While the spears are all aimed at him they aren't lined up in a perfect formation either are not spaced out enough for him to slip past. The half-dragon will have to make a swing to cut off the heads of at least some of the spears to get past.

This however gives the spirit time to unleash it's second line of defense which are two huge zweihänder-like swords which likely been wielded by some sort of giants (or white haired-pretty boys). They will slash against Harnel in a scissor-like move, aiming to cut him right at the middle. Meanwhile it once again attempts to but up it's shields as a defense to not leave it completely defenseless against Harnel's next incoming attack.

Meanwhile the other weapons desperately tries to seek weak points of his armor to somehow cause some injury which might disrupt him.

The adrenaline pumping through Harnel's system at this point is enough to ignore just about every strike made towards him, and he barely even notices the massive zweihanders, intent on making his strike connect. Raising his arms into the air for an overhead strike, the Zweihanders should collide with his sides... and even if they're magical, only piece his armor a little. Not only does he make his armor dense, it's adamantine and even then they'd have to get through the layer of metal-hard scales underneath.

The other weapons will have much the same result as last time, though one dagger will manage to nick the side of Harnel's neck - deep enough to get a lot of blood, but not enough to pierce a major artery or vein.

The tower shields won't save Kataki. As shown previously, Conflict can cleave straight through them, right to the spirit cowering behind the wall of equipment.

The spirit isn't actually cowering behind the weapons, it is the weapons. But conflict does not only cut through the shields as any normal weapon would, it cuts through the very concept of Katagi with this act, sundering the aether holding the weapons together.

The weapons making up the now gravely wounded spirit starts to fall down on the ground as Katagi is losing control of the kami representing the other weapons.

But it's not dead yet however and in a last effort it pulls the weapons which makes up is quickly decaying body together and forces them up against Harnel, hoping to cause at least some injury.

This act is however not only some desperate attempt to cause more injury, the spirit is actually seeking to hide itself in a weapon or armor the half-dragon owns.

As the single massive surge of weapons comes forth, Harnel will perform a maneuver taught to him by his father. When a wave of something is coming at you, you split it to leave yourself a safe area within. And so, that's what Harnel does here; a single large sweep that will nearly cut the very air. Close to all the power In Harnel's body will go into this movement, exerting through the blade in a way that wouldn't be possible for a normal sword. If Kataki included himself as part of this forward surge, he'll likely be split along with the weapons that made up his body.

Harnel manages to slash through not only the weapons but Katagi itself which cause the countless kami following it to surrender themselves to nothingness once again. The weapons all dropping down on the ground (presumingly along with Harnel, can't be good to land on a bunch of weapons though.)

The harmony within the great spirit is rendered asunder and the identity it have build up all during all these years is lost as it goes back to being an simple idol of worship. But as long as the idea of Katagi exist the kami will as well, but perhaps not as this form.

Given that they have no direction, and Harnel is still covered in armor and scales, falling over ends up not being so bad.

Mainly because that's exactly what he does.

Harnel falls over onto his side, likely landing on a pile of weaponry as he does so. Not that it'll hurt him, as long as most of the pointy bits are lying down as well., but he'll be unconscious before he hits the ground, passing out from using the move he just did, as well as from the general pain. He'll be out for a couple hours here - well long enough for the goddess to give him a reward, if she sees fit.

Meanwhile, the vines coiled round the flower are quick to react to Trisha's attack. One falls to her strike, sacrificing itself to keep the flower lady safe, but the others, three to be precise, launch their attacks at her. Two attempt to pierce straight through her, aimed at roughly the right location to hit her lungs (seems the plant has done this before, perhaps?) and the third lashes out for her neck, trying to wrap round and get to work on crushing it.

Trisha sees the vines coming and turns slightly to the side, allowing the two aiming for her chest to glance off her breastplate, but the third will find itself where it wants to be. When it tries to crush her throat however, it'll find a hard steel gorget in the way as part of her suit of platemail. Setting her other hand on the pommel of her zweihander, she makes it spin, trying to slice the vine wrapped around her throat before turning the spin into a hard and quick thrust towards the body of the flower.

