First let me say, I love what you did with Erk, pure genius, except for this line. "You idiot! Why would you make my job harder! Do you want me to fail! What do you think happens if I fail!" It just doesn't seem in character to me. Mostly I think it is because Erk displays more of the calm sarcastic/flippant form of irritation whereas this line is completely blunt and full of exclamation points.

My thoughts on the chapter

Well I had fun on this chapter. I gave most of the xp to Erk because he starts off at level 1. I would have preferred the boss hit Erk twice so that she could of leveled up, but she still has 88 xp. The one panic moment was seeing the Merc able to crit kill Erk, It didn't happen, but it could of.

Florina's level up was okay. I'd prefer some Strength. But extra Resistance is nice. And it's funny that the character with the strongest hints of being into chicks has the highest luck.

Erk's level ups were good. His first one was a four point level up, and his second one improved magic. Which Erk can have issues with,

Serra

Well Serra is Lyn's mode only healer. Which makes bring her along a necessity, and protecting her vital. She starts off with low magic which impacts how much she can heal though, and can be annoying to level up. The basic heal staff only provides 11 xp per use. Which means without being attacked. (Because she gets 1 xp each time she gets attacked.) Or using a different staff, she needs 173 uses to level up. On the bright side female bishops level up slightly faster than normal units. Serra does not cap any stats on average but has quite high luck and resistance. One obstacle to her use in Hector's mode is the recruitment of a Troubadour (A mounted healer) But Serra may have enough levels on the Troubadour for me to want to keep her. Or I may decide with death being permanent to bring both of them for the extra healing


Erk


Erk is Lyn's mode only Anima user. So pretty much I'm forced to use him anyway. Which is not bad. Erk starts out decent, and with his level ups so far, he's pretty good. Erk caps Speed on average at 26 at level 20. Erk two biggest issues to staying on the team in Hector's mode is the fact that Erk can be very spotty in terms of gaining magic. For whatever reason despite his 40% growth (Which is decent) he can sometimes struggle to really gain any magic. In addition late into Hector's mode I get the best pre-promote in the game. Pent a Sage (Promoted mage) with incredible bases. Pent acutally has the edge on average in Mag, Skl, Luck, and Def and comes with a A support, and unlike Erk, Pent starts out as a decent unit for even the end-game.

In all the instances I've used Serra and gotten her through 20 loooooong levels of heal grind, she's turned out amazing, maxing out just about everything relevant. Honestly, this is one of my favorite games ever, so I'm considering playing along with you on my DS. Not to record or anything, just to play the game again. Oh, and one thing you may not know about FE6 that you'll want to watch out for- enemy reinforcements move and attack on the same turn they appear.

I don't remember all that much about 6. I'd definitely look up how to get all the gaiden chapters though, the true end is worth it to say the least. On the subject of being really angry, FE6 has a sadistic tendency to give bosses killer Weapons, and really early (I think the first one is in chapter 6, for reference. Lillina basically soloes entire maps if she's supported with Roy and is nigh-invulnerable if you give her a Secret Book or two. Same use for Marcus applies. Strip him of his weapons, and use him as a meat shield. I want to say that more of the stages are laid out in a mean way, with painful ambush points and environment effects and a lot more infinitely spawning enemies. The special enemies are not too bad, but you will definitely want good magic users to deal with them. Luckily, both Lillina and Hugh are fantastic choices. Use no prepromotes. FE7 gives you Pent, but none of the prepromotes in FE6 are anything but garbage. Conserve your legendary weapons until the last 2/3 chapters, and use Roy on the last boss.

First off. My sympathizes for the boring talking parts. This update will be in five parts and I don't think the next update will have any battle either. On the bright side. Since next chapter opens up the preparations screen we can start talking about who to bring. Also I checked Serene forest scripts, and this is the longest chapter in Lyn's mode.

Athos is better considering he is one of two dark magic users. Also whose bright idea was it to put Canas in a sidequest? That's a pet peeve of mine.

Two two people I have ever lost and kept on going were Serra (in Lyn mode) and Florina (because she was way underleveled, and she was killed by one of the last two guys in the level, and I was NOT going to restart that one.)

Game Serra is something like nails scraping on a chalkboard in the Abyss. The problem, and this is the game's problem, not yours, is that she's supposed to be kind of tsundere, but there's too much tsun in the dialogue you're likely to see and not enough -dere unless you really dig. And that assumes you like tsunderes.

Honestly I'm not a fan of Tsunderes, but Serra never really bothered me, (Probably because I wasn't being affected by her.)
