If they're just curious, then I can just make something up to amuse them. Stories can be just as fun as history. He shrugs. I did tell the truth about my past, most of it, at least, to my pack in the first war... But... Not many people trying to help me.

Sophie folds her hands together.
I see... and would you be prepared to tell me? She asks rather matter-of-factly, not giving any indication as to what she expects.

Ask questions... alright. Sophie pauses. You can also ask me questions about my past, in the interest of fairness. I doubt it'll be interesting to you, of course. Now, first question: where were you born?

I'm not really sure... Either my twin and I were born on our mother's world and brought to England shortly thereafter or we were born on our father's estate and she left afterwards. He shrugs and studies his hands.

Your twin... you've never mentioned any siblings before. Anyway, you can ask me a question now if you want. The "question for a question" system worked well before.

Châlons-sur-Marne, a small town in north-eastern France, Sophie says. My father is a teacher and my mother runs a grocery store. Perfectly average, really.

You could say so. And now... what was your father like? Sophie asks, managing not to slip into a pseudo-German accent. Of course, she speaks with a French accent most of the time anyway.

Butler's goal is to make Vidalia feel so relaxed that she actually falls asleep during the massage. She seems tired enough that it's a possibility.

He was right in his assessment. She is very tired, and falls asleep quite easily. She even snores, in a cute, kinda purring way.

"You need to wash your hands," Tito says to Salix. "And the crab is kind of dirty too. We should chop it up in here and clean it before we take it out to the fire pit."

Presumably Salix will get some instruction for where and how to wash her hands. She marvels at the running water as she gets her hands... less dirty at least.

"I believe the idea is that they help 'evil' people to be 'good'. I'm coming for preventative treatment," the Huldra replies. "I suppose it would be better if I can avoid tumbling headlong into Discord in the first place."

That's usually advisable.

"Though I think most of the people who live here just kind of... live here. I'm not totally sure how it works."

Glog is a very silly place.

And then Quinn finally waves!

"Ah hello there Quinn," Freddie says as he pulls out some of the journals he and Cat snagged from the Witch. "I'm here with some unpleasant news."

That's the worst kind!

Quinn tilts her head curiously, nodding to Freddie and Cat. "What sort of news might that be?"

Freddie gestures at the journals and scrolls.

"We had been asked by some villagers to clear a Witch and her servants out of a barrow. She had been kidnapping people and generally causing trouble. Inside we found-"

He points at a diagram of the Agony Engine.

It looks like some sort of torture device that one might find on the lower planes.

"-that thing. And from what we've gathered it wasn't her idea, either. She's serving someone else. Someone with projects just as bad as this one scattered all over the Nexus. And one of those projects is using Boggarts to kidnap children for a no doubt nefarious purpose."

So very nefarious.

"We're trying to figure out who this master is. And what he's doing. And trying to thwart some of these projects of his. And... I guess warning you to be on the look-out for Boggarts skulking about in the woods around here."

Quinn blinks in surprise, then shrugs. And follows!

...while at the same time staying to check on Marty...

Marty is lying there, drugged.

"We're going to try and stop this before it gets out of hand."

Waterstrider smiles a bit when Lily falls asleep on one of the beds, and he carries his daughter over to another before laying down on his back and keeping Flamecrest on his chest. He can't help but love her deeply as he looks into her beautiful eyes and stroke her neck and back gently. "She's so beautiful..." He whispers to Renetta distractedly.

Outside the Main Cabin

Pathfinder leaves the cooks to their duties before he begins wandering through the camp ground once more, looking everything over and breathing deeply of the fresh air. It was strange how he'd started to think of this place as home.

The welfen cub yawns and nuzzles her head into Waterstrider's chest. Her little paws grab hold of his fur

Renetta lies beside Waterstrider and rests her head on his shoulder. "She really is." She touches her daughter's paw.

[Outside the Main Cabin]

Reelshka, as it happens, is passing by there. She smiles when she sees Pathfinder and heads in his direction... but then she sees his bandaged paw. She quickens her pace, concerned.

Rowan Cabin

Kate walks up to Rowan Cabin! Finally! It only took DAYS for her to get back here, not to mention the fact that-

Wait, why was she at Rowan Cabin? There was something-

OH right, talk to Julie. Kate shakes her head. This had not been her week.

Week? Had it been a week? More than a week? Maybe only five days? Or...

Kate knocks on the cabin door. She came here to talk with her friend, and that's what she was going to do!

Julie, having been mostly keeping to herself these days while she took care of the kids alongside Eric, is quick to open the door, and looking very grateful for the company.

The succubus is looking as she always does, flawlessly feminine and curvy, although with the addition of a baby in her arms one can overlook that much more easily. The baby in question is little Prism, looking very mature for her age at about one year old growth wise.

"Kate! You're looking... is everything alright? You seem a bit distracted." Not to mention any physical changes that might be lingering after the crazy pixie stuff happened.

Quinn frowns, and runs one of the medical scanners over Marty.

"I do, huh? Doesn't surprise me. This hasn't been my... I don't even know. I know it's been more than one day, and that stretch of time hasn't been my... more than one day." Julie might notice that Kate is two inches short.

Kate will look at little Prism. "Hello, there. How are you?" She continues to look at Prism while talking to Julie. "What's her name? I can't think of it. Sorry."

Fredrick looks... puzzled? "You mean Pathfinder didn't tell you yet?"

He was under the impression that Pathfinder was in charge of this sort of thing! Though maybe not? Ah well.

"Eerr... they're a kind of discord. Sort of like me, I suppose. Though a little less likely to be pleasant."

Or rather a lot less likely.

"They look like little sooty black imps. They tend to play pranks and generally cause mischief. Though if they're feeling particularly spited they will steal away children and turn them into new Boggarts."

And that's terrible.

Rowan Cabin

Julie steps back so that Kate can come inside, her smile fading a bit with worry, "I can see that. This is Prism, since you've forgotten. Scylla is sound asleep in the back room, and Eric is out at the moment tending to some business. Please, come in and tell me what's got you so distracted."

Julie does notice Kate's shortness, but only because she can pick out the signs of her clothes not fitting properly. Julie tailored that shirt herself, and knows it shouldn't be hanging that loose. Something's definitely going on here.

Prism turns around a bit in Julie's arms to stare at Kate silently, although that's not to say she doesn't express herself. The scaly little far-demoness bunches up a hand and a ray of blue and yellow light twists around her merrily outside of her normal shimmering aura.

Julie coos at the sight and runs her hand through the wispy black hair atop her child's head, "She's getting very good at that these days."

Kate say "Thank you" and steps inside. Then Prism does her little thing, distracting Kate. "What is she doing?"