Furball gives a gasp as his wound begins to heal, but even so, has to set his paw on a tree to steady himself. After a few deep breaths, he turns to give Acacia a somewhat annoyed look. It isn't too bad, and he isn't angry, but he just wished that she had had the foresight to at least tell them what she had been planning to be up against. She had nearly died as a result, and that wasn't something either he or his other half would have liked. At all.

"Would you rather speak to me, or Jonah?"
Furball asks in a deep growl.

So Michicora is still held by the arm by one arm, while the other is held at bay by her scimitar. Seems to be a bit of a stalemate...for the moment.

But Trisha is dangerously close to the flower, and refuses to be slowed, no matter how many vines are sent at her...it'd seem.

In one last, desperate attempt to slow her down, all but the one vine holding Michicora are recalled to deal with the warrior lady swinging round a big ol' sword. The vine round her neck barely has a chance to start squeezing before the sword slices through it, and two more act as a barrier to absorb the swing at the flower, both being rendered useless in the process.

The last vine still standing tries to get at Trisha's face, her eyes specifically, jabbing wildly at her.

Long term effect isn't what Alpha was going for. Pain and distraction were and in this it seems he's succeeded admirably.

Whirling about Alpha strikes again, driving the point of his blade toward the Fyarl's chest in a strong forward jab that could likely bowl over any normal human opponent. There's a moment of weakness at the end of the attack though, a flash of pain across Alpha's face, a sudden uncertainty in his stance as he tries to pull back from the thrust into guard and his broken ribs shift agonizingly under the pressure.

He'll recover quickly enough. But for a moment, yes, for a moment he'd completely off-balance and reeling from the pain.

Several cracks will form in the armor, though none are deep enough to actually draw blood. At this point, the Fyarl is getting annoyed at the jabs and slashes, though, so it'll attempt to roll over and quickly stagger into an upright position.
Snarling with frustration One tries again, abandoning all pretense of caution and aiming another brutally fast strike at where he already cracked the beast's armor. He would have his pound of flesh for the humiliation this crude thing put him through, if he had to hack at it for hours.

Finbar looks at him for a second. He's currently clicking away with the lighter, trying to keep calm. He does not like the thought of giving it up at all. But he's not going to risk everyone's life just to keep his own sense of calmness. He tosses it at First, though he begins to look extremely overwhelmed by the situation shortly thereafter.
Catching the silver trinket mid-flight First turns, looking back towards his brothers. The obvious course of action is to throw it to them, let them use it to kill or frighten off the demon. But which one?

If he throws the lighter now, the demon will likely just focus it's attacks on whichever brother catches it. So, he waits. Tensed up, grinding his teeth with impatience, he waits for the demon to focus it's attention on one triplet or the other.

In a few hours, as night approaches the crab has been broken up and is being cooked in several fires along the shore.

The attack probably wouldn't have done much damage anyway, seeing as how the chest region is the most heavily armored. The hulking demon will attempt to take advantage of this moment of imbalance, though, attempting to shove him onto the ground, pin him down, and suffocate him with a stream of mucus.

If the attack on Alpha fails, the Fyarl will focus his frustration entirely on One, first attempting to rip the weapon from his hand and firing mucus at his legs. It'll then attempt to crush One with his rather large foot.

If the attack against Alpha is at least partially successful, however, it will focus all its rage on him, attempting to bludgeon him to death. If One continues to attack while he's doing this, it'll grimace (and maybe occasionally try to swat him a way), but otherwise will still attack Alpha. It seems that the Fyarl has a higher pain tolerance when angry.

Finbar is on the ground about one-hundred meters away; he's feeling very overwhelmed at the moment, and is currently hiding his face while rocking himself back and forth.

In what is possibly a record case of tactic whiplash, the dragon has gone from vaguely playing to becoming completely seeing-red enraged.

Yolvich, relieved by the change of attention, clambered up the mountain slope to higher ground. Two boulders near each other- good enough for cover. Dashing behind them, he placed his crossbow on them. Reverse repelling himself to the beast was a bad idea. But, perhaps anchoring it...

He held the crossbow above the crack, waiting for a shot. With the heavy windspeeds and the beast's charge, he'd have to wait to avoid hitting his ally.

