"Oh, you know, a bit of this and a bit of that. I'm just an all around helper." The cheer in her tone is in no way forced, sarcastic, or blindingly, obviously fake. Nosiree.

He'll feel Renetta's tail begin to wag as she presses into him. "Come on. Let's go lie down." She takes his paw to guide him over to the bed, stopping only to abandon her clothing. While she still wants to wear more clothing when she's out and about, there's no way she can sleep in a shift anymore.

Once they've both lied down, Renetta moves as close as she can to him while they can still look at each other. "I was thinking." She begins, sounding a tad uncertain. "About what Lily said. If Flamecrest would have any siblings."

"I... see. I didn't think we got those, umm... types making house calls all the way out here, especially with all the kids around. I don't really even know many people who could use those services."

Mintbalm almost misunderstands what Reinholdt means there up until the end. Lightening up? What did lightening up have to do with wishes or genies?

"I'm pretty sure anyone could find a use for a wish if they thought hard enough. Kids especially would probably wish for all kinds of things. Still, not everyone deserves one, so I usually walk around here for likely people, since everyone's so nice." Best to keep things as blunt as possible, so there would be no hilarious misunderstandings can occur. Maybe he just doesn't know what genies are.

Andy understands now a bit about the little thing. since it is so small he don't thinks that it is uncommon to eat so less. He will then go picking him up heading for the main room to place it on a pillow.

Mintbalm frowns, "The uniform kind of comes with the territory, I think. I wear other stuff when I'm off duty though." Which isn't very often. Mintbalm has to be constantly on the lookout for wishes to grant! *nodnod*

"Never wore a suit though. I guess what I should have said is that everyone I've met here is nice, and that it's supposed to be the place where all the do-gooders hang out. If anyone deserves something to make their lives easier, it's these people." That makes much more sense, right?

Mintbalm's smile doesn't wilt, but it does twitch slightly.

"Well, that's good to know. If you're not too busy, could you tell me who to avoid? Wouldn't want to mess up and give the wrong people a wish by mistake, right?" Twitch twitch. In her head, Mintbalm is wondering just why someone would call a place the Good League of Good if it was full of nasty people too.

"Well... ummm... hmm. I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable telling you who and who not to grant wishes to. I mean, I don't even know everyone here and I could only point out a few obvious cases." Reinholdt explains.

Mintbalm nods, "I can already see who deserves a wish for the most part, I just don't want to run into anyone unpleasant like that. If you describe them, it'll go a long way to making my job easier since I won't have to deal with nasty, possibly violent people who want a wish." She's neglected to mention his rather lacking aura of good deeds, deciding when she approached him that it wasn't her place to judge such things aloud. Just because he didn't do a lot of good doesn't mean that can't change.

"So obvious cases would definitely help!"

Reinholdt frowns a bit.
"Well there's this cat kid... Keo I think. Real nasty character. Don't let her youth fool you. And Tobias would far too easily use the wish for evil deeds in the name of good. Mmm... I might include Jamie too, just because she can get overzealous and cause herself as much harm as good, rather than for any misdeeds." Reinholdt says, off the top of his head. Adding descriptions of the people as necessary.

Assuming descriptions are given, Mintbalm will nod again, a genuine smile breaking out over her face.

"Thanks, I guess I was all worked up for nothing then." After all, if two of the nasties were just kids, she'd probably be able to hold her own if they got violent. Just have to watch out for Tobias then, and vamoose if he ever catches wind that wishes are afoot.

"Well, you helped me out a bit, which means I'm doubly endebted to this place this time. Anything I can do for you before I go? You... to be honest, you're not exactly the kind of person I'd give a wish to, but if it doesn't hurt anyone, I don't see the harm in it." That said, if he tries wishing for a BFG or something else obviously destructive, Mintbalm is well prepared to high-tail it out of there.

Hey, it's not Mintbalm's fault someone else got to him first. Stupid lousy ungrateful wish receiving cats.

"Well, I haven't really found something I couldn't do yet, so I see no reason I couldn't do that." Mintbalm concentrates on it and presto! Reinholdt should be a vampire no more!

Assuming everything went according to plan that is. Mintbalm has very little idea on how to reverse curses, but it should be no different from other wishes, right?

Those in the kitchen may see a tiny female dinosaur walking in. How can they tell it's female. Because it's pink of course! And it has a bow! Clearly it is a girl. Because that how these things work.

Having seen the giant two legger take it's friend into the big box, it followed.

"Rawr! Raaawr?"*My friend! Where are you? it calls out into the kitchen.

Before Andy can pick up the tiny dinosaur, he hears his friend's rawrs!

Grabbing the other leaf on the apple he goes over the edge of the counter and slides down the edge.
He smiles at his friend and tries to give her a dinosaur hug!

"I was on a roof, and a big shiny thing that smelled funny came down and landed next to me, and we snuggled and sunbathed, and it gave me this whit'ling knife out of its neck. And then I went hunting and found a badger. I had to hide. Badgers are scary."

She then turns her attention back to her whittling.

"I really hope this was worth the effort then. I'd hate for this to backlash on me later." It already seems to be working though, as Julie runs a hand along the smooth Chinese silks fondly, pulling the dress up to her chest and feeling its power thrum in response to her own.

