Adir smiles gently. He'll nestle in beside her and put a hand on her stomach, if she'll permit it. Making an effort to talk slowly and quietly, he says, "Is there anything you want?"

[Gullara]

[Later]

"Not right now, thanks." Sakura turns her head to give Adir a little kiss. "Pretty soon I'm just going to be able to set Laela on my stomach when I want to hold her like this." She says with a giggle. Laela stirs a little bit, but doesn't wake. "Whoops."

[Murkus]

[Master Bedroom]

"Hopefully her brother won't kick her awake when you do," Adir says with a grin. He looks out into the bare morning, watching the sun crest over their trees. "Maybe you should, uh, leave Laela to me from now on. Y'know, at night. You need your sleep for the baby." Adir's tone is hesitant, but resolute.

[Gullara]

[Master Bedroom]

"Oh, so you've found a new argument, have you?" Sakura gives him a mock disapproving look. That man, always thinking of her. Tsk tsk. "But I guess you're probably right. How am I supposed to get through the night without seeing this beautiful little face, though?"

[Murkus]

[Master Bedroom]

Sakura's got no idea. Adir grins at his victory and slings an arm around her shoulders. "She relents! Awesome." He glances down at the sleeping baby, cocking his eyebrow. In all seriousness, he says, "That is a tough one." He smirks at her, sober expression evaporating. "Guess you'll have to make do with me."

[Gullara]

[Master Bedroom]

Sakura sighs dramatically. "I'll make due. I guess you're almost as cute as Laela." Speaking of Laela, it looks like all this talking has finally roused her. She whines a bit at first, but it stops long before becoming anything earsplitting.

"Why hello there, little one. How are you doing?" Laela puts her thumb in her mouth and stares up at her parents. "I bet your hungry. Here you go." Sakura shifts the baby up so she can eat, and she latches on without a moment's delay.

[Murkus]

[Master Bedroom]

"Almost," Adir agrees wholeheartedly. Even when the kid's being fussy, she must makes him wanna laugh. He does just that when she stares up at them. "That look she gives us. I'd pay a fortune to know what she's thinking." Though what she was thinking becomes much more obvious in the next few seconds. Adir laughs anyway. "Or not."

[Gullara]

[Master Bedroom]

"You both think about the same thing for completely different reasons. It's all boobs boobs boobs." Sakura giggles and shakes her head at Adir. Clearly she has a keen insight into his thought process.

[Murkus]

[Master Bedroom]

Adir throws his head back and laughs a moment, letting it loll back down when he's done. He glances at Sakura, then waves a hand at her chest. "Can you blame us? These things are awesome." Adir shuts his eyes and leans over to plant a kiss on her cheek. "And you're so very generous with them."

[Gullara]

[Master Bedroom]

Sakurarolls her eyes dramatically, but her smile betrays her. "Just think, the whole household would collapse if I cut you off." She gives him a suspicious look. "Ah ha! So that's why you're always catering to me. I'm on to you."

[Murkus]

Master Bedroom

"Yes, honey, you caught me," Adir says with a heavy dose of sarcasm. The stag nibbles on the tip of Sakura's ear and kisses her friskily. "Now you know why I wanted more kids so soon!" He 'cackles' maniacally, and on a whim, tries to tickle her. Hopefully this won't disturb their baby, or things could get... fussy.

[Gullara]

[Master Bedroom]

Sakura gasps! "I can't believe it! You're too devious for your own good!" The dryad laughs, and laughs all the harder when he tickles her. Laela is jostled away from her eating, and she doesn't look happy about that. The two parents only get a moment of warning. Better do something quick before she really starts crying.

[Murkus]

[Master Bedroom]

"Mm, I dunno, I like to think it's very good for me," Adir says in his best deep, seductive voice. Well, much as he can without laughing. The stag's about to say something else foolish when he spots the look on Laela's face. "Uh-oh. Tantrum time. Better latch the little vampire back on, honey."

[Gullara]

[Master Bedroom]

"Whoops." Sakura is quick to guide Laela back into place. Satisfied, the baby gets back to suckling hungrily. Crisis averted.

"Phew, that was close. Look what you almost did." She says 'disapprovingly'. "Your silliness is nothing but trouble."

[Murkus]

[Master Bedroom]

"Me? Not my fault she's so cranky," Adir says indignantly, putting his arms around Sakura's belly. "I just hope she doesn't mind sharing."

[Gullara]

[Master Bedroom]

Sakura giggles. "Of course she won't mind. She's going to get along perfectly with her brother or sister." Sakura nods sagely. "Siblings always get along. You and your brothers and sisters were always good, right?" The dryad gives him a wry grin. She doesn't believe any of that for a second.