    Pond

Mateo realises his only chance of surviving is to reach the surface and wait for the Siren to come up, or maybe flee. But none of his forms are good swimmers; bears are the best, but probably too heavy from this deep and the siren knows he can take that form. Wolves aren't too effective swimmers either, preferring to hunt on dry land. Which leaves the last form. It's the worst swimmer, but also the lightest. And the siren hasn't seen it yet, either, so that's a bonus. Has to be now. Mateo's clothes morph into his flesh as his legs atrophy into stumpy things designed to support a lot of weight upside down. His fingers and arms lengthen, vast stretches of skin linking his fingers to each other and his arms to his ribs. His ears grow and his face distorts into a beady-eyed, ugly snout with viciously sharp fangs. Mateo is becoming a bat.

But instead of getting smaller, he's getting bigger. Mateo's bat-shape is three metres from head to tail, with a wingspan to match. It's hollow bones and lightened frame should pull it upwards, though it's not as light as a bird the same size would be, and it's even worse at moving through the water and struggling than Mateo was when he was humanoid. It has no claws to rip through the weeds, relying on its size and buoyancy to bring him to the surface where another form can aid and enable his escape properly.

He couldn't do it, and neither could Jonah. Both were just glad she's alive and that they got there in time for her to be so. Instead of an argument, Acacia will find herself dragged into Furball's embrace as he nips her shoulder lovingly. "Maybe later." He whispers with a nuzzle.

The vine barely misses Trisha's eyes, but it still succeeds in at least partially blinding her by opening a deep and bloody gash across her brow, allowing her black blood to seep into her eyes and mess with her vision. The blow makes her step falter, likely providing an opening for the plant to exploit.

Aladar looks over to his left as the flowers begin to form the top half of Fenghar's body. Fenghar stares, his face containing no emotion what so ever but because of it an impression was given of, the impression that he didn't trust him one bit and he wanted nothing to do with him. Fenghar disperses into flowers and begins to rise further into the skies, disappearing from the battle and leaving the hunting grounds.

Aladar on the other hand drops down to the ground, his body fully formed and walking towards Fade.
"I don't trust you...I don't even like you," he says in a mocking tone.
"but trust me...when I come with my little, "favour," you would wish I hadn't," he thinks to himself as he reveals a smirk on his face.

    A Forest Near a Cliff

In Harnel's dreams, a spirit comes to him, and a memory. It speaks to him of the false glories of war, and the foolishness of mortal men. It speaks to him of many things, but though its mouth moves, he hears not a word.

Finally, it asks for his hand, and should he reach out to it he'll feel a searing pain across his knuckles and the back of his hand. While he won't remember what the spirit said, the brand cut into his scales will always know the tale.

When he awakens, The same mark will be there on the back of his hand, a black array of lines that make a compass rose, with a deeper black dot in the center. Nine perfect strikes.

Should he choose to lay hand to any of the weapons he fell upon, or any weapon he ever encounters, no matter how exotic, he'll find he has perfect, instinctual knowledge of how to wield it defensively. Not in his mind, but in his hands. The knowledge, though, is intentionally missing any lethal strikes. Those he will have to learn on his own.

Hopefully he will pay attention to the lesson in this boon.

For anyone in plots run by me, know that I always tailor solutions to those in the plot. The answer may not be obvious, but it's there, and doable by the displayed abilities of the present characters. If you need help or hints, I'll try to be available to provide them.

    [A Forest Near A Cliff]

Harnel will wake up a short while later, remembering the dream vividly. He ignores the pain he feels for a moment as he examines the mark on the back of his hand, examining the ridges of it with his other hand. Certainly not just a dream then.

He looks at it for a moment longer before standing, and looking at the massive pile of weaponry that used to be kataki's physical form. Enchanted equipment, weapons of every shape, size, and make. Ye gods, it was an entire armory just sitting there.

but of course, Harnel is an avid believer in the concept of "Spoils of War"

How was he going to transport it all? He wonders. Honestly, that was a lot, even for him. And then he looks at the trees, and an idea strikes. Taking conflict, he moves over to one of the trees...

