"Ruff!" She declares, standing over the drowess.

What she meant to say was 'if you leave now I won't hurt you further', but the wolf-mind is keeping her from speaking Common.

So in the end, Tyalla has to try and knock the drowess out instead to keep from having to kill her. A strong, un-wolflike clout to the head with a paw might do the trick.

The drowess is easily knocked out. She's pretty weak, as no-one has really attacked her before.

Well... that was easy.

Yay! Happy fun feeding time!

Wait... no, rescue Elkandar time! Feeding would be bad. Very, very bad.

But I'm hungry!

Oh, the wolf was always hungry. True, though, that without the sunlight and forest setting, Tyalla hadn't had much by way of nutrition for a long time.

Still, feeding really would be a bad idea. So she turns to Elkandar.

"Ruff..." ((Translation: 'Oh, my poor Elkandar...'))

She attempts to snap the shackles with teeth and claws.

((Her Elkandar?))

The shackles snap after a few minutes of gnawing and make a loud clang! on the floor. Elkandar collapses onto the floor.

She's a wolf. Wolves are possessive.

She catches Elkandar in her paws as he falls ((as he's unconscious I assume he's godmodeable to an extent).

"Ruff?" ((Translation: 'What am I going to do with you?')) She can't very well walk out holding him.

Eat him.

Definitely not!

She has to get him out of there. There were two guards by the statues and two guards at the door. She could handle four guards, couldn't she?

She looks down at Elkandar. She has to try...

Standing on her hind legs, she cradles Elkandar to the werewolf's chest and begins to walk up, no longer bothering to stick to the shadows.

She'll let the guards in the hallway see her as she walks to greet them.

Hm. Elkandar is visible.

So, the two guards there see her, but not him as they draw their rapiers. They don't attack though...

It could be one of their Matron's bizzare experiments? Delivering the prisoner?

And she hates it when they mess with those.

Unsure why the guards haven't attacked her already, she stops a few metres from them and snarls a challenge.

It would be nice if she could just go through... wouldn't that be nice?

I should kill them all!

Well, that wouldn't be necessary if they'd just let her through.

One of the guards whispers to the other, and takes a cautious step forward, prodding Tyalla with his sharply-pointed rapier.

Cat will say goodbye to the bartender before following Freddie.

""Graveyard first?"

He probably is hungry, and it's probably not safe for her to be so close to him when hungry.

Necanth Prison- To The Graveyard

The trip is to a crack in the wall of a concrete-lined corridor with a rail in the floor and ceiling. The crack leads to a narrow, winding natural-looking cave system. Inside, it's quite dark. However, lurking outside is a fierce-looking brown-skinned humanoid with pointed ears and bright green eyes. The wild brownie is carrying a stone-tipped spear and wearing a jerkin of uncured hides and leather trousers. Next to him is a crude cart filled with glowing crystals. "Ahoy, travellers, and well met! Do you wish to go through the cavern? If so, I suggest you stop here and trade for one of my glow-crystals. I accept other ores and gems, coins, food, water, alcohol and jewellery. For a metal spear or arrow head, I'll give you two."

Everyone down here wants money apparently.

Freddie just gives the guy a rather flat and disinterested look.

And then snaps his fingers, causing a wisp of ghostly blue foxfire to ignite.

"I think we'll pass. We've got enough lightning as it is."

Woohoo!

Nothing beats the awe inspiring power of dancing lights!

Though maybe Cat wants one?

Necanth Prison- To The Graveyard

The brownie swears at the duo several times before lighting up. "How about I sell you the location of the first undead outpost along this route? I'll mark it on your maps in exchange for some food or goods. I haven't eaten in a few days; people don't go this way often, and the crystals are worthless where the prison's lights still work. I can't tell you where the others are; undead are creepy, and I don't get too close. Besides, most can see in the dark." Money buys food, and everybody wants food. People could just steal food or intimidate it out of the others, but that would mean constant war, rampant murder, and so on. Even the criminals don't want that, so they have a rudimentary economy- people mine, steal, forge, brew, sell and so on so that they can buy food from those controlling the pipes accessing the Food Production Facilities, and they in turn buy armour and weapons from the blacksmiths, armourers and craftsfolk, or somewhere decent to stay from those controlling cell blocks or the simple villages in some of the caverns.

The drow oomphs! and falls backwards. Turning to the other drow, they whisper hurriedly before placing a cloud of blackness around Tyalla's head. She may hear them running off.

If she can't shake off the darkness nor find the edge of it, then it's still okay. She can operate near perfectly on senses of smell and hearing.

And her senses tells her both drow are running. Possibly for more guards.

Not good.

I need to run. I can outrun any of them...

And she could. But not when holding Elkandar.

She shifts the drow to one paw only and drops onto her other three. It'll have to do.

