    (Edge of the Hunting Grounds)
The shadow Fade manages to blow away the dust but a couple of seconds is all it takes. Within the dust contains the smell of poisonous pollen which, if inhaled will begin to drain the energy of Fade.

Aladar seems to have ignored his words, Fenghar on the other hand seems to even more angry due to Fade underestimating their abilities. Fenghar rushes for Fade whilst Aladar seems to have disappeared within the shadows.

The shadow Fade is to far away to have any problems with the poles for now. Aladar dissapeared into the shadows? Bad idea Fade is a creature of the shadow and able to see in them like we do in light. So the giant shadow will slam down his fist at Aladar wherever he is right now.

Fade makes a few steps back from the dust, more cause he needs some more space between him and the enemies then the polls. As he managed enough space he will prepare for the impact.

    Clearing in the Forest

Trisha draws her blade as soon as the clearing is closed off and the voice rings out. It's only after it explains itself that she calms slightly. She gives Michicora a wary glance before slowly striding through the various statues, looking them over. "Any in particular? Single combatants might be easier, but we won't be as likely to be rewarded well." She explains.

    Icy Glacier

The Being of Funk growls in annoyance at the creature's obviously futile attempts to make it bleed out and tries to backhand What's face with his free hand. Of course, the Groovy Avatar wouldn't call it a backhand per se, more of a slap. A P-Slap to be precise. Not that there's any true mechanical difference to the technique, it's just his preferred terminology.

Even if he'd never admit it.

Oh, and it appears as if the several cuts and stabbings cause it to bleed a thick silver liquid.

    Rainforest

Furball gives a roar of pain as the beast gores his stomach, but he'll use it to his advantage to drop his hammer to get a grip of it's head. He'll attempt to pull it away from himself, ignoring the agony of the wound and begin to squeeze his massive paws together, grunting as he tries to crush the thick skull in front of him. Unless it's particularly thick, it should begin to crack at least.

Fenghar jumps into the air, directly over Fade and as he comes down he summons a vast number of rats by vomitting them from his mouth, aiming for them to rain down on Fade and nibble on his skin.

Fade goes to hit some of the rats away and, they either should burst or fly high away. After all Fade can't avoid all and will get some small wounds.

As Aladar disapears the giant change his target Fenghar, who is in the air will get bot hands from shadow Fade who tries to clap him like a fly.

Fenghar is hit by Shadow Fade's clap attack and falls to the ground but before he's hit Aladar manages to spot him in the air which immediately causes Fenghar's body to glow blue.
Fenghar rises from the ground slowly, his body no longer glowing, injured but still able to fight. He charges for Fade whilst the last of the rats make their way to him and the majority of them are dead which encourages Fenghar to destroy Fade.
Aladar finishes the summoning of the zombies and commands them to attack Fade whilst dispersing into flowers at the same time.

Acacia slowly gets to her feet, taking the glaive that's been strapped to her back all this time (and which left some really nasty bruises along her spine from the smash and fall) and moves to circle the combatants and get behind the Razorback. She's too badly wounded to move fast though, so she wont get there this round.

As the shadow giant notice the Zombies he disappear and a human sized shadow slides over the ground hitting the Zombies shadows. Their shadows should animate and fight their owner. (This works only against mindless enemies like... well Zombies. Unless their Zombies have some own will.)

In the moment the shadow disappears Fade's strength seems to be gone and the last rat falling from top gets just norm hit. Then a white and a black bubble appear in fades hand moving away from it and forming a Sword with one side of the edge g looming white while the other one is black. With this sword of light and shadow in his hand he goes for the attacking Fenghar trying to land a good hit at him.

Shadow Fade, temporarily distracted allows Aladar to disperse from there and head towards Fenghar and Fade's area.
Fenghar continues to charge at Fade but appears to be more focused than angry.
He disperses right before coming in contact with Fade and if successful reforms directly behind Fade and attempts to spin around, landing a punch directly to the head.
By this point Aladar would've already reformed in front of Fade, bent low towards the ground and would attempt to spin and kicking Fade's feet in an attempt to trip him.

