My thoughts on the chapter

Well this chapter was a-bit tougher then before. A lot of enemies, but nothing I couldn't handle it. And we have our first support! HectorxMatthew. However I hate that effective weapons are only 2x in the English version. Kinda puts a stop to Rebecca one-shotting fliers.

Rebecca's first level up was bad. Strength is nice, but I'd like more stats. Her second level up was okay. And she is gaining a-lot of strength. So I might use her over Wil,

Hector's first level up was okay. The extra skill is nice. And the luck helps right now with not taking crits. But his second level up was crap.

Serra's first level up was nice. The extra defenses help her survivability, and the skill will be useful when she promotes. Serra's second level up was okay. And the extra magic is nice. Since she's come so far, I'll evaluate her averages again. Serra has below average Magic, Skill, and Resistance, Average Hp, and Above average Speed, Luck and Defense. I might end up using her because A she's not turning out quite as bad as I feared, and B She's level 11 already. Compared to my other healer in two chapters that's level 3. But I might use both.

Lowen's level up was great. Extra everything but Strength and resistance and Cavaliers never have good Resistance anyway. If he continues to level up like this. He'll probably replace Kent and Sain.

Matthew's level up was nice. He survives more, and is faster.

Guy's level up was okay. But I do like the strength gain. Guy can have issues with that, and seeing it rise is promising.

Eliwood's level up was okay. He's doing better per level then Hector at least.

Bartre's level up was bad. Because apparently getting decent axe users is too much to ask for,

Guy is our Myrmdion, and first Swordmaster candidate. He is swift and skilled and gets in many crits. However he can only ever wield swords. He caps Skill at 29 at level 20 and Speed at 30 at level 16. I tend to like Swordmasters, but Guy can have issues raising his strength.

In other news next map I get a Goddess icon. My opinion is to give it to Oswin, or Matthew, that way it's harder to crit them. What do you think?

I'm always pretty bad about holding on to the stat up items because I want to see who will end up needing them most. It's to the point where they don't even get used until the last few maps in a lot of my games.

Not that you need them anyway. The one problem with Fire Emblem is that your characters are way too powerful. By the end of the game you generally have at least 4 or 5 characters that can solo most maps.

I'm a bit worried about none of your characters gaining strength. 3 and 4 point stat ups are nice...but if you never gain any strength, the character won't keep up in the long run.

My thoughts on the chapter

Well Rebecca was useless. Twice I had to change plans because Rebecca missed which was irritating. On the bright side it was a fog of war map, and no one died, so that's a plus. And I managed to get to the village with 5000 gold.

Lowen's first level up was okay. The extra skill will help his hit, and he should no longer have a possibility of getting crit by mooks without weapons that have higher crits. Lowen's second level up was nice. I will now evaluate. Lowen has below average Hp, and Strength. However he has above average in every other stat except Luck. Since the above average Defense and Resistance is better against all but Flame-tongue. Lowen's turning out pretty good right now.

Eliwood's level up was okay. The extra Speed will help him double, but I'm starting to get worried by the lack of strength. Since Eliwood is level 5. Evaluation time! Eliwood has below average strength, and by below average, I mean he hasn't increased it once. I'm starting to worry about his ability to deal damage. On the bright side his Skill and Resistance are above average. So he'll hit a lot at least.

Guy's level up was good. Becoming more of a dodge tank, and hitting more often. I'll evaluate him also. Guy's got below average Hp, but above average Speed. Since Guy's whole thing is double attacking, I'm okay with that,

Hector's level up sucked, but what else is new.

I'm pretty sure you can use the light brand on him. There's a map with him on it where the enemies have them. I don't remember if you have any of them by that point though.

I have a bad problem of never using any of the valuable weapons/items. I pretty much just use iron weapons all game...which is ok, because they're generally the best anyway since they are the lightest.
