the thing with EDH is that though you can only use one of each card, except for a few banded ones all cards from any set are available. Ergo with any concievable type of deck that might not work under normal circumstances, you might be able to do it in EDH because even if a type of card (such as an artifact that gives you 3 colors of mana) is only once every 3 sets, you can still use one of each.

That is also why EDH is so popular, because it allows you to do things you cant do in standard (in which you are restricted to the current set, last set, and most recent Core set).

Ally's also go in that colum. The bonuses start out small, but when that 1/1 you summoned at the start of the game is a 20/20 first strike vigilance healbot, you get banned so hard.
At least with Allies, the other guy knows if he kills you quickly enough the bonuses are minor. For example, standing up to a direct damage deck/deck with dispells is really hard, but other duration decks get stomped on like children, and woe betide oponents who suffer the dreaded depo.

No, the lands just make it more expensive to get the deck in motion. If you run a full set of shocks (or, in rarer cases, ABUR duals) and fetches and a few other rainbow lands like Reflecting Pool and Command tower, and there is almost no trouble with mana fixing at all. I personally don't have a problem with sliver decks, but that's mostly because I'm the other That Guy at the table, though not playing a hated archetype.

And sorry for thread derailment. I'll see what I can do about more Demotivators...

The thing is, while that is only a mild explicative, and the rules say that only excessive cursing is disallowed, posting an explicative in a picture is strictly disallowed, as it is considered "Circumventing the Board Filter", which is a big no-no. Your original post is fine, as it's mild and only a single case, but if I were to repost it as is (even though the word isn't blocked by the filter), it could be considered circumventing and I would be the one to get in trouble.

Actually I was a fan of the original series, but I liked Brotherhood BETTER than the original. It seemed more whole and complete, while the original was a bit disjointed. I also liked the explanation of alchemy/alkahestry better in Brotherhood than the ova.

Also I am told that Brotherhood followed much closer to the original manga

The original anime was made while the manga was still ongoing, when they caught up to the manga they had to make up their own storyline. Brotherhood was made after the manga was finished and is a faithful adaptation of it, with a few changes to avoid too much repetition from the original anime (I think the start of the manga goes like the original anime and Brotherhood makes a new one).
