Re: Highland Archipelago: Terror in the Mist (IC)
Inside the room is mostly empty, however in the center of the room lies a large skeleton of a wolf, it sits completely devoid of flesh or muscle, it mouth hangs open.
Spoiler
Vash and Makoa see a small glint in between the teeth of the skeleton.

Re: Highland Archipelago: Terror in the Mist (IC)
Bishop ignores the stench, he's lived through much worse while on the run, especially that long haul with a pig farmer... Neddless to say he keeps himself focused and prepared, ready to open fire at first sight of hostile beings. Smiling he looks over to the half elf "Pardon me, guess I had too many beans last night, if I were you I wouldn't light a tindertwig or else we might all go up."

Being ever cautious in millinium old sunken temple, Vash addresses the skeleton.
Draconic:
SpoilerIf you're a guardian or some protector of this temple, please know that we are NOT grave robbers. We were sent by... He pauses for a second realizing they never even got the name of the wolf that sent them down here. We were sent by the Shade Wolves.
He then repeats himself in the other tongues he knows
If you're a guardian or some protector of this temple, please know that we are NOT grave robbers. We were sent by the Shade Wolves.

Does anyone know anything about this temple, perhapos its religious background? I do not read, nor will I ever but perhaps one of you have.

Bishop shakes his head "Sorry to steal your position in the group, I forgot elves had no sense of humor but at least I don't act rashly like somone I know. Besides just because one grows old doesn't mean they have to grow up and my experience has already shown its worth in battle."

To each there own. I try not to waist my time dwelling on the faults of others. I know I have plenty of my own to worry about. Introspection is a gift I find many humans waist. I was just checking to make sure you were aware of it. I would just hate for you to be ignorant of it; which apparently you are not. You're just apathetic to it.

C*** F***ING PIECE OF S***!!!! How did I miss that.
SpoilerNote to self... take 20 when there is almost definitely going to be a trap.
Anything of note about the locket. In an ancient temple, if it's highly polished and looks new its a no brainier its magic. But if its all corroded and gross, then maybe there is something worth noting in its construction. Any words, name or sketch of a person of importance...
If there is nothing sending redflags as "Its cursed" Vash'iar will put it on to see if he feels any affects.

Their s a fine layer of undisturbed dust in the room, only the locket and skeleton were clean, when vash puts the locket on he feels nothing. inside the locket is a picture of a young woman.
In the room are also 2 doors, and the smell does seem stronger in here.

The young paladin kept quiet for most of the immediate discussion. It wasn't his place to tell the men, for they were grown and could make their own decisions, how they should act. Argumentative debate however, could wait til later. This was neither the time, nor the place for it. Not if it meant that minds were not on the task at hand.
Keep your heads, the time for the debate of humour versus introspection can surely wait until we are not below ground against who knows what. Until then, lets agree to disagree and call it a draw.
He slid the axe back over his shoulder and approached the half-elf. Let me look at the hand, I should make sure that there is nothing that could cause infection, disease and indeed, I should check for poison.

The Paladin clucked his tongue as he inspected the wound on the rogue's hand.
This does not look good, friend. I fear that the bite looks like it will become infected, the darkened discolouration of the skin around the wound already indicates that you have contracted a disease from the bite. It is called Filth Fever, a potentially fatal disease that wastes the body until you are nothing more than a husk.
Pedivere removed his water-skin from his backpack and unstopped the flask. Fresh water isn't the best cure available, but it is the best we can manage here. We also need to bandage it to prevent it getting further infected.
Dousing the wound with water, Pedivere then removed a bandage from his backpack and wrapped the wound tightly. You have one, maybe three days before the onset of this virus. A strong lad like yourself should hopefully be able to fight it off, especially with care, but if it sets in, it will become harder and harder to fight.
I will check it again every hour to make sure that it is not getting worse.

Re: Highland Archipelago: Terror in the Mist (IC)
So you're saying that putting my hand into the toothy skeletal maw of a great wolf in an ancient sunken temple was a bad idea. Maybe next time I'll use a stick or something. He then laughs off his own carelessness. On the plus side, I have no intentions of being here for one, much less three days.
After checking the rest of the room, he continues on as he has, taking the door to his right (down on the map).

The Paladin nodded. True, Vash. But the Fever can kill you just as well if you're in a tavern as it can a dungeon. It doesn't care where you are. So we need to make sure it is treated.
Pedivere picked up the water bottle, stopped it and returned it to his pack. Then, hefting it onto his back, he redrew his axe and moved behind the Rogue.
Lead on.

He moved past Makoa to the gunslingers side. What's wrong? he asked, but began to check him for signs of illness or injury.

On Bishops forearm is a small bite wound, around the wound the flesh on Bishops arm is turning purple, you can idenitify the Infection as Ghoul Fever.

This was going from bad to worse. Vash had contracted Filth Fever and Bishop was being struck down by Ghoul Fever. He swore. He should have checked the wounds immediately after they had been delivered, he may have been able to do something about it, but now, in the ancient temple, there was little that could be done.
Ghoul Fever! he cursed. Probably from the fight in the guardhouse. It's deadly, but worse, you'll become a ghoul if it kills you.
Pedivere followed the same procedure he did for the bite wound on Vash's arm. His waterskin was now empty, but it was better for him to be thirsty then not treat the injury as best he could.
Like the Fever that Vash has, this will only get harder for you to fight off the sicker you become. Once we get back to town, we should see if Gabriel can remove the disease and restore your vitality.

The Shade wolves are just a rope climb away, and they clearly have some degree of magical abilities. We could try them first. Not to mention that the priest was less than helpful in just about every regard.
SpoilerIf the group decides to leave, Vash will be insisant that they look around the two paths by the makeshift entrance.

I agree, at the very least we should look to stop the fever and disease from spreading any further.
Makoa follows the brother to the rope. Will both of you be able to get up okay, if not we could probably assemble a simple lifting stretcher.

Vash had made his decision, but Pedivere could not let him wander the dungeon by himself. The village of the Shade Wolves was safe, Bishop should have no trouble talking to them and trying to get his illness cured and his physical malady healed. But Vash was another problem altogether. All it would take was for him to be overwhelmed or surprised, and though he was a powerful warrior, he was still vulnerable, especially by himself.
The Paladin sighed.
Are you ok to see the Shade Wolves by yourself Bishop? Vash might need help and I fear that he is wandering off with the lure of gold in his eyes.