Unfortunately, crabs have thick exoskeletons, though there are weak points at the joints of the limbs, the eyes (although good luck trying to hit one deliberately) and the abdomen's thinner, but most of the blows bounce off. One or two lodge in the carcinos's leg-joints, causing it to screech in pain and flail wildly. If Braun has an enchantment on that scimitar, he may be able to penetrate the carcinos's back-plate, which is otherwise one of the thicker parts of the chitinous exoskeleton.

The rewards meant nothing to the huntress, serving the people and her god was reward enough. But at least fighting would get her out of here apparently.
"I just want to get out of here. Take whatever you think is easiest to fight and if not that, the heart." For some reason she found that the simplest choice. If the enemy had an heart at least you knew it had a weak point. Not like the undead or the spirits she used to night.

    [Stormy Peak]

Damon lets out an amused hiss at the beastie's reaction to the fire.

    Perfect.

He halts and backs off, staying clear off the dragon as it blasts the fire with gusts of wind. Don't want to get caught up in that. Another ball of black fire forms in his hand, but he holds off on throwing it yet. His foe clearly dislikes fire, but at the same time blasting wind about like that means it can easily deflect his shots if it sees them coming...

So for now Damon decides to try and divert its attention. Black fire starts to spread out around him, creating an area of darkness around him that spreads along with it. If fire is such a threat, maybe the dragon will seek to deal with this before it spreads too far...and that might give Damon another opening...

    [Clearing in the Forest]

The flower woman statue is touched.

    "The choice has been made."

The statues all slowly fade away, leaving the clearing empty for a moment or two.

Then in the very centre of the clearing, the ground begins to rumble. It cracks open, and the stalk of a plant rapidly extends out of it, leaves quickly growing and stretching out. Then, the flower. Row upon row of petals emerge, all in a rather fetching light shade of blue, with hints of purple at the tips. Quite an attractive sight for a bee, presumably...

And at the centre of the flower, another attractive sight...but not for bees. The lady that slowly uncurls and stands is almost unnaturally beautiful, her skin flawless. The petals themselves just barely reach high enough to cover her lower half, hinting temptingly at what lies beneath. Her upper half is entirely uncovered, laid bare for all to see... The woman lets out a quiet "Aaaah!" as she stretches, running her hands through her long, lilac hair. As she turns her head first one way then the other, looking around, her hair swishes along behind her. As she sees the huntress and bounty hunter, the woman smiles and stares at them, reaching out with one hand and beckoning for them to come closer.

    Quite the display.

One that is undoubtedly wasted here, however, but this particular plant only really has the one trick. It usually works rather well on its prey.

If Fenghar landed a hit on Fade's skin then he's in serious trouble. Fenghar isn't allowed to touch anyone because who ever he touches is immediately affected by a disease which numbs that area of the body which he hits and the person will eventually no longer be able to use that part of his body and he hit the most dangerous place. The head.

Aladar is hit on the shoulder but easily pulls out the weapon, still holding it in his hand. The damage dealt isn't vital because Fade didn't hit a vital area but also because Fade's abilities allow the damage dealt to be reduced (which explains why Fenghar didn't die from the clap attack).
Aladar attempts to pull the weapon close to him but past the side of his body which would, if successful, pull Fade forward as well. After that, Aladar would attempt to grab Fade by the neck and slam him into the ground.

Fenghar runs over, jumping next to the pile of defeated rats as shadow Fade creates his fire breath attack. When it's fired it manages to deal alot of damage to Fenghar. Fortunately he manages to use the rats to cover the majority of his skin so it doesn't do any damage to it but the heat produced and the rats insulating the heat causes Fenghar to try and evade the fire breath as much as possible. He jumps on a tree and looks around, noticing the burning rats on his skin then throws them off, aiming them at Fade.

The burns will do damage to his hands but he doesn't focus on that.

The situation here was pretty clear so Michicora don't feel uncomfortable at all looking at this woman. She was a prey and that was it. Spirits in her world did tend to take the form of beautiful women so the huntress had to adept to it or die, that was the way of the hunt. Either you're the hunter or the prey.

