    Alistar

Feeling much better after being healed by Fermor, Alistar ends up spending the time playing around with a number of the kobold children. There is at least one game of "Dogpile on Alistar," and a game of "Ride the Wolf around the room" is interrupted when the adult kobold object very strongly to the presence of said wolf.

By the time the feast begins, Alistar has half dozen of the kids curled up in various placed around/on him. That is including an especially little one that somehow managed to climb up on his head and curl up there. He eats a bit of everything, but definitely favors the meat. This includes taking a fair bit of Tartuk to go with his heart. He doesn't say much during the feast, not even when he hears the rest of the group start discussing things with the chief. (Though be fair, eating while keeping a small, sleeping kobold balanced on your head is difficult enough without also trying to have a conversation.)

The chief rubs his chin. "Pacify these lands... Hurrr... How long with this treaty of yours last?" He asks Roqoan and Fa'el. "What guarantee we have you don't ignore it when all others in these lands are pacified, and go kobold hunting? Today you might want our help. Tomorrow? Maybe you don't remember our help."

He turns to Maple. "Used to be, hills for many plorfs around were our range. Now there are one of us where there were four before. War with dwarf-thing and bandits that drove out mites killed some. Tartuk's false sacrifices did for the others. We don't control much at all."

"Say this for Tartuk, at least. He always knew where to raid wagons that came through. Got us enough food to stay alive, at least. Thought his stupid god was telling him this, but his god turned out false, so no clue."

    Roqoan

Roqoan gives Brin a barely noticable nod and starts speaking to Chief Sootscale again.
"I wouldn't need to give you any guarantees that we will keep ourselves to our end of the bargain. By the time we've pacified these lands, you and your tribe will have become unmissable assets of the Stolen Lands.
If you start trading with Oleg and other people in the Stolen Lands, you will become an important part of the network here. And people wont just suddenly decide to start hunting valuable trade partners

Besides, once you feel that your tribe is ready for it, you could start recruiting other Kobolds or even whole tribes to strengthen yourself. More Kobolds means more people to mine silver or gather other trade goods. Wich means more money for you. You could use that to buy luxuries or weapons to defend yourselves.

If you want we can take a few of your tribe with us back to Oleg's Trading Post to formally introduce your tribe and it's potential. We'll help you negotiate for supplies to start mining, food, valuable other supplies,...
Maybe Oleg will agree to let your tribe set up a shop in his trading post.

All of this are things we can help you with.
Make an alliance with us and you wont regret it. When our power in these lands grows, so will your power grow. This alliance will make us both more powerfull than we could have been alone. And we both wont be able to afford it to betray the other. Trade and the help we get from the other will have become too important."

Brin smiles faintly she knew the archers at the post were rookies at best and they would be lucky to hit a barn at 5 paces, though facing armored mercenaries would be suicide. Looking thoughtfully at the kobold chieften she carefully chooses her words, knowing that she would somehow say something inappropriate otherwise. Oddly enough she felt relatively at ease her she was taller than the someone (for once) and she had a feeling they would care less about her face given that they would have a different definition of beauty. "My dear chieften, you can be rest assured that I will accompany your envoys and prevent them from coming into arms way. " as a symbolic gesture she picks up her bow and lays it on the table "You have my bow."

"The papers are ready, if everybody could sign them please.
First Chief Sootscale and Micmac as his witness. After that the six of us will sign.
Don't forget to sign all three copies of the papers."

Roqoan offers his inkpen to Chief Sootscale and gives him the three sheets of paper. Chief Sootscale can read the following in common and draconic:

    STOLEN LANDS ALLIANCE

This document describes the agreement between the group currently known as 'The Pacifiers' and the tribe of Kobolds known as 'The Sootscale Tribe'.

    The pacifiers currently consist of:

    - Fae'l (Witness and co-signer)

Chief Sootscale reads the treaty slowly and carefully.

He crosses out "religion" on the list of things the Pacifiers will supply. "We have had enough religion for a while. When it is time for a new shaman, we will take care of it."

Then he signs it... And the celebrations continue late, late into the night until you fall asleep in the furs provided by the friendly kobolds.

When you wake, far into the late morning, you find most of the tribe asleep. The ones who aren't explain (In draconic, translated by Roqoan,) that most of the tribe sleeps by day. Only a few watchers are left up to make sure nothing horrible happens.

After an uneventful day among snoring kobolds, they finally start to wake once the sun is about down. A group of five sturdy kobolds (including Micmac), don heavy packs and follow you outside.

"Post northeasty of moonradish patch," he says, gnawing his lip. "Take two, two and half days to get there, thinking."

    Roqoan

Roqoan seems calm and relaxed on the outside, but he's very tense on the inside. Once Chief Sootscale puts his autograph he relaxes. He's very, very happy. This is the first big step on the way to a kingdom.
Before this they've only proved to the people in Brevoy that they could kill bandits, a feat that others have done before them. But now they've used diplomacy as a weapon to get things done. Now they've bound a tribe of Kobolds to them as a base of power.
    This will shift the balance.

Roqoan sleeps very well that night after the party.
He wakes up and sees the Kobolds with their packs and hears them talk about a moonradish patch.
"Did you say moonradishes? Because we were asked by Svetlana to collect at least three bushels of moonradishes. And i don't think she'd mind if we brought a bit more.
Perhaps you could lead us to those moonradishes on the way to Oleg's?"
    He asks Micmac.

    Spoiler
    Show
The moonradishes were a quest from the notice board at Oleg's. Reward of 250 gp if we pick them up on the way to Oleg's.

And we also finished a quest to find a solution for the Kobolds.
Reward for that is 800 gp.

"Uh, sure," Says Micmac. "We can gets radishes on way. Patch low this time of year, but probably 'nuff."

The first night out is uneventful. It's weird traveling in darkness, but enough of you have ways to see in the night that it's not a big deal. Too, the kobolds are on point, and know a ton of sneaky ways through the hills that minimize exposure.

The first day out you take a curving path easterly and north. "Going around old tree," Micmac explains. "Mites were there. Now dwarf's people are." Camping that day is uneventful, though it feels a bit odd to be sleeping during the day.

The next night, you start to descend out of the hills. You don't QUITE make the plains, but the way definitely gets easier.

Camp that day is on a rocky steppe that's sheltered from the winds. The day is dry and hot.

    That day...

    Maple

    Sleeping away,

"...are the... Kobolds playing... Jump the Alister? 1 Kobold, 2 Kobold, 3 Kob-"

Maple hears and knows nothing of what is going on past her dream realm.

    Roqoan

Roqoan wakes up disoriented for a moment.
Travelling at night and sleeping during the day made for a weird schedule, so at first he's not sure what's happening.
When he hears Brin shout 'BUG!' he immediatly gets out of his bedroll.
