The Bran was funny as a very dark pun.

Personally I'd say of Joffrey: BBEG, does not have to be competent to be memorable. Or something to that effect but hopefully wittier.

Not... really, no. But one of the more impressive things Martin accomplishes as a writer is giving Jaime POV chapters and a plot that actually make you sympathize with him to some degree and understand his choices (without requiring that you agree with him or condone those choices) when his introduction involved incest and attempted child-murder.

And still vehemently disagree he has become a good man. A better man, sure, but I haven't seen him do anything actually good (edit: Save Brienne was good. Forgot that one for a second, still not enough for me though). Nor has he felt guilt for his past actions. Hopefully he will before he ends though. Also he was vilified for being so bloody arrogant that he didn't tell anyone what Aerys was planning. No **** folks will think little of you when they don't know the full story. And that doesn't excuse at all what he became.

Anyway, what I'm curious about is why should Paladin Jaime be a meme? I don't get it.
