Pedivere moved forward, axe out and made sure that the other half-orc was protected whilst he prepared the rope.

Bishop mourned the loss of his jack knife, lost it while at sea to one of the crewmen in a bet. As much as he lived for his grip, it was always a good idea to be prepared for more intimate encounters. "I reckon that it would be useful, much obliged." He tips his hat towards the young templar.

Pedivere smiled and nodded. Deftly he drew the axe from the looped hook on his belt, flipped it over and handed it haft first to the gunslinger.
Who'd have thought, we'd be riding on magic wolves and preparing to enter a thousand year old temple spewing some corrupting mist? If only they'd mentioned something like this in seminary, he half joked. Still he thought, better to be entering this ancient, deep and potentially dangerous temple then chasing their tails and letting innocents die back in town.

Bishop chortles lightly deftly gripping and flipping the small axe in his hands "Who knows, this may be a drug enduced dream cause by the mist. We could all be sleeping in the inn right now with drool dripping down our faces, it would at least be more believable then this. Though I was tempted to start a bet on how long that naive orc savage would be able to stay on the wolf. I am more than sure that one would be more fierce than any bull."

The Paladin took a hand off his axe haft and wiped his mouth and chin. Nope, dry. He grinned holding up the hand to show no sign of drool. He then looked back to the barbarian and his rope work. Hope we don't have far to climb, armour doesn't make for good spelunking atire.

Bishop hears the sudden cry out which was followed promptly by an expected crash. Shaking his head and almost laughing he mutters "You kids these days and always being in a hurry. Well at least I will have a cushion down yonder if these old bones decide to go for a dive." Whistling an old tune, Bishop takes off his kerchief and wraps it around his left hand then proceeds to go over to the rope and begins to slowly climb down, making sure to take his time and arrive at the bottom safely.

As makoa goes over the edge of the hole and start down his hand slips and he fails to keep his hold on the rope. As he falls, he lands in a pool of deep water. the room around him is dark as he surfaces, looking around the hole in the ceiling provides enough light to tell that he is in a smallish room with 2 doors in it.

Pedivere looked at the rope, the half-orc who had fallen and the depth of the climb. Sighing, he started to strip his mail, then looping it around the rope, he carefully descended.
Once at the bottom, he retrieved his armour. This will go quicker if someone gives me a hand, he said whilst slipping it back on.

Take 10 on climb to the bottom - gives a check of 13
Put armour back on - 4 minutes, 2 minute with assistance.

Thankyou friend Makoa, said Pedivere. Hmmm, this doesn't look like much of a temple so far, unless it's a temple dedicated to some underground god of doors.
Pedivere moved to the door on the left and checked the gap underneath it to see if that was where the mist was coming from.
I'm sure one of you have better trained eyes for this kind of thing than I, he said to the half-elf and human.

From what I can tell, the door looks fine. Vash slowly opens it and checks the other side.

It is a peculiar smell. I can't quite figure it out, but soon enough we'll likely find the source. After Vash'iar finishes working the door, he opens it and continues on with his cautious pace.
