Well this was an easy chapter. Considering it's so early in the game that's not surprising. Kent got hit a-lot more then I wanted though. But at least the level ups were decent.

Thoughts on the new characters

Sain is the offensive Cavalier. The only stat he caps on average is Strength, and he only caps at 25, but he is almost certain to cap considering he does it at Level 9 Promoted on average. His edges over Lyn are his superior movement and ability to use Lances. In addition upon promotion he is the only class that gains mastery of the weapon triangle.



Kent is the swift and accurate cavalier. In addition he is much tankier then Sain. Kent caps Skill and Spd on average. At 26 and 24 respectively. However he has much less lee-way then Sain. Only capping Skill on average at Level 20, and capping Spd on average at level 18. He has the same edges over Lyn that Sain does. Including mastery of the weapon triangle.

Sain made me laugh, like he usually does. Don't know why, preverted characters tend to be my at least one of my favorite characters.

I wish Kent spoke a bit more, as in added text, since I love Kent so much.

Okay this is not an update. (That will be later tonight.)

I have decided how I will do supports in the later chapters.


When I have all but finished a map. (i.e On a seize map I have killed everything but before I seize the throne) I will look on my list of popular support pairings. (Of which you can suggest as many as you want) I will pair characters based on who as the most votes and until turn 30 I will grind their support rating.

However as long as the character has slots open I will not refuse a support pairing. If the character can still get an A support rating I will go though with the support. (i.e If a character has a B support and a C support, or 3 C supports I won't do a further C support. Otherwise I will)

Do note this does make some pairing more likely. For instance Lyn and Kent is the most popular pairing on both character's sides. However LynxFlorina starts at a big amount and levels up fast. Needing 41 turns only to get an A support. Compared to the 74 turns it takes to get an A support with Kent. (In fact I think LynxFlorina is the fastest support pairing in the game)


If any of that is un-clear, please just say what parts are un-clear and I'll try to give examples/ try to explain better.

My thoughts on the chapter

Well that chapter also went well. The closest thing to a scare point was near the end when Lyn was nailed by the bandit's axe. But since she had 100 accuracy it turned out to be a non-issue. In addition I finally have Lyn's signature weapon the Mani Katti, and while it isn't quite as good as Sain makes it out to be, It is effective against Knights and Cavaliers and has a high crit rate.

On characters and level ups. I'm pleased by Sain's level up The additional Str and Spd are nice. His skill is low, but worse comes to worse Swords are rather accurate.

I'm displeased by Kent's level up. A two point level up is bad. Thankfully he still has more Hp and Spd then Sain.

Lyn's level up is okay. The extra luck helps her avoid. And the resistance boost will help when we start fighting Mages.

It makes sense if Luck is knowing what the ladies like, seeing as such legends as Mathew and Legault fit very neatly into that category.