Only pausing to ensure the door is unlocked, she bursts out, hoping to take both guards outside entirely by surprise, and be off before they can process seeing a giant wolf pop out of the home they were meant to be guarding.

She could manage a pretty good loping pace on three paws, but while it was still faster than most humanoids, it was a good deal slower than her usual top speed.

The drow guards, as it seems aren't there.

Maybe a meeting?

Who cares! Tyalla makes pace until the gates, where a sticky black fluid covers them.

Tyalla slows at the gates. Whatever it is could be flammable, or act as a trap. Either way, she wasn't about to take the risk. Is there a possible way around them? Or could she climb up a different part of the wall?

Necanth Prison- Cavern

"No! Not guard, inmate! Murder, murder, murder! Killed halfling, then dwarf, then elf! Elf tasty, dwarf not, halfling needed more salt." The thri-kreen keeps itself hidden, moving away from the light source and readying another razor-blade Frisbee.

Urgh so he is some kind of mass Murderer.

Zefir still tries to hide behind the stalagmite. A flashbang ready in his hand.

"And why are you here? If you can beat them you must be strong."

It's comepletely covered. But, it's only five-and -a-half feet high.

Cat will ponder it for a moment.
"It could be useful. What do you think, Fred?"
Not that Cat is one for charity, but she somewhat feels sorry for the people here.
Plus it's a useful thing to know.

Tyalla looks at it doubtfully. Maybe with a running leap?

Naw, I could jump that easily from a stand still!

But she had Elkandar. And Elkandar was everything. If she fell short and couldn't make it, if that stuff touched her and was some type of toxin, she didn't want to know what would happen to him!

Or us. Fairly sure we'd get in trouble too. But c'mon, that's an easy jump.

But what if-

Just jumping the ****ing thing!

Pressing Elkandar against her, she takes a few steps back, runs, and vaults. Assuming nothing else happens, then she'd clear it... mostly. Upon landing, her tail would whap back and into whatever the sticky stuff is.

Tyalla clears it! However, the goo is actually acid. Tyalla feels burning pain as her fur might be burned off.

She also sees a garden of large mushroom to the right, and a tunnel leading away from the house.

Freddie contemplates this for a few moments before finally nodding. "Alright, that could be useful information," he says as he begins fishing a few coins out of his pocket.

He has no booze on his person!

Which is too bad.

Since apparently booze is a form of currency here.

...

Necanth Prison- To The Graveyard

Everything that somebody wants is a form of currency here. Alcohol, knives, food, and water are all pretty safe bets if one chooses to barter properly rather than use coins of many different currencies. Ores, gemstones, and furniture are also popular, but less common.

"Excellent! Well, it's straight down this cavern, based around a natural pool of water, where an old metal door hangs from the ceiling. Bunch of ghouls and skeletons lurk in the water and jump anybody that comes along, using the door as a warning gong. You can go past their territory by climbing up the left-hand wall in the chamber with the guard uniform tied to a stalagmite. That'll take you to a narrow crack in the wall, sloping gently upwards. From there, you go straight ahead until you find the door. That will take you away from the Graveyard, where you'll be safe from the bloodsuckers and corpse-munchers. Relatively, anyway; I have a hidey-hole to escape their raids, but you're too big to use it and that's why it's safe." The brownie is telling the truth; he's not working with the undead to lure people into ambushes for a portion of their loot.

"Beat who? Elf was lost child, dwarf drunk, halfling asleep. When guards killed, ran and hid here. Safe here. Till you came. Leave me alone!" The thri-kreen's hiding too; he really does just want to be left alone. He's terrified of Zefir- thinks that the guy might be some hardened criminal with a kill count of over a hundred, whereas he's a coward who murdered and ate people that had no chance of resisting.

"Oooh, that does look good! I think I'll want to try one of those!" Dani declares, grinning cheerfully.

Carrie smiles, glancing at Sam to see what she's thinking about.

The pain weakens her hold over the wolf mind, but she struggles. For Elkandar's sake. If the wolf took over while she was still holding Elkandar...

She doesn't want to look behind her and see how much fur and flesh had been burned. That truly would cause the wolf rage, so she tightens her hold on Elkandar, and continues to run, into the tunnel.

Tyalla runs through the surprisingly nonpoisonous mushrooms. \

Maybe she soaks up some nature power from it?

Anyhoo!

Elkandar starts to be half-awake. Talla? T-tylla? He's slurring his words.

And then Tyalla might trip over a dark body, lying in the road.

Wouldn't that be nice? Unfortunately, she's very careful about that, and without a way to tell if they are poisonous or not, it isn't something she can do. Besides, the wolf-mind seems insistant that if she'd just let him stop and feed on a drow somewhere...

"Ruff!" She says happily when Elkandar speaks, and by now the translations in her own mind are vanishing. It's just a joyful bark.

Aaaand then she whacks a hind paw on a fallen creature, barely manages to keep from tripping, and whips around to snarl at it angrily.
