Re: Elemental's Excitingly Excellent Random Banter: No.CLXXVII
Yeah, I did that for the release of Throne of Bhaal. I couldn't believe how sucky it was, given that I'd enjoyed it so much previously.

My computer can not even run League of Legends. Let alone Diablo III.

I'm tempted to convert an essay into Wingdings and submit that; "It was the computer's fault"

and Heaven in a wild flower
To hold infinity in the palm of your hand
and eternity in an hour.

Re: Elemental's Excitingly Excellent Random Banter: No.CLXXVII
You may have noticed that I didn't make my obligatory Panic Post this morning.
That's because I was actually feeling pretty good about this paper. I had a few solid topics, and I was reasonably certain one of my favourite subjects would come up.
Then my brain shut down. Seriously. It didn't wake up until ten o'clock or a little after. I felt it wake up.
This was a wee bit problematic because the exam started at half nine, leaving me with one question that I really wanted to do, but needed to let the quotation percolate in my mind some, and one question that I just knew I could do.
So obviously I wanted to do that one first.
Except the quotation had a lead at the bottom - "Discuss vision OR ignorance". Which was a problem as my brain had shut down and refused to consider 'vision' as anything other than dream visions/prophetic visions and so forth. This had me sitting there, staring dismally at the paper, because while I had material on other things I had a lot that could be discussed and or twisted in being about ignorance.
Then my brain turned on and I realised that in the context of the quotation 'vision' meant sight. With eyes and things.
Once I'd figured that out I was away and happy. I barely even touched on his Tales either.
Dum Kurlee iz dum.
Twelve hours down. Eight and a quarter to go.
At least I got a lunch date in just under an hour.

Re: Elemental's Excitingly Excellent Random Banter: No.CLXXVII
My school has a tradition of a "Senior Prank".
This year, all the seniors covered the benches in the lobby in plastic wrap, and fenced off an area of the lobby with plastic wrap in which to have a loud-music party before school started.
What. Honestly, that's pathetic. They should have used bubblewrap and done all the floors.

Re: Elemental's Excitingly Excellent Random Banter: No.CLXXVII
I like this idea far more than I should.
This makes no sense, I'm one year older than you and I'm a freshman.
Well, I don't plan on being horrible to them ... Back when I was a freshman I wasn't bullied per se, but the 12th graders when I was in 9th were just ... *******s. *******s is a good word for it. Anyway, I swore to myself that'd I'd be nice to the underclassmen when I was a senior. Not a week into sophomore year I found myself pretty annoyed with the new freshman. Bumbling fools. But they grew on me, or at least some of them. Probably somewhere around 20 or so. This year only about 10 of the freshmen have managed to not annoy me. I am infuriated by both classes in general though. I'll probably just ignore the new freshmen.
EDIT: Huh. Didn't think that word was banned.

Re: Elemental's Excitingly Excellent Random Banter: No.CLXXVII
Of all the games it has recorded, I have 4 wins and 1 loss. The game I just played would have made the 5th win, but it wasn't recorded due to early abandonment. That 1 loss was the very first game I played, where I was throughly trounced. I went away with my tail between my legs to lick my wounds, then practice up on botmatches for quite a while (stats for these are not recorded either, but the win to loss ratio wasn't that good at the start...) before returning to the fray.
Since returning to regular, non-botmatches, I haven't lost yet. But I don't think this has anything to do with skill, I'm a total newb, but rather luck and good teamwork.

I second this notion. I once shook all about throughout my whole job interview at the asylum, and it got me the job. They even gave me an office with these cool padded walls that I could bounce off of if I wanted to. Good times.
