An Unchanging Reality (Take two)

Both shots miss, and the closer one approaches, climbing out of the window with his sword ready. As he gets his footing, he is suddenly caught by surprise by Dromet, and readies himself to attack the foe. The view of the other one is now blocked by the first, and the party can no longer see him for now.

Eophyn, a fair distance away from the fighting by now, has passed a few windows, and upon turning the corner can find the large and noticable archway that serves to show where the front door is.

The man dromet is fighting drops like a rock when his sword cuts clean into his chest, meanwhile the arrow that Serph fires finds its way past the archers leather armor, and makes a deep wound. The archer drops his weapon and quickly retreats back beyond the door, out of sight, blood leaving a trail behind him.

For those interested, he took a withdraw action to get away from you. Something about cutting his companion down with one hit might have scared him.

[Man on Fire]

Seeing the man retreat, Serph quickly climbs back down. "I suggest we run the hell out of here." He says to everybody. "Damn, I wanted to interrogate him." He points at the man Dromet just killed. "No time for it now, we need to move out. Where's Eophyn?"

"Better him than me," Dromet says. "I think she went this way," he continues as he heads toward the front of the house, stopping at the corner and peering around.

[Man on Fire]

"His chanes at getting you were so low it could be almost...inconceivable." Serph answers Dromet."Okay, we're going after Eophyn. We find her and then run the hell away from here." He says and runs the way Dromet pointed at.

This was strange. If they were coming to get them they should be here. Unless there is another door...

Quickly she sprints back to the others.

[Man on Fire]

"Good, we were looking for you. Everybody, there's no time, we run!" Serph says as they see Eophyn and then starts running as fast and as far away from that place as he can.

Her pay back will have to wait. She nods, "let's go."

Sorry, i thought you guys had more talking to do. Really out of it lately, i guess.

As the party finally attempts to leave, there appear to be no attempts at pursuit from within the mansion, where ever the man fled to, it seems like he had nobody else to support him. Leaving the forested area, following the path (I assume thats the way you'd choose) you find yourselves reaching a crossroads of sort, the path cutting off to hide the mansions presence from the mainroad. Reaching the main road, the party finds a couple of signs pointing in various directions on the mainroad, directing to Lightroot town, Samuria, and the Shrine of Angara. Coming from the path in the direction noted by the shrine, appears to be a man in pitch black armor, his face covered by his helmet.

"Careful, for all we know this guy might be working with our captors. Eophyn, go talk to him, we have your back." it was usual way of doing things with Serph, Eophyn and Dromet - she would do all the talking, they would try to stay quiet and look strong. Which meant that Dromet had to look strong for both of them.

It was night, near an enemy encampment, with a man in armor as dark as the night and Serp wanted her to talk to him... All she could do was give him the "are you crazy look?"

Serp should know if he real wants her to talk to him, he will have to egg her on a bit more.

[Man on Fire]

"What? you want me to talk to him? Remember last time that happened? Remember the Halfings?" Serph reffers to an old adventure of the three - they send him to try and intimidate group of Halfings to give the some food, which ended up with them almost getting burned at stake.

She raises her hand in defeat and begins to walk over to the stranger in black armor. She would have preferred to to have just avoided him all together. She she walked up she raised her right hand in a sign of peace, "Stranger, we are lost travelers may you provide some help?"

The mysterious man looked Eophyn straight in the eye, removing his helmet so she could see his face, and smiled at her. For some reason the smile sent shivers down her spine, as though she were looking into the eye of death himself. He cleared his throat and began to speak. "Why yes, of course i can help you. I've been making good time and i'm not expected in until well after midnight anyways. My name is Findo Gask, what can i help you with?" Now that you have closer examination, you can see symbols all over his armor, along with a pitch black greatsword strapped to his back. There is something about his eyes that scares you as you look into them though.

You can recognize the symbols on his armor as if they were those of a deity, but you cannot recognize what god they might possibly be attached to, assuming they are actually holy symbols.

Dromet will cast a baleful expression at Serp and then back at the dark horseman. "I don't know about this," he says to Serp in the lowest voice he thinks his companion can hear.

She takes a deep breath and asks, "Which way to the nearest town?"

He pointed in the direction one of the signs had pointed in. "Samuria is the closest town, its only about two hours walk from here"

Eophyn

She nods and says "Thank you." Whispering back to Serp, "Is there anything else you want to know?"

[Man on Fire]

"That's all, lets get away from him." Serph of course was scared of the guy as anyone else, his only reason to talk to him at all was that he would probably grew more interested in them or even suspicious or outright hostile if he saw them getting away from the road like bunch of robbers. Of course, he didn't trusted him at all.