An arrow already pulled against the string when Trisha touched the statue she fires it against the woman's chest as soon as she thinks she got a clear shoot. Not really giving her much time for her display.

It's a vast and varied place, the hunting grounds. From the briny depths of the monster-infested sea to the vast expanses of the deadly monster-infested plains, there's no end of sights to see and things to kill. Doubtless there's no shortage of interesting rock formations for Finbar to photograph either, not up amidst the stony mountain ranges and the valleys that divide them.

Great place for wildlife photography too, if you're willing to risk a brutal death at the hands of the wildlife.

Unfortunately, getting there means marching back through the damn desert. God the triplets hate the desert. Just sand, sand, sand as far as the eye can see, irritating their eyes with every gust of wind, seeping down into their boots with ever step they take, getting everywhere and ruining everything. The sun beating down on them from the cloudless sky doesn't help either, stealing the moisture from the air and slowly burning all that falls under it's rays.

It's a long, miserable walk from here to the mountains for Finbar and the triplets. But who knows? They could get lucky. Something could try to kill them on the way there.

Trisha backs up and draws her sword right after she touches the creature, but she can't help but darken a bit when it goes on display, flushed in embarassment. She had known the woman-thing would be nude, but she hadn't expected such a display, let alone a close one. Wasn't the thing supposed to attack them?

Her guard is a bit sloppy when she finally manages to get it up, keeping her zweihander in a low guard with the point downward. For now, she keeps herself between the flower and Michicora, ready to protect herself and her new found ally.

The arrow flies towards the woman...

But she has the good sense to duck when she sees Michicora fire, the flower closing up around her protectively.

The arrow grazes past, leaving a small cut on the woman's shoulder. She screeches and clutches at the wound as the flower unfolds once more. For a moment or two she gives Michicora a very sad, hurt look, as if shocked that she would be fired at when she only sought to provide pleasure...

    Then she hisses loudly.

Yeah, seems the plant's realised that its usual trickery won't be working here.

There's a rumbling in the ground beneath Michicora and Trisha for a moment before sharp, viciously spiked vines burst out of the ground, one aimed at each of them. The end of the vine is a wicked point and each one shoots straight up, aiming to skewer the two of them...

The arrow and the hissing snaps the Champion out of her embarassment, and while the rumbling catches her off guard, she leaps out of the way. Only mostly though. The point spears through her left calf, making her cry out in pain before she drops her sword to draw a dagger from her waist to hack at the vine. While it hurt, she was more shocked at the appearance of the tentacle than anything. Tentacles, flower girl, and two huntresses...sounds like a story a Champion of Lust would write. Badly.

    [Moving Towards the Mountains]

Due to the intense heat of the desert, Finbar has removed his sweatshirt and placed it in his massive backpack (which seems to always be able to accommodate more stuff, no matter how many things he packs). He is extremely tired and thirsty, as he has been trying to ration his water supply. He does not seem to be taking the blistering heat very well, and the skip he does during every ninth step is becoming more and more pathetic looking. All the way, however, he is clicking his empty zippo lighter. He'll remain silent unless the triplets attempt to start a conversation.

A good hundred meters or so away, however, the horns of a Fyarl demon may be spotted sticking out of the ground; the lumbering, eight-foot tall humanoid has buried itself deep in the sand, and in its current position its horns look liked wilted desert plants or oddly shaped stones. It'll remain unmoving unless the group unwittingly wanders too close.

Under better circumstances the triplets might have noticed the buried demon, as they watch the horizon for any sign of monsters scuttling towards them or bidding beyond the next dune. But they aren't precisely in top condition right now thanks to the grueling journey and with the heat distortion rendering everything indistinct, they assume the horns poking up from the ground to be nothing more than mere rocks.

Unless Finbar spots it and stops them, the three will blunder right into the ambush.

Not that there's any true mechanical difference to the technique, it's just his preferred terminology.

Oh, and it appears as if the several cuts and stabbings cause it to bleed a thick silver liquid.