"Seriously though Sophie, thank you for this. If it works, this could mean an entire new world for me." While she's still sitting sweaty and cross-legged, Julie leans forward and tries to circle Sophie's shoulders with a hug, pressing the dress between them.

Sophie hugs back, tired but happy.
You're welcome, Julie. It feels great to be able to help someone. Before coming to the Nexus, she had begun to lose hope, crushed by the oppressive helplessness of the World of Darkness. She doesn't mention it, though.

Ah well, a clue's a clue. The Dragonite senses her tone and attempts to pat her consolingly on the head. A good turn deserving another, it wonders how to repay the little goblin. Idea! It stands up to it's full height towering above the goblin child, but soon leans over to offer her a claw. "Dragonite?"<For helping me, would you like to fly?> it asks pointing a claw up to the sky above while flapping it's wings.

Brinika looks up at the dragon and once she figures out what he means, her ears droop slightly. Um, thank you dragon, but I'm scared of flying. She doesn't want to offend the nice dragon, but she really is.

"Well, the two main pruposes of GLoG are to provide charity for those in need and to help people seeking redemption. There is free room and board, a free infirmary, and a good community. There is also a redemption program for villains who want to turn away from their villainous ways."

"Sounds like a noble goal to me but shouldn't you be more central then? From my experience the poor tend to gather in the cities but admittedly I haven't been with humans outside cities much." Cessie says in a distracted tone.

"I'll admit I'm not too sure on the success rate or the history of the place... but apparently things have changed a lot since it was first founded. You would have to ask one of the council members if you wanted more specific information, sorry." She shrugs. "Well, anything else I can help you two with?"

Once the tea is brewed, Pathfinder pours some into a pair of wooden cups, offering one to Freddy. "Jasmine." He says. "And there are stranger creatures by far back home for me as well."

Lily nods off a bit after drinking her goat milk, and curls up on one of Pathfinder's furs to have a nap. The grownups can speak freely now!

Slumberparty

Waterstrider will end up sneaking off with Renetta when the time comes, not wanting to leave her side for a moment, especially with little Flamecrest to consider. On the way back to their hut, he'll nuzzle and nibble on her neck affectionately.

In the morning, Lily will wake to find Pathfinder awake as well, with his arms around both her and Tito as he smiles at them gently. Presumably after much cheer, they all wander off for breakfast and a new day.

The children decide, after much chattering between themselves, that they should make breakfast in bed for their parents. They scamper off to the kitchen and make dozens and dozens of pancakes, and push them in a trolly over the path and towards Poplar Cabin.

They were told that their parents wanted some alone time, and are vaguely aware that grownups like to do stuff together that involves clothes coming off, and that it means their parents are happy when they do it. But being apart from their parents for an entire night has the kids quite ready for a reunion. And what better way for a reunion than with food?

Pansy and Brand, for their part, know their children well enough to expect them to come barging in at any moment. The fact that they made it through the night without doing so is a good sign. There might have been nightmares or quarrels or even something as simple as rain to drive them in and make them want to be home. But none of that happened, and they're starting to wonder if they should go looking for their offspring, when the door bursts open and hugs and pancakes are given freely.

Lily tries to retell all the stories from last night, and Tito keeps correcting the details she "embellishes" in her way. Tito isn't really leaning on his mommy, because he's a big boy and he doesn't need to do that, but he's sort of just kind of really close to her. Lily makes no pretense, glomping her daddy and sitting in his lap through the entire meal.

Of course the finale of the meal is that the bedding and everyone's clothing has syrup splotches, and much laundry will need to be done. But nobody minds that.

Moonless Midnight; Probably Not the Best Idea To Put A Sword In the Hands of A psycho.

Marty is immune to all magic. It just doesn't work around him, part of a rather nasty curse. The sword is still very heavy and Marty needs both hands to raise the sword to her shoulderblades. I d-don't t-trust you!

[Moonless Midnight - I'm Not A Suit Of Rusty Armor!]

Clarissa doesn't resemble a full suit of oxidized plate steel armor missing a sherd or two here and there! Not at all! She may be wearing a pristine set of burnished Hel-metal armor, but that doesn't necessarily force her to fit into the stereotypical lump of models of defensive coverings that are commonly deemed untrustworthy!

But any level of embellishment will not augment this piece any more than it already has, so I'll move on for time's sake as the available posting minutes are bizarrely sparse as things stand (just one of the many glories of college life).

The recently bereft woman does not dally but delivers her speech as it was written regardless of whether or not her magic functions or not.

"It would behoove you not to impede my progress but to stand aside and fetch Quinn as fast as your dithering mind will allow for, as I tire of your company, mortal."

Woah! Valaira, is now honestly the best time to slap Marty around the ears with your god-voice?

Oh you poor dear! You really can't help yourself or contain it any longer, can you. Maybe that'll refurbish this bloke's frayed nerves better than any beneficial amount of therapy!

Now that Valaira feels that that she has thoroughly harangued Marty and that he won't be able to shake his guilt should he foolishly do anything rash, she continues to amble on over to the entrance of the Maple Cabin, fiery eyes wiped clean of tears, determined, hands hanging onto the notion that she will honor Zero before daybreak cometh.

And nothing will put a stop to those plans. Not this sad excuse for a man nor anybody else. Her name be cursed if it isn't so!