[Halae]

[The Barbeque]

Sarget chuckles again. "Well, that's not exactly true, Harnel."

"He's a tree." Sakura says with a nod. "He sounds like a man, but he's a tree. So he works differently than we do." Seems pretty cut and dry to her.

[Barbeque]

"Well," Harnel says simply, "I never did claim to be a botanist."

Which is basically his way of saying 'I find this weird, but ok'.

[Lost_Deep]

"Yeah, once you get flowers everything is both genders. Albeit... I don't know how that works with dryads. Or Treants." Kirin isn't a botanist, either, but knows a little bit about most things.

[Murkus]

[Master Bedroom]

"Oh. Oh-ho-ho. Do not get me started on my brothers," Adir says, sweeping one arm to the side. "No way. We'd steal mates, trophies, food... gods, I'm not sure there's something I haven't fought over."

[Gullara]

[Master Bedroom]

"You know, that's not very encouraging when both me and Laela are getting a sibling each." Sakura loosens an arm to give Adir's ribs a little poke.

[Murkus]

[Master Bedroom]

Adir gets poked! "Ow! Hey, I'm just being honest. You wouldn't want me to lie, would you? That's not good for Laela!" Adir protests, grinning like a fool. "Besides, it was in good fun. We'd lock antlers a little, wrestle around, maybe throw a few punches... but we always made up." Adir rolls his eyes. "If we didn't, dad would just knock our fool heads together. Really hands on approach."

[Gullara]

[Master Bedroom]

Sakura laughs. "Well, that's one way to get through that thick skull of yours." Suddenly she's deadly serious, and sounds a bit worried. "Oh no... You don't think that will get passed on to the kids do you?" And just as suddenly as it left, her wry grin returns.

[Murkus]

[Master Bedroom]

"You're so mean," Adir says, starting to laugh once she grins. The look of shock on his face was priceless. "You're gonna be such a bad influence."

[Gullara]

[Master Bedroom]

Sakura laughs along with him. "Aw, you don't think so, do you?" She sticks out her tongue at him.

Laela stpos eating then and peers up at her parents. "All done, are you?" Sakura wipes away a bit of milk on the baby's mouth. "I'm not a bad influence, right Laela? No I'm not, no I'm not." She baby talks. Laela giggles and babbles in response.

"Yeah, well, she just agrees cause she got the boob," Adir says poutily, raising his eyebrows at Laela. He tries to tickle under her chin a little. "Ain't that right, cranky?" The stag blinks and glances at Sakura. "Why do we ask babies all this stuff?"

[Gullara]

[Master Bedroom]

Adir quickly earns Laela's attention, if only because now she has his hand to grab at. "Anaaana." She grabs hold and gums at his hand, getting milky drool all over it. Yuck.

"Because it's important to talk to them as much as we can. It helps them learn to talk themselves." Sakura says, demonstrating her knowledged gained from her pile of baby books. "And don't forget how cute she is when she tries to talk back. That's very important."

[Murkus]

[Master Bedroom]

Adir leaves his roughened hand at Laela's mercy, smiling. "Good enough for me. I'm glad you know all this stuff." He raises his eyebrows at her, eyes bright. "Just, y'know, lemme know if I do anything wrong."

[Gullara]

[Master Bedroom]

"You know, you could read my books too." Sakura says teasingly. "You're going to need to know this stuff. Unless you're just planning on relying on me to tell you all this." She sticks her tongue out at him.

[Murkus]

[Master Bedroom]

"Reading? Gods. Last thing I read was the manual for my Helldiver. Didn't even finish it," Adir says, tapping his fingers on Sakura's side. His lips flatten in a thoughtful line. "Alright. Sure." The stag reaches over to their nightstand and grabs the first book his hand finds. He holds it up for both of them to see. "What's this one about?"

Barbeque --> Kitchen

"Well. Excitin' as all this is, I think I'd better start some supper," Jon says, getting to his feet with a slight groan. That grey in his hair isn't for show. He smirks at Harnel and Adir. "Can't keep expecting mothers waitin'."

[Gullara]

[Master Bedroom]

"That one is about babies within the first couple years of their life. It has all different kinds of tips and milestones and stuff. It actually says that it shouldn't be too long before Laela says her first word." Sakura explains.

[Barbeque => Kitchen]

"Oh yeah. We should come watch. Don't want you getting lonely in there, and maybe Adir or Cessie want to get some tips." Sakura aims a silly grin Cessie's way. She knows Harnel does all the cooking over at their house.
