn't know what he's thinking staying with her.

"Or both." Kestrel says gently, smiling. Her pixie-cut hair may be rather short and slightly burned, but it has the same soft, slightly wavy texture so common to the elves of her planet. And him fiddling with it only made her smile widen. Maybe she isn't quite as iron as she seems after all.