    ------------------

It takes a few hours, but by the end of this time, Harnel has cut down four of the trees nearby and has shaped them to be... mostly smooth. it's not a carpenter's work by any means, but Harnel understands a good bit of what he's doing. Each one has been stripped of limbs and bark to reduce their weight, and their front curved so that when the move forward, the don't catch on things.

This was followed by carving out holes, both to lighten the weight further and to have something to loop a set of chains through; after all, a few of the weapons in the pile were chain weapons, such as spiked chains, kusari gamas, and others. Using those as binding in place of rope, and using the cheaper weapons as a sort of primitive binding system, he's somehow managed to create a travois for the huge amount of weapons.

And with that, he's off, straining under the pressure of the 8000 pound load, but somehow managing to drag it behind him by forming a harness out of chains. It's slow going, but damn if he isn't making progress. He's outside of the hunting grounds within another hour, and on the way home.

In one of his hands he holds a copy of his shadow while his normal shadow is right there. Then Fade's shadow swallow the copy. Then Fade's shadow returns to his body.

    "Ok that's it."

Fade turns to leave the hunting grounds by foot waving a goodby at Aladar.

"Now we are even." he says as he leaves.

Aladar shakes his head, smirking at Fade whilst he walks away, slowly dispersing into flowers and following his brothers trail.
"It's not over," he thinks to himself, "until next time..." he whispers.

Alpha's thrown to the ground, dropping his sword in the process, but realizing what's about to happen next he turns his head aside and covers it with an arm as best he can. Mucus still gets all over him, freezing his eyelids shut and his mouth as well, but his nose is still unclogged enough to prevent complete suffocation.

The bludgeoning to death? That's more immediately serious. The punches raining down break bones, rupture skin, crush the life out of Alpha bit by bit. Einherjar supersoldiers are tougher than nails, but even so, Alpha can't survive this sort of brutal onslaught for long.

Throwing his sickle aside to free up a hand, One catches the lighter as it tumbles through the air. Not wasting a second he tries to leap up only the Fyarl's back and lock his partially-immobilized arm around it's neck, before jamming the silver trinket against it's eyes.

    Hopefully that will distract it.

Finbar is on the ground about one-hundred meters away; he's feeling very overwhelmed at the moment, and is currently hiding his face while rocking himself back and forth.
Considering the circumstances, I think it would be entirely unfair to blame Finbar for being a tad bit terrified. A death-mucus shooting demon did just leap out of the sands and try to stomp on him.

Now that the Fyarl is focused upon Alpha and presumably not paying so much attention to One, First hurls the lighter to his brother before taking off running towards the demon.

Oh, its definitely not Finbar's fault. Despite being in the Nexus for three months, twenty-six days, and nine hours (Finbar's been keeping track), he's never been attacked before. Being from the mid 1950s doesn't help, either.

Meanwhile, for the Fyarl, it seems that things have taken a turn for the worse. It's releasing a nasty scream that sounds like a fusion of an elephant's trumpeting and a velociraptor's screech. Second degree burns form across its upper face as its skin makes contact with the silver object, and one of its eyes even explodes. It'll get up (forgetting poor Alpha for now) and try to buck in an attempt to get One off of it. This''ll likely only hurt it more as One's partially-locked arm slams against its throat. The sound of its wails distress Finbar even more.

    [Forest Clearing]

Michicora, analyzing the situation theorizes that killing the plant is probably the best way to save Trisha as well. So as soon as the plants let's go off her she quickly attempts to cut off the last plant holding her with a few well-aimed slashes. She then darts directly towards the flower lady with her both scimitars and attempts to open up with a slash aimed to the flower woman's shoulder.

If this misses she can use her other sword arm to perform a second attack as she dodges, this one aimed further down her body.

    Heading Towards the Mountains

One is thrown head over heels by the demon's bucking, his injured, mucus-covered arm unable to properly maintain it's hold. He hits the sand rolling and comes up on his feet, holding the lighter out like a ward against the demon.

Meanwhile, First grabs his incapacitated brother and begins hauling him away from the fight. Alpha... Alpha's not in a good way. The vicious beating he took has reduced his face to raw hamburger, fractured multiple bones, even shoved on the already broken ribs through his chest, blood soaking through his shirt and leaving a dark red smear across the sands as he's dragged to safety.