No. You are not going to win this. No, no, no! What doesn't die! He fights, and he wins! He's not having his head caved in with the slap of some flamboyant elemental monster! Never! NEVER! This is wrong, all wrong! You cheated! That's not how things are supposed to go! A disco elemental of all things, crushing the living nightmare that is What Pumpkin? Impossible! Never!

    WHAT

    DOES

    NOT

    DIE!

What twitches and twists in immaculate fury, and then just as abruptly, comes to a dead halt. There's hardly anything left of his head. Pumpkin seeds and that orange pulpy goop stuff is scattered across the ice beside our mindless psychopath. A liquid that might very well be mercury is dripping onto his frost-coated suit. This is it, folks. The end for What Pumpkin. I'm pretty sure he didn't hold out long enough to warrant a Goddess-approved revival, too. He was fun while he lasted, but since there's no chance of finding any fresh pumpkins all the way out here, I don't think-

    no

Not while there's still some amount of gourd still left intact. Not while there's still cloth to embody this malevolent force of destruction, or blades with which to wreak bloody havoc. Not until every last living being is wiped right off the face of the Nexus, until nothing stands, flies, wriggles or crawls. Never.

He lunges. What tries to pierce the Elemental's head with a bayonet before either of them can hit the ground, and then, with the help of Mjölnir, smash it through the Elemental's disco ball, all the way up to the hilt. It's the very last thing he'll be doing in this lifetime, you can be sure he's desperate to make it work.

Finbar does indeed spot the horns, but like the triplets believes it to be little more than rocks. But they're rather interesting rocks. They're curved and slightly pointed, almost like a stalagmite that continually curled around its base rather than just rising upwards. He'll ask to take a break in order to get a quick snapshot of the rocks (which will look extremely nice with the sun in the late afternoon sky in the background).

Assuming they say yes, he'll kneel right up next to the horns and take the picture. A split second later, the monster will launch itself right out of the desert; a flash of reddish bony plating covering a gorilla-like form with horns jumps roughly five feet into the air, and will position itself so that it will land atop of Finbar (without killing him, for now). Finbar will be unable to react quickly enough to move out of the way, unless the twins are very quick on their feet.

If they say the group should keep moving to get reach the Hunting Grounds, the Fyarl demon won't leave its hiding place until the group passes it, at which point it'll eject itself from the ground and attack the closest of the twins.

Trisha will find the vine easy enough to hack through. Takes a couple of swings, but nothing too serious. Of course, as well as being viciously sharp at the end, the vines has spikes along its length, so it's probably going to be rather unpleasant to pull the rest out of the wound when she gets round to that.

The remaining part of the vine writhes about for a few moments, then retreats back underground.

Meanwhile, the woman is kinda stuck where the flower is. She's a sitting duck for Michicora's arr-

More ground rumblings, and several vines rise out of the ground, coiling round the flower to provide some added protection, though of course the vines themselves can't withstand all that much punishment.

Still, this takes a little bit of time, and the next arrow strikes true, burying itself deep in the poor flower-lady's side stomach. She looks down and screams, reaching down and yanking at the arrow as she tries to pull it out. As the vines coil round the plant, there is a few more moments where the flower-lady is visible, and peculiarly there seems to be no sign of blood around the arrow wound.

Meanwhile, the vine that attacked Michicora lashes out after her, seeking to wrap itself round her leg and yank hard to knock her off balance.

    Heading for the Mountains

As Finbar's paying for this expedition, he's the one running the show. If he wants to stop and take a few pictures the triplets won't stop him. Considering all the trouble this causes, perhaps they should have.

As the demon gorilla hurtles out of the earth towards Finbar, First throws himself forward as well, trying to grab their employer and pull him out of the way before the photographer is stomped to jelly, render in twain or otherwise murdered. Perhaps a suprising action on the part of a mercenary who's already been paid and thus has no reason to further endanger his life, but the triplets are nothing if not loyal.

His brothers pause only to draw blades before rushing in, the beast's proximity to no less than two allies ruling out ranged attack. One aims a slash at the beast's legs with his sickle, Alpha lunging in an instant later to try and tackle the Fyarl Demon of it's feet entirely.
